(Banana Woods)

It’s that time again to discuss a familiar duo I’ve dealt with a few times in 2025. A duo who work as a great dynamic because they both rap and both produce! Considering this fact, let’s get into it!

This is the brand-new EP by the pair of MC/Producers Sabio Dub and Malhee, and together they drop a fresh batch of six tracks with just 11 minutes of content, but considering the players involved, they can make even this length pop! If we start talking about the production aspect of things (as I mentioned, they both play hands in it), we see them take a ride to a more acoustically charged and methodical level of beats that I can’t say I’m familiar with until now!

A perfect example is that opening track -Cloud Surfing, as it literally feels like how the name describes! You have these acoustic-style strings in a plucked looped as well as some sharper chords in the background with some subtle key progressions.

Such a light and bare track to start the EP off, and yet I find one of the most mesmerising cuts off the whole collection!

It’s a different tune (literally) as the song progresses into a more dance vibe with -Gelato Lemonade, as we hear these funky chord progressions combined with that funky beat patterns and soulful vocal rhythm! I wasn’t expecting such a fun and groovy track right after that intro track, but it snapped regardless! It was colourful and expressive in the most ‘sunshine’ way possible!

We have tracks like -Black Bows, which takes a step back into that more methodically paced track with those plucked strings in that repetition loop that’s accompanied by some super raw drums and an unusually light vocal snippet that comes around every five seconds! This felt to me like the most left-field track off the whole EP; it doesn’t really fit any type of genre, but it’s still more on one of the slower sides!

How they close the record off I found was interesting with -Los Dinos as it goes into a more Spanish meets boom-bap route! Probably the more rough and rugged vibe track off the whole EP! You’ve got that hypnotic Spanish-sounding vocal loop, those trap-influenced beat patterns, this choir-inspired second vocal snippet in the background as well as an overall atmospheric vibe across the instrumental!

Each song seems to have its own unique identity and feel to it, which I dug heavily!

The rapping chemistry between these two men is already well documented! Two different styles, personalities, and egos coming together under one harmonious and synchronous system where they both share equal responsibility for bars and beats!

Sabio with his more laidback ‘sunshine rap’ presence and Mal with his more in-your-face and no-nonsense approach make for a good, compelling contrast to one another that’s always refreshing to hear on their duo tapes!

It’s not just the variety of presence, but they both have fantastic pen game, intricate, and at times introspective lyricism. I felt Sabio is back on his more hardcore pen game with more drug talk than he usually would, but he pulled it off with a fluent and breezy flow as he always does!

Mal! Always the one with the serious tone following the lead on topics similar to Sabio, proving a (more often than not) brash/street talk take on the lyrics and verses, which came out incredibly sharp and interesting!

With a chemistry like theirs, they don’t really need any features! They shine brightest together, and they are about to maximise such a short time frame to the absolute peak as they have in the past and as they do so here!

So, if you’re a fan of either of these men or if this is your first time hearing this duo together, then you are in for a treat! Because nobody makes music like these two! Click the link below!

(THE ART OF WAR: CHAPTER 3)

Well, it’s time to take a haunting trip to the past. More specifically, to HALLOWEEN of last year, where an MC who I’ve had brief experience with over the years released an album (and third instalment) of a series that I see gaining traction in the underground, and so with that said, let’s talk about it!

This is the October 2025 drop by MC WarWillKill, as well as production from

-YFI

-Dominican Kev

-DeLucas

-Elm Maxwell

-Jayytrip

-Rajn Mann

-Prod. Mason

-JJARED

-Inzuka

-mf zeph

-Bliss Mirage

-Saahilio

-Skip The Kid

-warwillkill

-Kosa

As well as features from

-YFI

-IForgot

-Heartbreak Julio

-Agent Sin

-Yani2k

-Gustavo Louis

-Trash Tompsin

-Emojipink

-Aenea

-Kosa

-G Tunes

-THE REBEL SKY

-Lou Kray

-Amina

Man, that is ALOT of names to keep track of, some I’m familiar with. Most not, but despite that fact, this is truly an experience, surely like no other (due to its sheer volume of characters alone), working on a single project.

