(WIGGIE WAVE)

This is a very special day of the year. As was ‘INFINITE WAVE’ and ‘LORD OF THE ZINGZ’. The day has come for the brand new Borirock album. This man has a style unlike any other, and each new release comes with a different theme, style, twist, and presentation, and this specific drop has me more excited than most! Let’s talk about it!

The third Borirock album of 2025, and this time he’s decided to collaborate with BeenOfficalLord. This album features production from the likes of:

-TREMENDISS

-GRIMM DOZA

-BLUE MASK

-MICHAELANGELO

-MR ROSE

And features the roster of:

-TOP HOOTER

-???

-al Divino

-Estee Nack

-Dun Dealy

And the reason why this specific drop has got me more excited than most is because I feel it’s a return to his more chaotic and colourful form of music! The era of ‘ZINGCLOPS’ or ‘ZING-DAYA’, and honestly, the more I dive into his discography, those types of records are becoming my favourites!

‘INFINITE WAVE’ and ‘LORD OF THE ZINGZ’ showcased his cinematic and surreal side, especially with legends like Bone Weso and Vinyl Villain behind the beats, making for a more theatrical score. But this time around, we get a more lively, groovy, and funky instrumentals that I feel synchronise with his personality a lot stronger!

To me, this type of production is like Venom to Eddie. It attaches itself to Bori, and the two of them become one!

This production feels fun, atmospheric, and wild! For example, let’s look at the track ‘GUNBUTT’ that has that absolutely gorgeous jazz sample with those thick bass strings! The speed of the tempo and those freelance jazz notes that appear throughout the track have such an animated and bright notion to it that I can’t help but groove to it!

This reminds me of his track ‘FREAKY FROG’ in the way the beat bounces and has a rhythm of its own! Absolutely incredible.

We can even investigate the track ‘WIG KULTURE’ that has this James Bond villain vibe to it! It’s got these haunting wobbling chords alongside these skeletal drums that make this track feel like a walking, talking fever dream! This is the kind of track you listen to while smoking a fat one and vibing off!

‘WIGGAVELI’ is another cut that stood out to me by Tremendiss! It’s got these incredibly unique vocal samples that loop across the track with these cinematic deep chords and what sounds like violin strings subtly in the background!

This definitely feels like ‘ZINGCLOPS’ era production (which I love), it feels larger than life. The actual track feels alive, if Jay-Z can make songs cry then Bori can cast a spell and have them living amongst us!

The final track ‘WIG TRAUMA’ I found to be a surprisingly way to close the record off! Surprising in its heartfelt feel to the sounds. You’ve got these delicate piano keys alongside subtle bass strings and a soft rock style drum pattern all coming together under this somber cocoon that leaves the audience feeling like they’ve just watched the end credits to one of the wildest movies they’ve ever experienced!

This is all to say that this album (while being a different projection from the other two) is one that reinforces Bori’s wavy nature and it brought me back to his earlier music days and I loved every second of it.

Now onto the rapping parts. This is a first for me because I’m talking about a collaboration album where Bori isn’t rapping alone! When someone has such a high charisma and endless energy as he does you don’t expect to hear him with anyone else (for a full album nonetheless) but this time he’s pairing with BeenOffical Lord who I first discovered on a Mondo Slade album a bit back and now he’s taking centre stage with Bori

I thought these two had great chemistry together! It’s interesting because I’m so use to hearing either ‘FEED THE FAMILY’ or the ‘Minimansion’ crew being the bar for chemistry for Borirock but with this guy he does just a good a job as any at maintaining the high energy levels, directing that unbelievable enthusiasm and passion on the mic and also providing a refreshing contrast so that it doesn’t sound like 2 of the same person on the tracks.

Of course we have Bori who is one of the most animated, lively and outgoing personalities in the rap scene period! Every word comes out colorful and bright while also featuring vivid imagery and street poetry that’s become trademark with his high pitched signature voice!

