(MYCOUPE)

One of my favourite monster trios is back! Having a steady (not too slow, not too fast) year in 2025, releasing a handful of bangers along the way, letting his work breathe more than most, and giving the audience enough time to soak in the offerings provided, now is the time again for a brand new EP that is sure to satisfy all the like-minded fans like myself waiting for his next drop!

This is the brand new EP by MC Wst. Taylor and produced by Kiddchichi (epic name), and together they drop five tracks all ranging in that two-minute mark (besides track two). To the question at hand, how does it sound?

Amazing.

As I’ve coped to love and respect about this man’s sound, the production across this tape is smooth, soulful, and jazz-filled across the field. We have all aspects more harmonious than the last, from angelic vocal loops to those jazz-inspired light drums and plucked strings to give off a classic 80’s/90’s vibe where the instrumentation was grand and lively in execution, god the music was fantastic!

Although it’s only five tracks, it feels like ten in the way the music itself is taken care of and demonstrated! If I had to describe how this sounds, it would be a combination of Anderson Paak meets Mac Miller with Dr. Dre-level quality production all tied up.

To be honest, I found it hard to pay attention to the music itself as it took me away! I was grooving to the music and letting my mind wonder in the overwhelming smoothness only to remember I actually have to write about this! That’s the effect it has!

If I didn’t know any better, I would have assumed there was a live band in the studio with these men performing that organic-sounding beats. I’m not kidding; every time I re-listened to this EP, I got more goosebumps every time.

This isn’t  merely an album; this is the definition of a SCORE! Absolutely beautiful effort by Kiddchichi

Now onto my main man, he’s been a shining star in the new culture of the underground, and I’ve been very vocal of my praise of him and putting him in the trio of only two other men who I feel are breaking through the new generation of the new culture, that being

-Jackpot and -DatKidBravo, and alongside these men, Wst continues to push the boundaries and showcase why he’s one of the strongest MC’s and purists in the game right now, and this EP does nothing but further pushes that!

Across these tracks, we hear him more smooth and vulnerable than I’ve ever heard him. On this one, he ain’t worried about sounding the toughest or hardest or having the most compelling and gritty street poetry but instead showing a more mellow and delicate side, with a lot of the bars sounding like whispers and narration to his own thoughts and feelings over these immaculate production feats.

This feels like a personal introspective look into the man’s soul! Which was deceiving based on the album art. I was expecting another hard-hitting boom-bap record with his performances, but I couldn’t be more wrong!

He’s showing his cunning, his intricate nature, and the need to connect between his heart and the audience, and I think while it was a bold move to go this direction (especially after building a fanbase eager for his ridiculous feats of MC work) to go in this more methodically paced lane, I feel for what he’s trying to accomplish, he hits the nail on the head!

For five tracks, this has more depth than your favourite rappers’ full-length LPs! It’s heartfelt, smooth, and fucking infectious, and I ask all of you to give it a chance!

(Goin’ Off The Cliff, Vol.1)

I can tell you right off the bat, very rarely does a project’s opening track pull me in as much as this one did! Call it intuition, call it a sixth sense of doing over 800 reviews this year, but I feel that I can tell an artist’s worth and quality before I even click play just by talking and communicating with the artist, and I knew without a shadow of a doubt that this record was going to be something I wouldn’t forget, and looks like I was once again, CORRECT. Let’s talk about why!

This is the brand-new record by producer Clifton Neal, and on this occasion, he brings with him a monstrous roster such as:

– Estee Nack

– Here$ Johnny

– Tha God Fahim

– JRed The Doctor

– El Camino

– Don Hundred

– Snotty

And let me tell you, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a stronger set than these men right here, and that’s because every man on this list is an underground kingpin of their own lanes, and to see them all on one record is INSANE!

I want to focus on production first before my god does this man absolutely fucking KILL IT! And I’m talking right from the first few seconds of the record with that magnificent intro that literally gave me goosebumps! It has that early, mid-2000s early Kanye West soul feel to it that shook my bones and ears alike!

With those gorgeous vocal samples that evolve into an A cappella choir-type vibe until the track unfolds, and then we get this beautiful rhythm that I honestly never wanted to end!