Anyone who knows me will tell you I ain’t normally the biggest fan of these overly bloated type tapes with a roaster so big, but I will admit in cases like these, they do have their purpose and do contain a certain energy and vibe that I know has its own niche fan base!

I would describe the production as extremely atmospheric, blended with some Ambient/Experimental/Synth elements. Each song has a lot of layers and sounds going on that it can appear scattered at times, but there is a controlled chaos aspect to the project that I can appreciate!

There are certain moments on the album that are more calming than others, like -D-GENERATION X  or -GRAB THE PEN, where the beats sound more soulful, traditional, and boom-bap inspired, but a lot of the instrumentals I do find to be a sonic whirlwind of various influences and sounds constantly swirling around the ears of the listeners!

Again, I do see the brilliance in a lot of the tracks; there’s obviously a lot of talent here (a few of the producers I fuck with heavily), but maybe I’m just old school or just too old, but unfortunately, I find a lot of the tracks just messy. (But I do understand there’s a core fan base for this kind of sound) that will completely disagree with me, and for those fans, this level of intensity and chaos will be up your ally, I’m sure!

As far as the MC work goes, again, with such a huge roster, it can be easy to get lost amongst the various characters and personalities, but even so, I feel the rappers have a lot better time (for me anyway) to be identified and memorable in their verses!

Each man seems to have their own key moments and cadence, their own unique charisma, and rhythm!

I mean, I fuck with Gustavo Louis still to this day; the same goes for Heartbreak Julio and THE REBEL SKY, so of course, they are distinctive to me, but even the others who are new to me did enough to impress and leave a lasting impression of solid bars, verses, and pen game that seemed to shine (even over beats I wasn’t the most impressed with).

I do respect the fact that they decided to make both sides even (in the sense of a ton of names for producers and MC’s) to balance out the album, and it does help having so many faces and their individual takes across the vast production as it lets the audience taste and sample the different types of vibes and styles that this album has to offer!

So, with that in mind, I feel a lot of this album just ain’t my lane (and that’s okay!), not everything is or would be. BUT that doesn’t take away from the creativity, originality, and especially the work of the rappers who never stood out for a bad verse to me at least.

Respect to everyone who tried their hand at this, and it just goes to show, the new generation is something to look forward to!

(TWIN BLADES OF DOOM)

I know I’ve already said my high praises to the label, but looks like I’m forced to again. What the fuck can’t Jackpot Records do? This label is taking over in a way I haven’t seen, period. The kind of music they are making is beyond extraordinary, from Al tapes to BlueHill to DATKID and now to SHAWBRUVAZ, and I knew this album was going to be crazy, but I couldn’t have expected this! We gotta get into this!

This is the brand-new FREE ALBUM by Jackpot Records that showcases MC’s SHAWBRUVAZ and is completely produced by Al Divino himself! Featuring the likes of

-KILBILL

-BLUEHILLBILL

And these 15 tracks are some of the most animated songs I’ve heard in the culture, point blank. This thing sounds like a comic book on cocaine come to life! It’s animated, colourful, explosive, saturated, and insane in execution!

I want you to imagine a new series for Adult Swim and then picture a hip-hop series that’s every bit as wild and unpredictable as you can imagine, and that’s this one!

This album makes albums like ODB’s ‘Return To The 36 Chambers, Dirty Version’ or Danny Brown’s ‘XXX/Atrocity Exhibition’ sound tame in comparison; it’s absolutely ridiculous how high energy, vibe, and adrenaline this record is. After my first listen, I was blown away, and the shock only got deeper the more times I listened to it!

And this album also is littered with a variety of skits that sound more ridiculous the more you listen to it. I’m talking over-the-top performances that sound like men as high as they are humanly capable of being, mumbling and screaming to themselves in a comic style! It’s hard to explain unless you hear it for yourself, but regardless, definitely some of the most memorable skits I’ve ever heard in my life. Eat your heart out, MF DOOM!

