(83rd Strike)

What a blessing today is. We get to celebrate a duo of epic proportions. Two men who could (and have) easily take over the wave solo, but together? That almost feels like overkill but in the best way possible. So with that in mind, it’s time to discuss what could be the biggest collaboration of the year!

This is the brand-new album between MC’s Passport Rav & Bloo Azul and they have with them the producers as follows:

– Good Food

– Custee

– Passport Rav

– Wavy Da Ghawd

– Sherman

– Retrospec

– The Standouts

– Showalter!

And man, I can’t even front. The production on this thing is fucking beautiful. As it has this real old-school vibe to it that I fell in love with immediately.

Each track has a melodic and atmospheric rhythm to it that’s impossible to ignore, each instrumental is glistening, powerful, and surreal in their own right.

Somehow each man contributing to this record came together under one vision as it feels as fluent as if one man made it. You can tell each producer put their best foot forward and gave us some of their best work to date!

Not gonna lie, when I saw the early concepts for the artwork I was expecting a more ‘boom bap’ flavoured album! A more heavy, in-your-face take on the music. But no! It surprised me by having some of the most elegant and nostalgic moments I’ve heard all year.

But here’s the thing, although there are influences and inspiration from the past they utilise those into the modern hip-hop landscape! It’s not just a copy and paste of the same music you heard in the 80s or 90s but a new, refreshed, and refined version based on the present. That’s what makes it spectacular!

To see so many men share the same vision and energy and synchronicity is absolutely incredible. Trust me it’s fucking RARE for that to happen. We have exactly 8 men on the beats, do you understand how hard that would be to manage 8 different mindsets for one album? Hard. BUT somehow they all came together and created pure hip-hop magic.

My two favourite cuts on the record had to be the opening two songs. The angelic vibes they gave off had me in a relaxed state I haven’t heard in a minute! True mastery of smooth vibes!

The big selling point of this album is the fact that two of the HARDEST SPITTERS in the underground. Nah scratch that, IN THE GAME PERIOD! Have come together under a common goal to create pure, unadulterated verbal chaos together and put the game on lock. When I first heard about this collaboration, I was blown away, but now that I’ve heard it? I can’t imagine the game without it!

These two lyrical monsters, trading verses back and forth, in brotherly competition trying to outdo each other, one up the other (just like a fighting game), and they are the two best of both worlds.

We are getting the underground equivalent of Jin Kazama VS Ryu. It’s on, and these two don’t stop until every single of the 14 instrumentals is left dormant from their incredible bars and sharp wordplay!

Listening to two legends on the same team is a dream come true for me. Both men bring their trademark charisma, personality, and passion to the record and execute them flawlessly! With deadly precision, incredible vocabularies between them, vivid scenes spelt out in the bars, complex structured verses, and more.

They don’t let up the whole album! The production might be predominantly smooth and atmospheric, but the MC side of things is killer and cutthroat!

Even though every record they’ve been on, they sound dope, but they just sound even more so here. They understand the stakes of representing both on the same album, the bar to set, and the quality needed to be achieved to make this album a showstopper, and with no features in sight, the MC work resting solely on their shoulders, they commit to making one of the most riveting and dynamic albums we’ve heard all year! And they make it look easy!

They didn’t have to flex this hard, BUT THEY DID! Two of the best to ever do it under some of the most ridiculous production you’ll hear! What are you waiting for? Click the link below, support the two, purchase, and enjoy!

(1212’s)

It’s an exciting day for the culture because we get to receive a new EP and, more importantly, original music by a man who has been driving in both lanes of NARCOMIXES and original music, and this time around we get that fresh, new shit, and with that in mind, we GOTTA GET INTO THIS!

This is the latest EP by MC Gustavo Louis and producer Happy Art, and together they drop a solid five tracks running just under 20 minutes, with the one guest appearance ofEarn Dinero, and across these five, we get Gustavo back on his more street poetry-heavy themed music that is just as mesmerising as it ever has been!

The thing to understand about Gustavo (for those who haven’t already heard his music) is that he’s a charismatic performer on his worst day. At his best, he’s a personality so strong that you can’t help but rock with it. He never just raps his bars; he brings them to life!