It felt like the sonic equivalent of a warm summer’s day with fresh green grass and an ocean peacefully waving on the seaside; it was the PERFECT OPENER!

And to somehow match that with a grand slam of a beat that has plucked strings, Phil Colin’s reminiscent drums, and these beautifully executed chords that all come together like a hit track you’d hear in the 80s!

And ON TOP OF THAT, YOU ADD FUCKING ESTEE NACK TO THE MIX? That’s overkill in the highest degree, and it’s an absolute banger of a track!

Every song on here feels like a perfectly scored instrumental that is cinema quality. All structured with finesse and a theatrical aura that every producer wants to achieve but very few hit the mark. This man is working on it! The only other producers I can think of right now that hit his level of grand, angelic notions would be Bone Weso and AbbotJackson! But otherwise, he’s on a whole new level!

Even if we look at the track ‘Fingers Crossed’ with those magnificently strung chords that feature that groovy vocal harmony loop and light jazz-inspired drums that are ever so subtly going off in the background!

And then to add the perfect contrast to this smooth beat to have a powerhouse icon of Here$ Johnny on the case is a ridiculously wonderful thing and a track that I can definitely see myself replaying over and over!

Everyone on this album and the beats sync perfectly, but one track I wanted to point out is the outro ‘Take Notes’ with that Jazz/Soul extravaganza. Two of my favourite sub-genres fused with rap, and this is a masterclass. You’ve got those fantastic strings over those low-key piano keys that are ever so gentle and caressing over the instrumental, and that ending vocal harmony it all comes together with a sprinkle of violin that takes the cherry on the cake.

Not to mention the fact that Umbrella soldier Snotty was on the case, and he absolutely KILLED the track with his undeniable aura and skill on the mic!

I think the MC’s speak for themselves. I wouldn’t be glossing over them if they weren’t in legendary status, and every single name on this record is! You’ve got the heaviest hitters in the game giving their absolute best to making this record special and divine, and they do that 10x fold! They were the definition of brilliant across this album, and every song was fire, every last verse, word, and breath in the mic!

I can’t even choose a favourite because they all went hard, from opener Estee to Closer, Snotty to the charisma of Here$, to the swagger of Fahim, there wasn’t an opportunity for a weak verse, even if Clifton tried!

From the features to the marvellous production, every song is hit, play in the club, top of the charts worthy. Add them all together on one album? And you’ve got fucking magic!

(Pockets)

You know one thing I love about this specific artist’s music is her diversity. I genuinely never know what to expect from one song or project to the next, and that is very rare these days. You review or listen to an artist enough, and you start to pick up on a formula or style or something to have you bracing for what’s to come next, but never her! It’s always a mystery, and that level of unpredictability will always be a positive factor in my eyes! Let’s get into it!

This is the brand-new single by MC Black Silq and Producer DOCENT, and together they drop this four-minute short story that dives into realms of pain, distrust, heartbreak, and sadness.

If we start with the production, we see a more mellow and relaxed type beat compared to what I’ve heard her use in a while! I’m talking about that kind of beat I would have heard on her previous full-length that had me discovering her to begin with! This has a similar vibe and tone to that record, and it’s a breath of fresh air to hear her back on her storytelling, emotional lane!

This beat has those light hypnotic drums, delicate keys, and an overall atmosphere sound that almost has an echo effect! Very surreal and thrilling in execution!

When we discuss the lyricism, we hear (as mentioned in the above verse) her back on her heartfelt, deep-in-depth perspective type shit, which sounds like a tragic love story gone wrong! Based on the song title and the chorus of this track, I can only assume she found incriminating or cheating material using her instincts that she always mistook for voices in her head and then ended with his suicide? A definite disturbing tale from start to finish!

This makes me feel like I’m listening to a female version of Slick Rick but a more darker interpretation of a story.

She definitely expresses herself as strongly as I’ve ever heard her. She’s aggressively tragic, with powerful emotions as if she’s recording right after going through this shit in real life! Similar to how that woman on that Kendrick song sounds! Where that argument is played out on the song.

