I’m not exaggerating when I say this might be the most viral hype I’ve seen this year for a pre-release. Anyone who’s anyone in the underground was promoting this like it was the second coming! Of course, it got my attention very quickly, and now that I’ve heard it, yes, this is THAT GOOD. Let’s talk about it!

This is the brand-new album by MC Datkidbravo, which is produced by Comma Uno and Emmethe3rd, and together they drop 16 tracks with the likes of:

Are you fucking reading that feature list? That is beyond stacked. That roster alone would put fear into any other project coming out this year, and when you combine those producers and MC? Nah, the game is a bust. Bravo won.

Let’s start with the production! This is one of the most ridiculously impressive instrumentals I’ve heard in years! I’m talking beats that are immersive, atmospheric, and surreal, unlike any I’ve heard in a minute. 

These instrumentals are paying homage to the splash era that Al Divino and Estee cultivated for the last decade but done with their own original and creative twist on it!

What to expect on this album is ambient, jazz, soul, wavy rap, with even a track with country influences! (Out Ya Orbit) This album truly has everything that makes this one of the most engaging and mesmerising listens of 2025. 

We ain’t talking just the instrumentals themselves but the way they are handled! Each track feels like a Cinema Dolby Atmos level of immersion. It feels like I’m transported to a different realm with each song and just hopping through 16 different areas before the album is finished. 

This isn’t just an ‘album’, it’s an inter-dimensional score with a Stanley Kubrick level of intensity, depth, and eye for perfection. When you listen to this album, you aren’t merely vibing to music but walking through the heart and souls of the producers themselves, as they have quite literally placed pieces of themselves into this album! You ain’t finding an album as immersive as this, period. 

As far as the MC goes, with such a tremendous task ahead of him to match the ridiculous energy of this album, he pulls off the impossible and lays down verses that are not only filled with some of the dopest and sharpest lyrical elements, one-liners, puns, and street poetry of the year, he’s also got the uncanny charisma, enthusiasm, and passion that very few can bring to the table!

What makes his verses (alongside that roster) so compelling is the heart! The pure conviction and love for the game can be felt in every breath taken on this album! He’s got natural skill, of course. I was blown away from the very first track and hearing his first few bars. 

BUT

On top of that, he’s one of those MC’s that you can tell put all his effort and energy into this record. For him, this isn’t just another record to add to a discography or to fulfil the ever-demanding consistency of the streaming era or to satisfy fans— nah, fuck fans, he’s doing this album for himself to satisfy his own overwhelming urge to be the best and to prove to himself and everyone that he’s the man to watch out for!

As someone who has input himself into the landscape with reviews, I see so many artists who are just making music for the fuck of it. Just because they feel they ‘have to’ as an artist with absolutely no passion or fire or desire, just empty music and words.

From the opening track I could hear and feel this man’s love for the art, his pure heart that beats like an artists and I mean that in it’s rawest form a man who LIVES to make real ART and his verses are nothing if not that! Short, cut up expressions of his art on display for all of us to witness and it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve had the privilege to hear!

All the names I’m familiar with from Al, Estee, ???, BlueHill, Erg One, SMELLO all these men have that common. They are pure ARTISTS who make it their life missions to provide the die hards with real art that can be consumed, appreciated and last forever! He couldn’t have found a better crew to work with.

In my opinion this is a MUST LISTEN ALBUM. You won’t find an artist more passionate than him and his producers. This is underground’s Mona Lisa and whether it’s appreciated in the present time or not, this will go down as one of the best albums in underground period!