Whether we are talking about his sporadic adlibs reminiscent of WSG or his NECROMIXES where he challenges himself to the standards of the GOATS or if he’s just rapping with that incredible passion of his, he’s always trying to do the most, and it’s an entertaining result when he does!

As I mentioned above, it seems we are back on the street/drug talk as was made clear in the opening track ‘To Kill A Sparrow’ and only further confirms my point as the tracks go on, a topic he hasn’t been shy about discussing in the past, and I doubt this will be his last, but when does he always do so with immense enthusiasm and vivid imagery as he describes his situations, the equipment, the math behind the amounts, everything, and anything?

Combine that with his natural skills as an MC with his freelance flow, and you have a recipe for an artist that is equal parts engaging and deadly!

Of course, his chemistry with Earn is well documented as they’ve been on plenty of tracks before, but this time around, it felt like they were trying to get the very best out of one another, and it showed!

Dope verses by both men with the highest quality and most vibrant performances! A fantastic track.

As far as the production goes, each track feels like a street soup opera. If The Sopranos was a hip

Hop musical, then this is how it would sound! (Well, probably Christopher’s version), but still, it’s got that same feel of cinematic power as well as the muddy realism that comes with the topics spoken in the record!

Like how the guitar loops on track one make the song feel like a Tony Soprano montage scene of him going to different establishments and reminding everyone who is boss and why!

Or how on track 2 the plucked bass chords remind me of Sal, the loyal right-hand man going around putting out fires for Tony and maintaining the stability and FEAR of the Soprano Family. It’s got that chilling yet funky atmosphere to it that I fucking loved!

The track Feliz definitely reminds me of Uncle Jr’s soundtrack. Those classical jazz notes on loop accompanied by the glistening keys? You can’t tell me that’s not Junior sitting in his house on permanent house arrest just losing his mind, getting his hand stuck in the sink again while this is playing on his old-school radio! It has him written all over!

The point is, this is a more theatrical release than most for Gustavo. It’s as if hired Happy to compose a gangster play that runs for only 19 minutes, but the amount of depth and detail crammed in is more than enough to satisfy the customers in attendance!

If you had to check any Gustavo project out yet, it should be this one! It’s sharp, grand, and fun all around! Link below!

(2Piece)

As appropriately named as any EP will be! This new project is by a duo that has been making their rounds, doing their due diligence, and putting the work in to be recognised as one of the more creative duos in the game, and it’s because of drops like this that make them so popular among experimental heads like me! So with that in mind, let’s get into it!

This latest 2-track offering is by producers D-DON and Eric Frm Salem (D producing track one and Eric doing track 2), and both tracks feature the MC D-Fex and rocking with a dope as fuck album cover art that reminds me of old-school 80’s punk bands like Black Flag! Anyway, let’s talk about these songs.

The first one – The 6th Step has this concept of smooth meets atmospheric pressure. It’s a best of both worlds situation going on here because on the one hand, you have those luscious chords and plucked strings that sound absolutely angelic alongside those shimmering drum patterns!

But there’s also this overwhelming synth chord progression that runs uninterrupted throughout the song that gives a more ‘experimental’ feel to the mix.

It kind of reminds me of a beat Odd Future would have made in their prime, mellow yet brash at the same time!

Speaking of, we have the verses. D-Don runs his shit with his in-your-face bars that are equal parts powerful and gritty! He’s always found a way to make his wordplay engaging and entertaining to the point you’re hooked onto what he’s going to do and say next!

Certainly, there are similarities between that and the verse of D-FEX who rocks a less traditional, more abrupt take on a rap verse with his intense energy, borderline introspective pen game, and a voice that bleeds conviction onto the beat. Truly a fantastic chemistry for the both of them!

The exact same thing can be said for track 2 – PalmTreeDebris as we get the same chemistry doubled down! The amazing rough and rugged lyricism combined with natural charisma and a less than traditional take on the flow! Going and spitting whichever way and motion they want, they come verbally swinging with clever one-liners, dope bars and verses as well as an altogether interesting pen game that makes for a memorable and mesmerising listen!