And also, if you put this into real-life context (if what I think happened happens on the song), she finds her partner cheating only for him to end it after she’s so used to him playing that card to escape judgement? Can’t imagine what someone on the other end would feel like going through that, and this song projects that exact real-life level of stress and dread to the audience in cruel detail!

This is truly a story-based track on a different level! In four minutes, she’s able to do what most rappers can only aspire to be. Definitely a track worth checking out and hearing the magic!

(DrkSounds/DrkSoulsLP)

Well, this is definitely a first for me. My first time reviewing an LP that is an extension of an EP I already covered previously! But there’s a first time for everything, so let’s get into it!

This is the brand-new record by MC God Gotti and Producer Produced By P, and together they drop an extended 10 tracks from 4, delivering a more complete structure compared to the previous one! And I’m going to try my best not to repeat myself across this one as those 4 tracks do appear on here as well!

So starting with the production, I feel this is his most skeletal, obscure, and bare sounds to date that he’s worked with. Each track has its own methodically paced instrumentals that are packed with raw emotions, heavy ambiance, and a direct approach on melodies and harmonies!

I’d say the most obvious example of this would be in ‘Big Worm’, that is slow-paced and atmospheric, but there are other cuts such as ‘Close Call’ that also fit that same description.

As far as the newer tracks that stood out to me, we have ‘Method Acting’, that intrigues me because it sounds like it was recorded in the rain! It has that heavy rain ASMR background vibe to it, as well as heavy bass lines and hypnotic drum patterns that take centre stage!

Another track that has an almost ‘dark synth’ quality to it with those vibrating chords in the background over some more engaging drums! I feel unlike the last EP version, the emphasis here is on those gigantic, grand, eerie sounds that’s meant to give the listener goosebumps and feel a certain way, and that’s what I feel is happening across this album with P surprising me once again!

Now to talk about God Gotti, named after the hit mafia man himself. On this project, he presents himself in probably the most ominous I’ve heard him to date, with engaging sound effects, his vocal harmonies having echo sounds and looming background effects, all for a more ‘larger than life’ feel on his part!

Of course, he generates his usual brand of dominating yet smooth hip-hop delivery with his massive energy, his underlying charisma, and infectious rhyme, combined with his old-school and tested bar work that’s as vivid as it is compelling and consistent across these tracks!

We hear him go off across the 19 minutes with puns, phrases, beautifully delivered one-liners, and epic verses to match. His pen game remains undefeated, and he somehow brings even MORE personality and character to his rhymes than he ever has before amidst this darker and more serious-sounding production!

I also have to comment on the fact that he comes on this LP featureless! He’s rocking these 10 tracks solo and proving why he’s one of the up-and-coming kings of the new wave, showcasing his ability to not only out-rap most of the competition but doing it SOLO!

The EP was good, but the LP was better! If you don’t believe me, check it out for yourself now!

(THE_WiMSiCAL_ONES)

Well, talk about something I wasn’t expecting to hear this year or any! A meeting of the minds between two of the most proficient and prolific producers in the game right now, doing what they do best in enhancing the culture and breathing new life into the game, and that’s exactly what’s happened on here! Let’s talk about it!

This is a brand new and very exciting release by the two producers, Jazzylionman and YFI! Making this a beat tape of epic proportions and one that was bound to provide a level of eccentric content that you won’t get anywhere else with these two minds involved!

10 tracks and 14 minutes of content, and of

course, as this is a beat tape, no vocals to speak of, but I knew the moment I pressed play that this wouldn’t be an issue to worry about because based on the previous experience with these two separately, I knew what kind of heat they were capable of bringing to the table, and even so, this record surpassed all my expectations and then some!

This album plays and breathes like a prophecy coming true. The grand and cinematic nature in which these sounds come together is truly a testament to both men and their abilities.

You’ve got angelic instrumentals such as tracks like ‘HEMBRAANDMACHO’ which consists of the minimal layers of some acoustic guitar, light what sounds like bongo taps, and some incredible vocal melody that runs through the whole track! The type of track I could listen to for hours and never get sick of it!

