But regardless, let’s get into the brand-new track off the highly anticipated upcoming FFR III!
This is the brand-new track by legendary MC The Bad Seed. You’ll call him the rotten apple or the forbidden fruit, but the fact remains he’s still rapping circles around most of the ‘ripe’ fruit, and he’s here to prove that again! This time around, he’s accompanied by producer Silverback Lauren, a beatmaker I’m not well-versed in, but if he’s pairing with the Seed, then he’s gonna be DOPE!
Starting with said production, we have a real classic old-school 90’s Brooklyn style beat. This reminds me of a Notorious BIG instrumental. It’s in your face, gritty, and unapologetic!
You’ve got those aggressively applied horns, thick drums, and bass deep enough to darken your soul and leave you mean-mugging the world for days!
This is the PERFECT BEAT for The Bad Seed to go off on! I also love it incorporates those G-Funk style subtle chords that remind you ever so lightly of a 90’s ‘Chronic’ era Dre influence! Or the intro sound to GTA: San Andreas. Either way, a nice homage to the 90’s itself!
Man, when we’re talking about The Seed, when is he ever subtle? NEVER. This man spits in the face of it, and he’s back to remind everyone again x100 that no matter how old he gets, he ain’t ever losing a step because he’s out for blood!
In this track, he talks about everything from growing up and listening to Rakim and Erik B for the first time! To judging the young generation and how they operate!
He goes on to mention ‘Still rap a circle around a whipper snapper’ and he even mentions how ‘my bones still hurt, but I still don’t know a mattress’
Or how the young generation ‘wet around the ears, don’t even know how to piss yet’
This song is a full verbal assault on the young men and women who think they run this shit just because they’re young and full of a false sense of confidence. Trust me, young bloods, compared to the SEED, you still got at least 30 years of living to do, to even attempt to enter into his lane of work!
This man has seen and done it all, and just like an angry old headteacher who is underpaid and overworked, he doesn’t mind telling you about it!
Once again, his flow is ruthless, his pen game destructive, and his attitude as honest and disrespectful as anyone you’ll ever see! He’s the same everywhere you go, and that’s something most can’t say!