I feel the beat this time around is a lot more on the ambient side! You’ve got those light guitar strings in two different tones! As well as some methodically paced drums and a specific type of atmosphere that runs in the background of the track that I can’t exactly put my finger on, but it gives this song a real spacey vibe to it that I loved!

All in all, what can you complain about in a two-piece? It was fresh, original and uniquely crafted! With dope production and feature verses! What more could you want? Peep it below!

(WHAT WOULD HARLEY RACE DO)

Jesus Christ. I don’t think I’ve heard a better intro than this! (Actually) I feel with every new album I hear from this man, I fall in love with his intros. If there is an award for ‘Best Intros’, he takes the cake 10x drops in a row. Holy shit.

After an incredible 2025 run, we finally get to hear what this man has to say in the new year, and I can tell you now, it’s absolutely ridiculous! Let’s talk about it!

This is the brand-new album by MC ActionFigure 973 and production from Artificer, and these two drop a solid 12 tracks with the -BrotherTomSoS as the sole feature!

As I literally just said above, this album starts off swinging! That haunting Harley Race promo with that eerie music behind it? That’s absolutely genius. Couldn’t ask for a better way to start the project off and capture the spirit and essence of one of the greatest wrestlers of all time!

From there, we get the production, which, as I’ve come to expect by any Action drop, has a darker, more serious tone to it that’s masked with intense instrumentation and crisp atmospheric energy that comes hand in hand to create a subgenre of boom-bap influence that you don’t hear every day!

If we look at the second track in -HARLEY AND NASH DRIVING THRU THE HOOD, we hear the combination of those Mexican stand-off vibe guitar strings and methodically paced drums that work in unison to create this tense yet infectious sonic environment that is impossible to ignore! There’s also some wavy chord progression in the background that provides an extra layer of depth to the track!

Or we can talk about the song -WHAT WOULD HARLEY RACE DO, the title track of the album, which provides one of the more lighthearted songs on the record with those soft jazz-inspired piano keys that make you feel like you’ve just walked into one of the most chill cafes of your life. I also love the secondary layer of keys that thud towards the end of the freelance loop, proving that tiny bit of depth to the otherwise angelic piano loop!

I love how skeletal yet infectious this track is. It’s one of the most stripped-back tracks, but it’s also one of my favourites due to its stripped nature!

Of course, who can ignore the song -WWF ICE CREAM BARS, as this is the song with the huge feature on it! Again, we return with those freelance jazz piano keys, and I love the subtle hint of vocal harmony laced across this track, almost like an angel’s breath whispered onto instrumental! This kind of reminds me of a ‘Studio Ghibli’ song in its sonic construction and narrative!

Of course, BrotherTom kills his verse!

When we discuss the verses, he comes in fast and furious like a Harley Race High Knee, knocking down the beats and putting them in a verbal shoulder breaker!

Whether it’s on this album or others, he’s always laying down that immersive and vivid wordplay and pen game that makes you feel like you’ve just been hit with a gut-wrenching suplex!

His clever one-liners, puns, and phrases are so swift and witty that you won’t catch them till the last minute like a headbutt drop from the top rope!

Laying down structured verses like a solid Texas piledriver, he’s leaving his contemporaries and the audience STUNNED with his abilities on the mic. Sometimes he’ll be right up in your face like a cradle suplex, other times he’ll be more obscure and technically sound like a side belly to belly suplex! Either way, once he hits, doesn’t matter if you’re Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Terry, or Dory Funk, you’re staging down for the 3 count!

Of course, even Harley had friends and brothers to rely on. In this occasion, BrotherTom is Action’s Larry ‘The Axe’ Henning. Both men teaming up to cause further devastation on the culture around them and prove their position on top of the hip-hop world!

Action Figure has been passionate about this life since he was 15 years old and will continue to be in it until he says he’s done.

(Death Won’t Stop Us)

Well, this was a combination I didn’t expect to see! Two men who have captivated the underground in different lanes. Both men I’ve reviewed and have mad respect for! So to see them come together for a project has me more hyped than you can imagine! With that in mind, let’s fucking go!