At this point, Al Divino should be mentioned among your top ten greatest producers list. His kind of wave is 4th dimensional in execution. He’s on some next-universe type instrumentals! He’s no longer in our timeline; he’s far gone centuries into the future playing that 3026 type shit in our current dimension, and it’s unreal each and every time he blesses us with an album!

When we discuss the SHAWBRUVAZ, these two are revolutionising the culture in the way they are rapping! They somehow are able to match the insane high pressure of the production with their own brand of powerful pressure lyricism and charisma that can somehow work well with the beats and showcase their own sharp sonic katanas that slice through the beats in gruesome fashion!

They are absolutely bonkers with the MC work. I’m taking slashing wordplay, verbal massacre with the pen game, uncontrollable and violent chemistry back and forth between the two men who match each other’s energy and intensity with the others!

I found their style so fucking hypnotic! Maybe it’s due to the pairing with that extremely atmospheric beats that made the verses that next level impactful, or maybe it’s just their natural rhythm and skills, but either way, they sound like a pair of evil Looney Tunes characters let loose! They are so raw, passionate, and ever so gargantuan in their pronouncements and expressions!

Imagine two Tasmanian devils coming together on a beat and learning how to rap but maintaining their same uncontainable energies! That’s exactly how this feels! Some of the most unhinged yet powerful rapping performances I’ve EVER heard, and it’s addictive to listen to!

If you haven’t heard this one yet, then you are MISSING OUT! If what I said so far hasn’t intrigued you, then you’re not right in the head, and you can’t be for the culture. Go get yourself a copy from Jackpot Records and experience the controlled chaos!

(From The Vault)

I’ll be honest, it ain’t my favourite thing to review beat tapes. I always feel I can’t give the most cohesive review without both vocals and beats, but if there’s any producer I’m willing to always do it for, it’s this man! A man who has shown in the past that he is capable of releasing some of the dopest records and beats in the culture, and so with all the faith in the world, I present to you

FROM THE VAULT

This is the latest beat tape by mega producer Noisy Ne!ghbour with a fresh batch of 12 tracks. This thing is a titan of sounds and influences large enough to satisfy any and all hip hop fans!

There are just so many tracks worth mentioning! We can start with that intro track – The Four Horsemen, which sounds like spaghetti western meets classic jazz! (Sounds weird, I know), but somehow he pulls it off!

You’ve got those looping string progressions in the background that remind me of sonic tumbleweeds as we have the main low register jazz horns going off in two different tones (one higher and one lower), and then to top it off, we have a third layer of jazz that comes around every 10 seconds or so to hit you with a massive wave of sound!

As well as some surreal drums that make this feel like a boom bap’s equivalent of Clint Eastwood! It’s strange, but man does it fucking work!

We have tracks like – Mr Socko, which sounds like a creepy walk in the most dangerous hood you can find. You’ve got those deep and dark key progressions that possess a looming presence as they loop around the track in the two shades of tones!

On top of that, we save some sickening bass and some drum notes that provide the skeletal structure to the whole thing!

This beat SCREAMS boom bap in its rawest form, and it’s definitely not the kind of song to listen to at night!

We have tracks like – Pinto Beans, which provides us with an almost mysterious, spy movie beat! This is the kind of shit I can imagine myself playing in the background as I try some Tom Cruise, Mission Impossible shit! Climbing up walls and shit!

You’ve got these beautifully plucked strings that are accompanied by some surreal drums, light bass, and some distorted second layer of strings that come and go abruptly throughout the whole song!

I caught myself bumping my head to this shit more than the rest of the tracks if I’m being honest!

We can even look at the outro track – We Can Make It, which decides to end the album on a classical/soul note! It’s got these gorgeous, angelic vocal samples that ever so smoothly blend with those jazz horns (in the two different layers) as well as some timely violin strings, plucked strings, and drums!

This is the kind of track you sit back, light a cigar to, and let the end of the day pass you by as you let the stress of the last 24 hours melt away as you prepare for a new one!

Man, I ain’t here to spoil every single track, but if the tracks I have described don’t excite you, then you’ve lost your fucking mind. He’s one of the most talented producers out there, and he just created a surreal and grand world with no vocals in one of the most vivid ways possible! So go support the man and click the link below!