Or we have tracks such as ‘NIRVANA’ which, with a similar formula, has this incredibly lush and harmonic atmosphere with those delicate keys, light bass, and another solid vocal loop that just takes away the stress of the day away! Each track is kept rather short, which helps maintain that attention span, which is a smart move by these two!

Another track I found really interesting was ‘UNEXPECTEDTHOUGHTS’. This track had a hint of experimental qualities to it. With that bizarre vocal loop that sounds cursed and haunted (I’m pretty sure it’s been played backwards), which is creepy by itself. On top of that, you have those glitchy chords at the start of the song and then just some methodically paced drums and more subtle uses of those glitchy chords throughout!

This song stands out for its unique nature that feels different from the rest!

Although there are only ten songs on here, each song is bursting with personality and emotion because of the calibre of both men. There’s never a boring or stale second within the songs, and they are presenting a score unlike anything you’ll hear anywhere else!

For its creativity and originality alone, this is definitely one for the record books! Make sure you witness the amazing chemistry between two of the hottest (pause) producers in the game right now!

(The Luger Manifesto)

I can still remember the first record I reviewed for this man all those months ago. The impact it had and the impression it left on me. Now we are back with a record that excited me before I even pressed play, so does it live up to the hype? Let’s talk about it!

This is the brand-new record by MC YoungReese Dude and produced by So=Cal and these two drop 12 tracks with the likes of

-Demarco

-Roberts

-Marv One

And with this trio, they help create a record that is equal parts beautiful and intimate in its conception and detail. The first thing I feel I have to talk about is the production aspect. Because similar to the first one, this is absolutely stunning and harmonic in the best ways.

The instrumentals here kind of remind me of ‘A Tribe Called Quest’ in execution. It’s light, melodic, and beautifully crafted while also maintaining that authentic hip-hop feel and sound, and it’s in that perfect blend that this production exists.

When I was sitting down listening to this record, trying to absorb all the lush bass strings, all those jazz-inspired piano keys, and subtle drum lines, it makes it clear that he’s not trying to merely make a ‘record’ but a score for the audience to soak in!

If I had to choose a favourite track on the record, I’d have to say ‘Jansport’. I just love how organic and atmospheric it is. With those free-forming keys and those intricate synths going off in the background.

It’s got all the elements that I love in a track and further emphasises the overall feel of the record itself!

The production on this album is beyond gratifying. So=Cal taking advantage of all those smooth and angelic moments to the highest degree, and I loved everything about it!

Speaking of smooth, we have the man himself, Reese. As usual, this dude is a savage! He has this unique ability where he seems to match the energy of any record he’s on and shine through the music to create even more grand and exciting verses!

As the production is smooth in nature, so are his bars that glide through like glass in the wind. He’s so contextually powerful and vivid with his wordplay that you can feel in your bones every single phrase or bar that he’s represented and using his uncanny aura and charisma to paint a verbal picture that won’t soon be forgotten!

Throughout this record, he’s showcasing his A-tier pen game, his devastatingly effective flow, lyricism, and approach to the mic. What’s dope is that he never stays in one style for long. If the song needs fast-paced and high energy, he’s got you. For the tracks that need slow and methodical, HE’S GOT YOU!

For tracks that need a bit more flair and artistry to the mix, he’s got you for that as well! There’s not a single lane he can’t do himself, and he excels at all of them!

Whether he’s rapping solo or with features, his morale, convictions, and passion remain the same. He doesn’t change himself for anybody, and that’s what makes him such an outstanding and talented threat in the hip-hop game!

Overall, this is a fantastic sequel to his other record. It’s got wrestling vibes (which I fucked with heavily), it’s got those smooth ambient/jazz vibes which I adore, and the rapping was the definition of exceptional!

(Ravencroft)

I don’t even know how to describe these two men’s progress this year anymore. At first listen to both, I was impressed and waiting to see more. As both men continued in their respective roles in the game, they both continued to rise and evolve, and just when I thought I had heard their creative peaks, they come out with this! I have no words to say, but I’m going to do my best to write down how I feel about this because this record is the definitive answer for NEXT LEVEL.