This is the brand-new EP between MC Hank Dope & Producer Kut One, and together they drop a solid five tracks (alongside five instrumental variations of the songs), and it features the likes of

– Reek Osama

– Yasin

– Planet Asia

– Outti

For such a short project, this has some powerhouse names accompanying it! Turns out the best of the best want to have their names associated with this explosive collaboration, and I don’t blame them!

Across these five tracks, we hear Kut incorporate his trademark raw, gritty, and cinematic soundscape to create an intense but powerful score that makes you feel like you’re walking through one of the roughest streets at midnight!

Each track has a combination of heavy-handed strings, hypnotic bass notes, sadistic drum patterns, as well as a dark ambient atmosphere that makes each track feel eerie and haunting in execution!

I love the fact that each song under the three-minute mark but packs so much heat! A combination of minimally layered instrumentals where each instrument is emphasised to its most crisp and smooth destination.

Kut is one of those producers that knows how to master each and every sound on a track. He knows how to mix each aspect until it sounds grand and theatrical! This sounds more like a movie score for Tarantino than it does your average hip-hop album! The way he’s able to create a fluent feel between each of the five songs and make them work alongside each other is beautiful to see! An absolutely brilliant performance by one of the dopest in the industry!

Hank. One of the earliest reviews names I’ve done, he’s always been on his grimy shit. A man who knows no filter or concept of losing. Each album or EP has had ‘banger’ written all over it, and this time he hit another home run!

Although only five tracks to go off on, he doesn’t waste a second!

We get his notorious vivid street raps in spades, sounding like he’s rapping said bars on the street corner himself! It sounds so authentic and dirty that I wonder if he’s rapping or just describing what he’s seeing in the world around him!

Always one to spit verbal assaults across the tracks, clever bars, sharp wordplay, devastating descriptions, and a brand of street poetry that is unlike any other. People like him and Reek Osama have a way with words that makes you want to stay away from the streets, while most find ways to glorify it; these two men point out clear as day the DANGER behind that lifestyle, no sugar coating!

Speaking of Reek, he’s here in spades. I always love hearing him and Hank collaborate; their fusion is unmistakable, and their verses work hand in hand with each other. I love that he’s on two of the tracks!

Not to mention a song alongside the legend Planet Asia! If that ain’t bragging rights for both Hank and Reek, I don’t know what is!

Yasin also spit his shit on the second track, as all guests sound on top form across this short but intense EP!

You’d be a fool not to give this one a shot! It’s every bit as grimy as I expected it to be, and I can definitely see this being on my repeat list for months to come! Link below!

(Behind The Smile)

I live by a pretty simple rule: if Tone drops a record, I support it! This man has been with me through most of my reinventions and failures before getting to this point. He’s seen me do my Facebook reviews to now, and that kind of support you can’t buy, so he’s always someone I’ll prioritise! Not to mention I legitimately feel he’s one of the best producers out right now, so I never have to worry about his work; anyone he works with ends up sounding like gold, and this time is no exception! So let’s get into it!

This is the brand-new album by MC Benny Slumz and legendary producer Tone Spliff. Together, they drop a solid 10-track album that is sure to impress the audience and put the culture on hold!

Firstly, I want to say, I love what they did with the intro: with that news report-style introduction that evolves into Benny rapping, it makes for a cinematic interlude and sets high standards for him to go off on!

As we hear him rap, we hear a man who wears his heart on his sleeve and utilises his passion and love for the game to craft some of the most lively and engaging verses you’ll hear. To the uncultured, it may seem like he’s just rapping the usual underground monotone bars you hear from everyone else, but he’s different. Why?

Because if you really listen to the words he’s spitting, you can hear him putting his thoughts, personal feelings, and adversities on the paper for all to see and hear. It’s not every day a rapper bares his soul into the music— every insecurity, conflict, and consequence as well as the triumphs, successes, and blessings that have come since continuing this rap shit. He’s showcasing the good and the bad, and it’s in that vulnerability that makes him such a strong MC and artist to pay attention to!