(W(h)OA!)

A new project by this man already? What a run he’s already on, and it ain’t even February yet! He’s the type of prouder who might seem underrated until you discover him, and then you feel his mainstream FORCE in full effect, and that’s exactly how it feels here! Let’s talk about it!

This is the brand-new album by MC Zay Mo and Producer WHOA1.0, and this project has eight songs and 18 minutes of content that is sure to light you up and make you feel a reign of adrenaline that I doubt you would have felt before! Because this project is LIT!

This is the fucking production I discovered WHOA on! Don’t get me wrong, I loved what he did on the Bluehill and how he was able to switch it up and show us his diversity, but when he hits that high-energy, vibe-type instrumentals, he can’t miss, and he doesn’t on this one!

We get just under 20 minutes of pure sonic caffeine injected into the veins of the audience that makes you want to move your body the entire record.

There’s not a slow song on this whole album; each song presents itself in a different tone of speed and groove! What sounds like scattered production like a mix of boom-bap meets trap meets Coke wave! The combination of the three makes for a mind-bending listen that will leave you exhausted by the end of it!

On this one, WHOA doesn’t hold anything back; he goes all out to drain all possible energy, aura, and vibe from the instruments and created a fever dream of sounds and influences that takes over the body, mind, and soul until you’re left fully possessed by the atmosphere!

When we discuss the newcomer (to me at least) in Zay, we are presented with a man who has enough charisma to lend to the culture like Naruto with his chakra! He’s absolutely infectious in his performances!

He kind of reminds me of the underground’s equivalent of ‘Chance the Rapper’ but more consistent and talented. The same type of unorthodox way of performing that is equally parted animated, quirky, precise, and sharp! The type of cat that can blow the roof off the stage and lyrically dismantle you in the same verse!

I love how he synced with the production on this one; the upbeat, crazy instrumentals mesh perfectly with his own out there and unpredictable flow and rhythm, and so combined they feed off each other to create the best atmosphere for both!

Every track presents a new side to Zay, a new face of his to showcase! Whether that be fast-paced, introspective, completely out there, or more mellow! You’ll never know which side you’ll get song to song besides the face that he’ll provide 10-fold emphasis to the beats and elevate them in a way no one else could!

Man, this is one of the most fun and energetic projects I’ve heard in a minute. These men have perfect chemistry together, and if you’re looking for something refreshing and different, then I highly recommend you listen to these guys!

(The EP 2)

The more I think about it, the more crazy it is to me that I’ve literally gone through every phase of this man’s brain in motion. I’ve seen all his different creative ideas form, all his different influences come to life, and now I’m seeing him develop as an artist. I can’t say that for many others, but I can for him! So without delaying further, let’s talk about it!

This is the brand-new EP by MC CAOS with production from

-DEAD POETZ

-ISAC NO BEAT

-TONY TONE

-ENGINEER

-CAOS and features the likes of

-DJ FLIPCYIDE

-K-PREZ

-NICK GENRE

-JUXX DIAMONDZ

-.T.G.

And across this 21-minute EP, we see CAOS return to his most trademark and blueprint style of hip hop that takes it back to the 90’s era in execution. From the production and as the first track properly kicks off, we get some of the finest old-school vibe with those heavy drums, infectious cuts and scratches, and no-nonsense bars and vibes!

The whole album takes this path as every track has a minimalistic attitude with a few layers each that’s been mastered and controlled to the utmost technical degree to sound absolutely surreal!

Whether that be in the form of plucked/elegant strings with that methodically paced drums, or maybe we talk about those sharp key progressions with those light/delicate soulful second-layer piano keys with funky drum beats!

OR we talk about tracks with those harmonising/choir-style vocal loops accompanied with those long and synth-style chord progressions and hypnotic drums! No matter which layered track we talk about or describe, it’s all done tastefully and in the same work ethic as the old school did it!

You can hear the sharpness, the originality, the banger hits that’s soaked into every single song on here. The quality woven throughout the 7 tracks, the lack of filler and wasteful shit. Each producer does their part to make an elevated form of underground hip hop and pulls it off perfectly!