This right here is the brand-new album between MC Words and Producer Hi-Q, and together they dropped a fresh 17 tracks with the likes of:

– J. Roberts

-Shark The SOB

-Jake Haw

-B1 The Architect

-Joey B Toonz

-Halfcut

-Sayzee

-White Lie

-I.N.F

-Matt Maddox

A terrific cast of MC’s that suit what ended up being an absolutely terrifying and tragic experience full of fear, violence, and enough haunting sounds and lyrics to keep you up at night for the next few days!

I think this time around I’m going to start with Words. He has impressed me in the past with me buying his last few records on Bandcamp (this one soon to be added), and as good as they were, this is a whole different beast entirely! We see Words showcase his more savage and killer instincts with him talking about (in graphic detail) topics of:

-Murder

-Violence

-Trauma

-Mental Illness and more.

This feels like if Dexter went crazy, snapped, and decided to make a hip-hop record! Every single song is explicit and feels like you’re listening to the diary of a madman as he writes down all his thoughts, impulses, and sickening compulsive tendencies that he’d like to put into action!

Although a lot of the lyrics are over the top in an obvious way, there are moments where I wonder what is fiction or reality with his life experiences. Actions he may or may not have committed in his life until now to help embellish the contents of this record!

Aside from the actual content, he hasn’t sounded more heavy, more destructive, and sharp with his bloody pen games.

His flow is raw, in your face, and distinctive, and his chilling, cold-blooded charisma is flooding across each of the songs! He’s relentless and unapologetic to the maximum degree; he doesn’t care who he offends or pisses off with this record; he’s just getting himself heard!

We also have the aforementioned crew of MC’s that are just as (if not more) twisted as he is and are able to contend with and stand toe-to-toe with words in this hellish atmosphere that he’s created on this record!

Every feature has a purpose for being there, and each one helps elevate the selected tracks to new heights!

When we talk about the hellish nature of the record, we also have to talk about Hi-Q and his production. To say I was shocked with his work on here would be an understatement! I think I said in the last review I did of his, saying that I was scared to imagine what he’s going to sound like the next time we see him, and now we know! And turns out I had every right to be shit scared because he goes absolutely KILLER on the beats!

Combing aspects of film/TV footage, looped vocal samples, and minimal boom-bap-flavoured beats, we hear Hi-Q bring his own batch of devastatingly chilling production that brings out the isolation, confusion, and true sense of fear out of the listeners, leaving them to re-think their lives afterwards!

I was legitimately listening to this record for the first time on my lunch break at work and felt myself slipping into a delirious mental state just hearing the instrumentals and their darkness!

There’s not a single boring track on this album, whether we are talking about tracks like

‘Devils, Demons & Voices’ which has this absolutely eerie introduction with those sound effects that sound like someone talking backwards, true exorcist style! The track doesn’t progress any easier with those haunting keys and that uncomfortable vocal loop that remains over the whole track!

We can talk about the track ‘Kasady’s Kitchen CookBook’ which has a more Halloween 80’s Slasher flick soundtrack vibes! With those fast paced strings in the intro that sounds equal parts chaotic and cinematic!

As the song progresses you hear those same chaotic strings on loop and some build up keys and heavy drums that remind me of a Godzilla scene!

I don’t want to give any more tracks away because this album sounds and writes like a sickening grotesque artwork that you’d find in a museum. The type that’s so vivid and graphic that it can’t be shown on TV! This combination is easily the most intense and sinister I’ve heard all year and I can’t imagine anyone topping that! Give this record a listen NOW!

(B Side: My Offering to Hip Hop, the Soul)

One of my favourite parts about doing the reviews that I do is that I can regularly discover new talent from all different walks and genres, and today’s could be one of the most exciting and memorable releases I’ve heard this year! So let’s talk about it!

This is a June B Side release by MC JASZ OFFICIAL and produced by the likes of

-RENAISSANCE J & RENAISSANCE TONE & REAZON and Old Souly and this click dropped seven tracks that have the list of

-NYEUSI LOE

-STICKY BANGER as the MC’s responsible for leaving up and building up the atmosphere of the record, and you couldn’t ask for a stronger duo for that!