That’s not even including talking about his sharp lyricism, his powerful presence and no-nonsense flow as well as his raw charisma that makes him sound like a ghetto preacher who is fluent in street poetry. It’s relentless, eye-opening and ever so refreshing to hear a style of his that has perfected the core basics of this rap shit and is now using it to his advantage. Absolutely killed performance!

When we get into the production side of things! We hear tone in his usual bag of excellence. I’m talking about that bombastic, heavy, raw, 90’s-inspired hip hop sound with a clean finish and slick instrumentation!

He’s the master at being able to properly fuse the combination of modern-day underground and classic old school to create a goth-fresh and nostalgic sound that everyone can dig!

As usual, it’s well-structured, cohesive and excellently executed instrumentals that feel heavy yet crisp and deliver a hard punch! Such is the lead single for the record ‘P.W.B’ with those glistening chords, those thudding bass sounds and the introduction of those hypnotic drums that turn this minimal layered track into a banger that will stay in your mind for months!

I also love the light usage of the vocal snippets that entice the track!

Each track feels like a love letter to the golden era as he is a student of that time and he’s taking what he’s learnt and incorporating it into the present day with all the new knowledge and techniques he’s developed over the years. The perfect sponge for the culture and one who is never afraid to evolve but also never forgetting to stick to his roots (walking that fine line).

Each track is memorable, infectious and clean. Just like with his last offering ‘A Pleasant Surprise’, how he focused on quality first then the music itself. He’s always working on the most important things to give each drop the maximum replay value and I feel this one might be his strongest yet!

So tune in, go buy the album and support the duo that is making quality music for the underground! Trust me you won’t regret it!

(The Culture Corner Presents: All The Pieces Matter)

This album has a special place for me. It was May in 2024. I got the invite to be admin of the Facebook group ‘The Culture Corner’. It wasn’t something I was expecting to happen. I just decided one day to post random VS battles between various albums, artists, groups, etc., and apparently, the establishment liked what I was doing and offered me the role.

Since then, I’ve tried to keep things interesting with tournaments, discussions, and VS when I think it would be an interesting topic. And to see now they have a full-length of all the artists who fuck with the group combined. It’s an experience I know is going to land big! So without further delay, let’s talk about it!

This is the HUGE collaboration album that includes MC’s such as

-Sha-Elemental

-Ren Thomas

-Honey Dinero

-Crotona P

-The Bad Seed

-Mike Martinez

-Barbaric & Alvarez

-Micky Bourbon

-Ocho Phono

-Paranoah

-Dirt Rustle

-Jus P

-Blind Vizionary

-Moose Harris

-Speak The Rebel

-Mr Ripley

-Poe Mack

-Len-Dor

(That is an inane list of names, but wait there’s more!)

Production from

-Ghost Of The Machine

-Mike Martinez

-Tone Spliff

-8bza

-Brutal Casaer

-The Mainstream Assassin

-BoFaatBeatz

-Hanzo Bladez

-Promotheus

With such a cast of names and figures, they really went all out for this one, and it fucking shows! From the moment this album kicks off, it’s straight, underground brilliance with no signs of slowing down!

You gotta understand this massive album is almost an hour long. Under most circumstances (at least in the modern day), I’d be sceptical about holding the attention of the listener for such a long time, but this album has a purpose and a reason for its length, and it’s to showcase all the cats who support and fuck with the Culture Corner and highlight its massive influence and brother/sisterhood in the form of hip hop!

Each beat feels boom bap and gritty. Just because this is a celebration of Hip Hop

Family doesn’t mean it has to be ‘family friendly’. This is a cutthroat, raw, and powerful sonic statement that best suits all the dope spitters we have on here!

Each instrumental has a combination of present-day influence meets old-school homage,  and that fusion is enough to have you mean mugging for the whole 57 minutes!

Just pure unadulterated production that will have you bopping your head endlessly 14 tracks straight!