Speaking of elevated forms of underground hip hop, we have CAOS. A man who, trust me, has gone through every idea and concept possible in this game, from massive collaboration projects to Valentine’s Day-inspired albums (and everything in between), and now he’s back to a more rooted, down-to-earth representation and honesty. He sounds dope as fuck doing it!

Across these tracks, we hear him with a more grounded mix of lyricism, fluent flow, and well-pronounced wordplay that is clear, constructive, and strong-willed! He’s always had the reigns on the vivid descriptions and pen game, and this album is no exception! From descriptions of personal experience to more bragging/brash lines, it all feels surreal and immersive, as if you’re right there with him as he’s talking and walking his shit!

As much as I loved and appreciated his out-there and creative ventures (in my opinion), he does sound his best when he’s grounded and more focused and precise on his verses as a whole. His charisma and ability to construct words and feelings across his songs, he does these all best when he’s on a more one-dimensional basis (and I mean that in the most respectful way possible).

Also, gotta give a quick shoutout to the features as they definitely enhance and uplift the overall album’s energy and intensity! Not just features for feature’s sake but incredibly talented MC’s (and DJ’s) doing their best work!

So, what are you waiting for? You already know EP 1 was dope, so let’s get the same excitement for EP 2! Link below!

(Dangerous Ways)

I’d say this is my first attempt at a RE-RELEASE REVIEW! And I gotta say I’m extremely honoured to be thought of to do it, especially when it focuses on an artist I’ve had plenty of experience with and one who I can count on to be dope on any given day of the week. Especially when you add in these producers and features, it’s a fucking wrap! So let’s go!

This is the new Re-release tape by MC K. Burns, and on this record it features the production of

-$ave Me

-The StandOuts

-Zilly900

-The Historian

-Damn! Dave

-38 Spesh

-DIRTYDIGGS

-ECTO-84

And verses from

-Estee Nack

-Hus Kingpin

-The Musalini

-Long Live Scarr

-Pro Dillinger

-Lenox Hughes

-318 Chase

And with this premium team of beat makers and MC’s, you know this album has nowhere to go but UP!

If we start with the production, we are graced with one of K’s most cinematic yet. I remember how blown away I felt when he released his tape with Hiyah777 ‘WAR DOGS’ and how unbelievably amazing that production was. Well, this one feels on that same level (but in a more grand and lavish kind of way).

This is the kind of score I’d expect to be playing around the mafia and real-life dons. I’m talking about that methodically paced, surreal instrumentation with the hint of suspense and danger attached to it.

This album runs like a theatrical succession of events that come together as a whole in this soundtrack to success and street poetry. It’s a testament to the level of talent in the production, knowing by investing in such gold that you’ll get diamonds in return.

There isn’t a single break, missed beat, or awkward transition to be found. This runs as smoothly and fluently as one can expect a score to be played. This feels like one film-size song that’s cut into a variety of tracks with their own unique style and features to separate it from the rest.

I can’t compliment this music enough. It literally feels like music Martin Scorsese himself would make for one of his films. It’s glorious but also dangerous, and that feel is woven into every inch of the record!

Speaking of glorious and dangerous, we have K. Burns. A man who hasn’t missed since he started making albums. As mentioned above, a man I discovered from his ‘WAR DOGS LP’, and I haven’t looked back since.

To say he’s back stronger than ever would be a huge understatement! Because he’s back in it with a newly established charisma and street formality that I haven’t heard from up (at this level) up until this point in his career, and it’s fantastic to see and hear!

Across each of these tracks, he’s trademarking a new level of smooth flow mixed with his usual brash street aggression that acts more as a cool simmer than an outright explosion, but it’s burning nonetheless, and he’s ready to scorn and scar any haters this time around!

His bars are elite. He’s flowing through this production like a vicious shark in water, smelling blood. From his powerful rhythm to his incredible one-liners and his talent for puns and wordplay, he’s got the whole package, and after a year of dope drops, he’s just flexing at this point!