Now, I’ll be honest. I haven’t heard the original production of the record, so I don’t have that to compare to, but based on just this alone, I have to say I was blown away. Very rarely do I put a record on, and I immediately find myself vanishing into a trance-like state where I’m absorbing the instrumentation and letting my mind wonder because the music on here is so fucking soulful and harmonic that I found it hard to write this because I was completely hypnotised by it!

From the opening track ‘WALKED OUT’ and those initial distorted vocal harmonies that set the tone for the rest of the record with those plucked bass strings and methodical drums!

I wasn’t expecting this level of graceful production, and it only gets stronger as the record continues!

You’ve got tracks like ‘WORKIN 4 DA $’ that have these beautiful violin strings and more usage of blissful vocal harmonies with some more light drums! This record follows a specific pattern that maintains an overall fluent sound that runs elegantly and thoroughly!

If I had to describe what this reminds me of, it’s the hip hop version of SADE: LOVE DELUXE in the way that the record remains constructed and fluent from start to end! I love records that are able to do that!

Again, I haven’t heard what this original record is meant to sound like, but I can’t imagine the production being better than what this one had to offer in its masterful melodies and angelic presentation!

As far as the MC work goes, and considering this is the first time I’ve heard JASZ, I had high hopes after seeing who was featured on here, and not only did he do well, but he outshined any expectations I had!

What makes him stand out across this record is the way he presents himself with his writing, charisma, cadence, and overall style that makes him stand out from the rest. This man is telling mini visual stories with every verse he spits that teleports you to a different world with every bar he spits.

Add that to the immaculate production, and you have a recipe for a classic. It’s not just the way he writes either; it’s his actual enunciations, his pronunciation of the words, the way he bends the beats to his liking, and utilising his rhythm to create a certain atmosphere that makes him a MC you have no choice but to focus on!

He’s smooth and yet powerful. Like a hip-hop MLK, soft-spoken but intricate in every single aspect of his speech. You can tell he’s the kind of man where once he speaks, the world listens.

The fact he brought with him the calibre of talent in those two to help with the track is evidence of his strive for mastery and his confidence in himself to be able to rap alongside arguably two of the best in the underground right now!

Overall, a fantastic effort (especially for a B-side record), this is on the same quality level as a Kendrick ‘Untitled/Unmastered’ release. Fantastic performances all around!

(Cortina)

This announcement made me happier than I thought I could be. The final instalment needed for a ‘FEED THE FAMILY’ completed run for 2025, with multiple efforts by Bori, a couple by Top Hooter, and a surprise drop by Shaykh last month, we finally have a full-length drop by the remaining FTF soldier, and before I even pressed play, I knew it would be dope! Let’s get it!

This is the brand-new full-length release by MC Dun Deadly! Again, this has me so fucking hyped after hearing him as a feature on many projects of others. I was patiently waiting for his own, and now we are here!

On this project, we have production from the following:

Tremendiss

Piff

Diggz

DiselMania

Chef Bogey

DeevoDaGenius

Rich Tayo

Bza

Humbeats

Get Large

As well as guest MC’s such as:

Snotty

BoriRock

Tega

Shaykh Hanif

Last Days

And man, the one thing (among many) that I LOVE about the ‘FEED THE FAMILY’ crew is that you can expect them to take that theatrical/cinematic route with their music. They are never content with just making a regular album; it’s always high-end, score shit, and this album is no exception!

Across this record, we hear 38 minutes of pure, unadulterated hip-hop that has no weak points to speak of!

So many infectious and powerful production choices on here that there are too many to list! But I’ll try to list some of my personal favourites!

The first being ‘Nose Dive’. This track feels like a 4K choir come to life. You’ve got that vocal melody loop in the background that brings the song that church vibes! On top of that, we have something methodically paced drums with some subtle chords in the background to give this song that little extra depth and detail!

I love this track because it reminds me of a modern-day take on Kanye West’s ‘Jesus Walks’ but the underground version!