It’s impossible not to find a style, track you love! There’s literally a beat and influence for everyone to enjoy! (For me personally, I was more prone to the jazz-heavy joints) like

-Bars Up

-So Much Drama etc., but again, you’re bound to at least find a handful of tracks to pop with if you don’t love them all!

These producers are men that I have strong business connections and, most importantly, friendships with, so it makes it extra sick for me to see these talented individuals rocking the production and killing it! Specifically, Tone and Mike Martinez, they are my brothers in this shit, and I’ll support them in anything! The others, although I’m not as close with them yet, have that quality in spades!

When discussing the MC side of things, just like the production. You’ll gravitate towards the specific characters you like best! Think of this as a massive fighting game with a huge character select screen to choose from! I personally fuck with most, if not all, the cats here, but even I have my favourites!

The 6th Man Crew! Honey Dinero, she’s been my MVP in the game a year running now! Of course, Bad Seed

Crotona P is always ontop of his shit, Sha-Elemental kicks it off when he has to, Poe Mack is incredibly talented as well! These are just my personal favourites but the fact is everyone on this list are top grade spitters who have decided to come together to rock the house down!

Not a weak bar in sight, they understand that this is literally a celebration of CULTURE and this can be used in the future to showcase some of the best talent the underground has to offer and honestly if this variety bag doesn’t do it for you, you ain’t for the culture. It’s as simple as that!

It’s hard for me to choose a favourite song, each track is a healthy, dope representation of the best qualities of rap today! But of course as I mentioned above the songs that feature my favourite artists resonate with me most! The song -Bars Up not only has a Jazz influence but has Honey Dinero, Seed and Crotona P AND Tone on the cuts and beats! I mean damn, that’s like my perfect track cooked up all in once!

But of course I was banging to the other 13 tracks hard as fuck too! It’s all about representation. You can have your favourites but when you see these men and woman giving their best work to the cause like this? It’s impossible not to be impressed and feel lucky you get to be alive during such a prominent time in Hip Hop!

If it ain’t obvious by what I’ve said, this shit is DOPE AS FUCK. Dope beats, dope rappers and overall a dope concept to put together. I’m proud to be a member of the culture corner and shoutout to everyone who contributed to the album go listen below!

(Never Falling Off/Grimey Disease)

I wanted to do a special review today. A double single drop to celebrate and highlight a man who has reached out for a review, and after discovering and listening to what he has to offer, I must say, I’m impressed.

So I thought to myself, why only talk about the one on here when I could easily do a double feature! So that’s exactly what I’ll do, and so without further delay, let’s talk about them!

These are two singles by MC Faceless Sage (dope name) and Producers ARVM Beats, and you’ve got the singles:

-Never Falling Off (2 minutes and 23 seconds)

-Grimey Disease (3 minutes and 10)

Let’s discuss the first one, ‘Never Falling Off’, released on January 30. This one has a classical meets ambient sound to me. You’ve got that atmospheric introduction with those light piano keys and that incredibly dense chord progression that runs non-disrupted throughout the entire track (even continues to the main bulk of the track).

As the song advances, we have this subtle string that reminds me of spaghetti country western scores! That you’d hear in cowboy John Wayne/Clint Eastwood vibes that’s placed ever so softly in the back of the song!

As well as this, you have some rhythmic drum patterns that kick in about 20 seconds in and help elevate the energy of the entire song!

Although this song feels minimal in execution, it’s got so much cinematic value that it’s hard to brush it off as just another ‘skeletal instrumental’.

On this track, we hear Faceless utilise his smooth yet powerful vocals to further enhance this track!!I love his introspective lyricism combined with his natural charisma, crisp verbal tones, and vocabulary that makes each word he spits feel like an interesting piece of art that you can’t help

but want to hear more of!

A truly memorable performance and a great introduction to the man himself and what he brings to the table!

On the other song -Grimey Disease (which also has a clean version on Spotify) released on February 15th, 2025

We have a more detailed and deeper feel across this beat. A darker, boom-bap production that forces you to mean-mug the world around you for exactly three minutes and ten seconds!

You’ve got those beautifully mesmerising plucked strings combined with these deep bass chords as well as this synth chord that feels distorted in motion, that kind of reminds me of a chord Daringer or Conductor Williams would utilise! Absolutely brutal but grimy as hell!