Speaking of flexing, did you see the feature MC’s listed on this joint? We are talking BEST OF THE BEST! Unbelievable performances by all involved, and any one of these men has the potential to out-rap anyone on any given day, so to see K hold his own against the greats proves his status and authenticity in the culture!

I wasn’t surprised at all. This was another incredible drop by K. Burns and company! He’s as savage and skilled as ever, and the production is as cinematic as I’ve ever heard it!

(Big Ugly Face)

This is now the third anti-ICE/Trump sonic effort I’ve covered in January. Needless to say, the tensions in the US are escalating, and although I don’t have a stake in it as I’m not from there, it’s obvious even to me that the situation there and here is the latest expression by two new artists that are eager to share their thoughts and feelings on the matter!

This is the brand-new single by MC Connie Roses and producer Kondracki, and across this 2 minutes and 33 seconds, it’s accompanied by a music video that shares the images, themes, and concept that Connie wanted to share, and it’s pretty obvious!

The public opinion on the government, who I assume to be ICE agents, the overall experience living in the US right now, and yeah, it looks pretty grim.

It seems that Connie is sharing not only his personal story with the situation but the entire country’s (or at least a lot of them), and this video is an eye-opener to that!

As we move to the actual music, starting with the production, we have a rather experimental, in-nature instrumental with those synth-heavy keys in the forefront with two different layers, one in a more complex and distorted main loop, the other in the form of glistening keys!

There’s also some super bare drums in the background ever so subtly, and this extremely powerful beat comes together to demonstrate their even stronger feelings on the way things are right now.

Talking about that, we have Connie. What I loved about his two verses was the amount of descriptive words and sentences used to describe the issue hand. So it’s not like he’s blunt and saying things like ‘fuck Trump and ICE’ instead; he’s saying lines like – love they daddy, love their daddy so much they suck what they made him with/kiss their momma on the lips with it’, which I assume is a line about the MAGA supporters and Trump!

But that’s the genius of this man’s writing and lyricism across this track! He’s using complicated and technical concepts to display his frustrations and anger at the current system, and I respect him heavily for that!

His flow is a mixture of Aesop Rock meets Illogic with the animated presentation of an Open Mike Eagle! It’s engaging, smart, intelligent, and sharp at once, and his flow goes perfectly with that out-there instrumental!

Whether you’re pro or anti-Trump, can’t we just all agree this is a dope as fuck track with political implications? Just give it a listen, and I’m sure your eyes will be opened as mine were to the dope discovery of a new artist!

(Who Laced My Blunt?! 3)

I gotta say, this is probably one of the most underrated series in the game right now. One that’s full of personality and flavour but one I rarely see on lists! Unfortunate as that may be, I’m hoping my reviews can bring more attention to a series much deserving of it! So with that in mind, let’s talk about it!

This is the brand new (and third sequel) by MC Concept and Producers:

– Allcutnate

– Chris Crack

– Jazzy Lion Man and features the likes of:

– Basik

– Jay Cinema

– Teezus Christ

-Marvelous 1k

And as expected, for the third instalment, we have Concept and company going higher and more grand than he ever did on the last two (which is saying a lot) considering how good the others were!

Across this tape, we hear a more refined and surreal production where each track has a level of depth, cinema, and grandeur to them that elevates this album 10x fold.

You’ve got tracks such as -Cerebral, which feels like the sonic equivalent of smoking a fat blunt. You’ve got Jazzy incorporating those beautifully hypnotic jazz horns in two variations, one in the main forefront, another going on more subtly in the background while also accompanied by a beat pattern that wraps the whole track up!

We have the track -Back Myself Up, which is done by Jazzy as we see him utilise his more soulful side! We have that angelic vocal harmony that runs throughout the song (again with two different sides), one in the forefront, the other in an almost choir-style rhythm following behind it! This track also has some string progressions and bare drum beat that provides the sonic skeleton to the whole track!

This is also the track that features the work of Jay Cinema and Teezus Christ, who absolutely killed the track!

Hell, we can even look at the track -Systemic Blues, which is another gorgeous jazz track that is so mesmerising that it takes over your brain and leaves you in a state of relaxation for the duration of the track!

