As far as I’m concerned this feels like the final evolution of this MC. I’ve seen his career progress like POKEMON! He started his career (to me anyway) as a naive charmander just putting his name and words out there.
Then as time passed he learnt a bit more and lived more gaining more ‘experience points’ during his battle with the thing we call ‘life’ and in that progress evolved again into a stronger and more adapt charmeleon who was ready to face the industry with a hardened exterior and new moves learnt along the way!
Now we’ve come to the conclusion. The part where he’s achieved his overdue final transformation as the diabolical charizard with breath of fire and wings of liberty he’s now ready for the world and all the adventures and adversaries to come! This is where we are now

So, this is the brand new EP by MC FLYG and Producer Drew Prince who is an upcoming producer and MC from Detroit who also possess an extensive underground production catalog!
Together they surprise the industry with a fresh collection of 6 tracks and with only 9 minutes of content to work with they didn’t have any room for error and thankfully they not only utilise but reinvent the definition of ‘quality’ on this EP!
Let me ask the readers, you know how in movies there’s always a scene where the main character or main villain will take a line of coke or shot of alcohol then walk into a club and the directors make the music playing in the building the most surreal sounds you’ve ever heard?
Well this EP is that in a more complex form. This project has a strong disco, funk, jazz and new Jack swing all wrapped up into a 9 minute extravaganza that is sure to impress! All these elements are elevated and manipulated to showcase its best sides!
Also the good thing about this record being so short is that each track feels like a mini shot of adrenaline packed into 6 songs! When you work with such little time frames you have a responsibility as an artist or producer to make sure each track you do have absolutely goes fucking hard! And that’s exactly what happens here!
There’s no weird break or awkward moment of silence or unfitting beat change. It’s a complete project that flows from each other song in the most synchronous way possible. Each track has its own sonic personality and characteristics that make it original as well as complimenting the EP as a whole!
That’s not an easy thing to conceptualise and yet Drew Prince does it! Shoutout to him!
Back on it again we have FLYG who I admitted in the opener that he has evolved to what I feel is his ‘most complete form’ and with that being said after re playing this EP a handful of times I remain stunned at his performance.
He’s taking the style of cats like Mickey Diamond or Lil Wayne the one line sharp wordplay and he’s making it in his own image!
He’s taking these incredible beats and making sure to add a combination of witty and adventurous bars that put a fantastical spin on the record whether that be his pop culture, serious or wrestling references everything he says and performs is fun, creative and original!
For him to make a fucking 9 minute project feel this immersive and beautifully done is really impressive. Each song he presents a fresh outlook and perspective on his flow, rhythm and character as a whole and it absolutely kills!
Overall. Another fantastic effort by FlyG! His growth is quite scary to watch how quickly he’s learning but I’m here for every step! Shoutout to the main man!