There’s also a hint of drums that is equal parts hypnotic and bare in the pattern as it acts more as a skeleton to keep the whole track together! Sometimes you just need a small layer of tension to wrap up a song, and the drums acted as the final piece to the puzzle for this!

Contrary to the last track, we hear Sage dive deep into his more sinister notions of vocal performance and delivery. It sounds like he has a chip on his shoulder, and he wants to wear it on his sleeve the whole song through!

He’s vicious with his wordplay, barely giving himself room to breathe just between bars, setting up complicated verbal structures, one-liners, clever puns, the works.

This time it feels like he’s trying to give a masterclass in how to be an MC but doing so angry and full of rage and conviction! I love he utilised more of a street poetry take on his bars compared to the first one! It gives his verse that extra edge that suits him perfectly! Not to mention lines that mention Jujutsu Kaisen and Domain expansions! That’s right up my alley, and I’ll end the paragraph with ‘Fuck Yuji/Yuta, the real OG MC!’

These are only TWO tracks, and he’s performing at this level? He’s impressed me more than the most, and you can guarantee this won’t be the last you hear from me on this man and this producer! Check the links below!

(From The Bottom, To The Top)

Today we are taking a trip back to October 2025. A lot of dope releases dropped that month, and little did I know this was one of them! Taking the opportunity to make things right and finally giving this record a chance, and I’ll say this much, had I heard it back then? It may have made it on my October Monthly list! Let’s talk about why!

This is the 2025 record by MC Agent Sin and various producers such as

-Prod Mason

-Em Asaint

-Just Dan

And features from

-WESTSIDE BOOGIE

-YFS

-Bruce Wayne Money

-warwillkill

-G-Tune

-Nick Curry

-XXAE47

-TopGirl Stunna

What an impressive variety of names on this project. Some I’ve heard of before, others I haven’t, and that just leads to the excitement of the record as a whole!

Across these 17 tracks, we get a bold 55 minutes that introduces the audience to an interesting combination of Underground X Mainstream instrumentals that bring you the best of both worlds!

You’ve got that high-level, grand, and well-tuned beats such as on the intro track -Pink Panther, which has this heavy G-Funk vibe with those groovy bass strings and plucked synth strings in the background!

But then you’ve got tracks like -One Above All, which is reminiscent of the classic Boom Bap vibe, as you’ve got those sharp synth electric guitar strings that are combined with those funky drum patterns and glistening keys that flutter in the background! A truly remarkable yet minimal experience that screams underground!

I feel this record and its various producers feel the need to bring a sonic palette of genres, influences, and styles to the forefront to showcase the quality of what these beat makers can do! They’re out here proving they can work with many different beats and make them all work! I love how even though each song is different, it doesn’t sound messy or unorganised!

Each track is synchronised with the ones next to it! This sounds like a ‘best of’ series of all your favourite instrumentals come under one roof, and it all fucking works. The type of songs you can just press play on, close your eyes, and let your imagination run wild!

That last line also best suits the abilities of Agent Sin. A man who lets his charisma run wild across this almost hour of content. He’s lyrically proficient, smooth, and sharp with flows and has an extraordinary cadence that makes his performances feel that next level of powerful and immersive!

He doesn’t even give himself time to breathe. In between a traditional rhythm and speed rap, he’s dead in the middle, not giving himself a break as he showcases his verbal assault across the beats in absolute dope fashion!

For the most part, he’s giving us high-quality, brash, raw, brag bars! He wants to remind everyone that he’s a threat in the culture and he can’t be slept on! He’s utilising these banging beats to full advantage for his in-your-face verses to go off on!

Not one to lack confidence, he’s always high energy, always ready to stunt on the competition, and sounds ever so excited for the audience to hear his intense puns, one-liners, and overall impressive vocabulary infused with gritty street poetry!

The features lend their hand in helping elevate the music with their own original takes on rapping with their own natural charisma and skills! Although a lot, he chose them correctly!