Another track I love is ‘Compressor Pressure’. This is another Tremendiss cut, and he pulls out another skeletal classic featuring two of the most badass MC’s in the game right now. Across this song, we have another vocal loop that feels a lot more classical and opera in execution compared to the previous one.

This one has plucked strings and some more Spanish-style guitar and 70s keys towards the middle of the track as we introduce Snotty onto the track!

I love this track for its gritty minimalism that gives the rappers all the freedom to go off on!

The final track that really impressed me was the song ‘Brick of Cortina’. Compared to the other two, this track has a lot more of a subtle feel to it with those delicate key loops, those heavy-handed drum beats, and that underlying hip-hop beat that can be felt ever so subtly in the background to give it a base skeleton for the rest of the elements to layer on top of!

This is also the track that’s produced by my main man Deevo! And contains Bori and Tega, two absolute zingaz!

Look, even though there’s a roster of beat makers on this record, they all absolutely kill and bring modern-day classics from the infectious bangers to the subtle masterpieces that create a whole vibe that you can only expect from a FEED record! No lie!

When it comes to the rapping across this record, I honestly feel like Dun has felt the responsibility from the other members and is acting accordingly to maintain the strong releases and dope quality the Family has brought to the table and is following suit!

Across this record, we hear what I would honestly consider some of the best rapping I’ve heard all year! It’s no surprise he’s nice from all the features and previous experiences with him, but even so, I feel he’s outdoing even his former self and evolving right in front of our eyes!

His talent is ridiculous with a flow that feels unmatched with its fluency, his dominating presence across the tracks that’s also balanced in smooth and well-enunciated rhythm and wordplay!

I’d say out of all the Family drops and after hearing this he has the strongest and most vivid example of street poetry that’s tapped with gritty details and hardened resolve!

I wasn’t expecting his verses to be as pin point accurate and as intricate as they were, he really was on a whole new level on this album. Sounding like a true poet the way he crafted his bars, his use of crafty one liners and double entendres rolling off the tongue for his so fucking smoothly was crazy.

On top of that he utilises to the full every feature on this record. He doesn’t just have them on here for the fuck if it, he makes sure they all bring that something special and enhance the specific tracks they are on and that’s what makes their presence on this album special!

This is a MUST listen for any Hip Hop fan, with not a wasted breath or beat out of place this is easily going on the ‘AOTY’ category!

(BOOTH INVADERS)

We are so back with this latest single! I’ve also been pleasantly impressed and surprised with how many monthly followers this man has grown since I first discovered him! He’s seemed to be getting the attention he deserves, and hopefully, he only skyrockets from here!

This is the brand-new single by MC AU! He comes packed with past producer D-Don and featuresSam Buck! A match made in heaven on this track that is as memorable as they come!

Why? Because the instrumental has this gorgeous, intricate/classical feel to it, from those opening angelic keys, violin strings, and that spoken word that gives this track an extra layer of cinematic feel!

From there, we hear the track evolve into a more grand and explosive representation of sounds, sonic colours, and flavours that feel like you’re eating at a fancy restaurant but for the ears! We have those co-ordinations in the strings, the heavy drums, and the overall busy presence that this track morphs into from the intro.

Based on the artwork, it could be this track was Halloween-inspired, but regardless, fantastic work by D-DON on the instrumental!

Onto the actual rapping itself, we have D-DON himself kicking things off with his most smooth and impressive verses I’ve heard him yet! Everything from his studio cadence to his enunciation and his immaculate flow and structure— it was all mind-blowing! I found myself bopping my head the whole verse, mean-mugging my phone with my headphones on— it was wild!

Now, onto the second cunning linguist on the track, we have AU (who always makes me happy because his name reminds me of Australia where I live), but regardless, he does the impossible by matching that incredible first verse with a verse of his own that’s equally as cunning, impactful, explosive, and witty!

He showcases his versatile lyricism, his fluent motion and flow, as well as his ability to morph any beat into his own will and manipulate his performances accordingly!

These two make an excellent pairing; they have incredible chemistry, work off each other well, and you can just feel the brotherhood on this track. A pairing I hope we see more of in the future!

Definitely a track worth checking out, an all-rounder in the best way possible!
