Only a few days removed from reviewing this man’s full length project. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. Now he’s returned with a brand new single off an upcoming EP that’s sure to be a banger!
This is the brand new single by MC Bucket Top Boogz! Written and produced by himself just like it was on his last project!
Across this track we some an instrumental that’s more aura filled, minimal and ambient in execution!
You’ve got those hypnotic chords going in and out of the beat in a repetitive loop, followed by skeletal drums and some strings in the background! This beat is very bare compared to a lot of his other beats on his other project, but it gives off a strong atmospheric vibe! Almost outed worldly in sound, feel and touch!
This reminds me of a combination of Lo-Fi X Synth Pop elements with a sprinkle of Boom Bap mixed into it! It’s raw, unique, magical and surreal all in one!
As far as the rapping goes we have Boogz sounding as confident and powerful as ever. His trademark methodical approach to his bars is in full effect on this project, his paced bars which includes his introspective lyricism, precise flow, heavy landing rhythm and a monotone, cold delivery like he’s a wise guy on board a yacht who just found out puss flipped to the feds. -Ruthless.
Unlike his other album, he maintains just one frame of delivery here to complement the equally calculated and rough around the edges instrumental with his own, no nonsense yet equally sharp and cut throat bars that prove he doesn’t need to do any dumb fancy shit to go viral, he can do it on mere talent alone!
What will the coming EP bring? Will this Single represent the sounds to come? I couldn’t tell you. All I know is this track itself was DOPE and I’m excited to hear the rest!