(BAEJING BALLAD)

The day has finally come. Easily one of the most anticipated albums of the year by an artist who has been building herself up the last few years as a powerhouse player, one with infinite potential, and now as she collaborates with this legendary producer, her talent has been realised in full force, and let me tell you now,

THE CULTURE AIN’T READY!

This is the brand-new drop by MC Chyna, BAEJING, and producer BONEWESO, and alongside these 11 tracks, we have features from

-???

-CODENINE

-SMELLO

-WRITEOUS

-ESTEE NACK

Now, the one thing I want to mention is when it comes to Chyna and her performances, she’s one to bring ‘ATTITUDE’ to the record. I feel like she’s the second coming of that legendary late 2010s early 2020 era of 23 with projects such as

-TRIPLE BLACK DIAMONDS I&II

-IMMORTAL KOMBAT

-HAMMERABI

-AKIRAONACID

That iconic brash, against-the-grain in-your-face style that Estee and Al cultivated, I feel the same rebellious and confident vibe from that era IN THIS ALBUM HERE!

Chyna ain’t just rapping for rapping’s sake. She’s here to pave a whole new path for the culture. There’s plenty of talented Female MC’s out there today, but ain’t NONE rapping like she is on this record.

She’s taking it upon herself to become the new originator of a newly established genre of hip hop that I guarantee will take off among your favourite rappers in years to come. This is some generational behaviour, and to hear her and her confidence come out at this level gives me goosebumps!

Across these 11 tracks, we hear verbal dominance. From that splash-style flow where she’s like a machine gun, dropping lyrical bullets anywhere and everywhere she aims! She’s got that slick, witty pen game where she combines her ruthless street talk with her clever and vivid bars that showcase her talent as an MC and a wordsmith! She’s outstunting her competition and making it look effortless!

Do you understand how hard it would be to rap alongside the legends she has on this album? We ain’t talking average Joe’s, we are talking men that have been credited as some of the underground’s GREATEST RAPPERS, and she’s out here not only holding her own but maintaining her presence and influence alongside them! She’s established herself as their peers, and it’s only a matter of time before people see her as legend status!

No matter how many times I listen back to this, I can’t get enough. From her sharp words, her mesmerising/electric energy, to her confrontational delivery, she’s got everything to make an album that you’ll be coming back to time and time again from Australia to China!

There’s one consistent thing that I’ve noticed whenever we talk about BONEWESO. To me, that’s ’cinema’. He never makes music, but he creates experiences and scores. I’ve sung his praises time and time again, and I’ll keep doing it till I die because he deserves it.

This man hasn’t made an average beat in his life; it’s always laced with a theatrical flair and executed masterfully that he sounds less like a beat maker and more a million-dollar composer!

On this record, we hear BONE provide us with an interesting mix of sounds and influences that help maintain the strong energy this record provides. Of course, you have that single track -HELLOKITTY, which I already reviewed, but that track that has that heavy Rock/Metal feel to it with those shredded guitars and rhythmic drums!

There’s tracks like -23&ME, which bring a more atmospheric and Ambient feel to the record with those ringing chord progressions that feel like an ASMR bell going off in a loop! Accompanied by these glitching keys and minimal bass and drums that help bring this whole track together! (Not to mention the door verse by CODENINE)

Even the intro track -VALYRIANSTEEL, which has a combination of Gospel and Boom Bap feel to it! You’ve got those recognised organ keys in that beautiful loop accompanied by those synth-style strings that have a level of tremble to them!

I also love the various end of the track snippets. If you’ve been listening to BONE you’ll know that ain’t nothing new but they feel more adrenaline fuelled and less narrative! (Such as the end of track 2)

All this is to say that once again (and as I’ve been saying since the start of this year) that BONE is one of the most genuine and versatile producers we have in this game. He can make everything from Christmas music to Boom Bap to Metal Music and everything in between. A true master of his craft and one who once again outdid himself across this tape!

If you haven’t heard this one then I advice you GO BUY THE ALBUM NOW ON BANDCAMP! It’s only $23 and it’s the best $23 you’ll spend all year! Check it out below!