You’ve got those light yet graceful jazz notes running through the track, as well as those glistening keys and those ever-so-luscious bass strings that wrap the whole track up!

Again, this production is on a whole different level; the names alone carry heavy weight, so when they actually come together to do their thing, it’s nothing short of brilliance!

Speaking of BRILLIANCE, we have the man of the hour, CONCEPT. A man who had a pretty active discography last year, a lot of key songs and albums that again really should have been listed higher but left him in the ‘underrated’ section more than anything else, a narrative I hope to change with today!

Across these eight songs, 20 minutes, we see him at his most lively and focused. He’s zoned in like he hasn’t prior and really fleshing out these instrumentals with his upgraded flow, lyricism, wordplay, cadence; performance, he’s going all out on this one.

I love how fluent he sounds across this whole tape; he has a new confidence about him that oozes throughout the tracks! His sharp sense of rhythm and pen game is also insane. His fluency across these 20 minutes as he paints his vivid pictures, mixed with his introspective verses as well as his personal bars, it all comes together in a formulated and clear manner that works ever so well with the production at hand!

On this album, I feel his conviction and passion, his love for the game. You can hear it in his voice, his performances, the way he’s spitting the bars. On top of all that, the way he’s performing kind of reminds me of the late 2000s trap era, with that swag and aura filling up the songs; he is showcasing the same energy, and it works perfectly with the score at hand!

I would say if you haven’t heard the first two, go and do that first and then go peep this one! It’s a trilogy that is massively/criminally underrated and I feel deserves to share the spotlight with the best of them, and this is the strongest of the series yet!

(Bullseye)

We are back with another hot single by two of the strongest in the industry. Two men who are no strangers to each other, who spent last year creating some of the most compelling work in the game. Now they are back with a little taste of what’s to come, and this taste is enough to have you feeling for more! So let’s get to it!

This is the brand-new single by MC Kingdom Kome and Producer Ruen. Together, they drop this incredible three minutes and 45 seconds of pure sonic devastation that is sure to knock you out of your boots!

Let’s start off with that incredible beat by Ruen! This thing is an absolute EXPLOSION! First of all, we have those glistening piano keys that go off in that luscious and faint haunting connection, that’s combined with those plucked strings that go off in that subtle yet sticky brilliance that makes for the perfect pairing to the keys!

There’s also some methodically paced drum patterns that have such a funky, hypnotic rhythm to them that is infectious as hell!

There’s also some old-school 90’s style cuts and scratches in between each chorus, but the final part that really blew me away was in the last 50 seconds of the song. We get this heavily vocal performance that continued to give me goosebumps the more I listened to it. It had this Egyptian vibe to it, like something you’d hear from the original ‘Mummy’ movies. It was so eerie yet so beautifully executed, one of the best outro sequences I’ve heard on a song in forever!

Then we move on to the performance by Kingdom! Man, if anyone deserves their flowers in this game, it’s him! He’s been one of the most consistent and hard-working men on the scene with his memorable bars and his unique discography and catalogue. He’s definitely one that I’ve enjoyed watching grow since last year, and boy does he bring it on this one!

Across this single, we see him up his lyricism game to a new level. We see, of course, his trademark heavy-handed, powerful voice that feels like an earthquake across the beat as he body slams his words permanently across the instrumental.

But this time, he’s deciding to push himself and see just how smart, how lyrical, and how well he can manipulate his bars and wordplay on this song! Acting like the evil genius of rap, we hear him try new techniques, with new clever one-liners and fun puns! When he ended his first verse with the line ‘these dudes fake moves like Lucha Libre,’ I freaked! I was in my room yelling (YOOOOO), woke up my missus and all, but I couldn’t help it— too dope!

It’s like he’s inheriting his inner  MF DOOM, trying his hand at seeing just how far he can push himself, and it’s something you really hear on the second verse— his calculations, and he sounds ever so fucking incredible doing so!

Another SOLID release by these two. I can’t wait for the new album, and you’ve always been on their wave for a minute, then you know what to expect! Go and peep them and show them some much-deserved love! I promise you won’t regret it!
