Now. The reason I hand-picked each and every one of you here tonight is because you all are some of the most open-minded and honest music journalists and addicts in the game right now, and I have a secret project to unveil in front of your eyes, a piece of music so left-field and extraordinary that it will make you change the way you feel, think, and SEE music in the foreseeable future! By a man you all recognise for his tough, unforgiving beat structures who has decided to try a new lane, and trust me guys, after this, you’ll be pulling the trigger to your own sonic knowledge!
We have, GRAPHWIZE (Yes, the same OG producer who you know most recently from Bub Styles and the works), but this time around, he’s working alongside a

Corban: So, do we have any questions for the artist?
Man 1: Yes, I do. So, Graph, may I ask, what inspired the change in lane? And why?
Graph: Yeah, man, it’s been a trip in and a half. Don’t get me wrong, I still fuck with that grime/underground hip-hop shit hard. I won’t ever turn my back on that. It’s just I felt like I wanted something new, something fresh, and what’s more fitting to that answer than working with a fashion designer?
Woman 1: May I ask, (love the EP first off) but what was it like working alongside VFOS and how does it compare to working with other ‘music artists in the industry?’
Graph: Solid question, thanks for that. So you gotta understand that for this sonic experience, we had to find a common ground between ‘fashion’ and ‘music’, and that’s not often mixed together to the extent we went. So I’ll admit it took a bit of back and forth, going back to the drawing board and discussing what works here and there and what he loved vs what I loved. And unlike two music heads who understood the industry, we are wired differently and have more ‘common ground’.
But here, it takes a lot of open-minded thinking and understanding by both parties by default to make it work, and I gotta say, although tough at times, it was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve done yet in my career.
Man 2: Final question, can you see yourself doing another expedition of this magnitude anytime soon?
Graph. Haha, I don’t know, man. I can’t guarantee anything yet as it was just freshly completed, and I do enjoy the end process of relaxing afterwards, but let’s just say ‘never say never’, man.
Corban: Well that’s the end of the special RSVP listening party. I told you, you’d never be the same afterwards! Make sure you keep updated with ‘The Serpent Tongue’ thank you to our guests Graph and VFOS and until next time. See you all fucking later
Serpent tongue OUT!