On the other hand we have BeenOffical who in comparison has a deeper octave, a more rough and no nonsense vibe to his bars and projects a in your face, step on your shoes/direct approach to his wordplay and that’s definitely a great choice for someone to pair with!

Considering the various styles both handle the verses immaculately never an awkward moment in transition and both seem to read each others mind as far as flow and rhythm is concerned which is dope!

The roster of features is obviously insane with the stand out track being ‘WIG KULTURE’ which features 6 people on the one track and all of them dominating the track in their own way!

One thing I found interesting is just like in the case of ‘INFINITE WAVE’ Dun Dealy is used as the feature for the closer track! Not sure if that was intentional or if there’s a pattern with it but either way I found that pretty insightful!

Overall this project is exactly the direction I would have wanted to see from Bori considering his last two albums. As magnificent as they were/are I feel he was due for a more stimulating and buoyant approach to his albums and this one scratches that itch for sure!

As with any of his albums make sure you don’t sleep on it!

(SWAN SONGS)

Alright, story time!!

Earlier this month, I was given the project ‘mixed affective state’ to fuck with and let’s just say I agreed NOT to review it because as far as experimental projects went, I felt this was weak and could be amplified a lot better.

And so, the artist in question went back into the lab and decided to unleash his most ambitious and creatively broken project to date! This is the point we are in now and oh boy, strap in because ain’t nobody ready for this one!

This is the latest album by producer DJ Krooked/Oddity Odyssey with 18 in all and this thing is the definition of MONSTROUS.

Now I’m gonna present this review a bit differently and not give away the sounds and aesthetics of the record but rather describe it in a non-spoiler way for the fans at home to get excited over and pique their interest for a listen themselves!

This thing is a fucking noise-filled juggernaut of a listen. I’m talking absolutely brash, broken, brazen and brutal all in one. It’s an unforgettable listen that will be carved into your memory for the rest of time.

This project feels like the universe gained consciousness and decided to flip you off and project every frustration and emotion specifically to you personally!

Imagine an album where noise comes to die. Where sound itself is swallowed, amplified and enhanced into such a sadistic state that you’re left staring face to face with an entity that’s not human, nor alive, nor dead but existing in dead space waiting for its next victims.

I ain’t exaggerating when I write this either, this record is beyond comprehension. DJ Krooked and his alter ego have finally reached that level of peak insight and knowledge into himself and his deepest, blackest void and used that to create this record.

For people who are fans of projects like Swans, Clipping, Xiu-Xiu, Death Grips and more this would be the project for you!

It’s unforgiving. It’s an experience that will trap you in its orbit for the duration of the record and FORCE YOU TO STAY, no matter what is going on around you; this will ALWAYS take centre stage. The forces within are too strong to deny, and as mentioned above, once you listen once, you will never be able to forget it.

I test all of you reading this to peep this record out with the link below! Open yourselves up to a lifetime of awakening and consumption of pure organic matter that is aimed straight at your soul!

Man, we’re getting a heartfelt track now? Is there anything these two can’t create together? After just listening to one of the smoothest pieces of rap music I’ve ever heard, now we have this vibe? Colour me excited. Let’s talk about it!

This is another single collaboration by MC FLYG and Producer Jazzy Lion Man! The duo that seems to never disappoint and only drop bangers! With larger-than-life sounds and exquisite lyricism, we have the best of both worlds coming together, and that is no different across this one!

This one (opposite to the last single LIONSBREATH) feels a lot more sombre in comparison. It’s got this tragic atmosphere and feel to it with these methodically paced piano chords, somewhat sounds like subtle maracas going off, as well as this very eerie and sad-toned vocal sample on loop.

The whole track feels like a heartfelt jazz ballad. It’s definitely not a sound I’ve heard utilised by Jazzy yet, and it further proves how diverse and creative this man really is!

This beat honestly makes me think of my passed grandma and the times we spent together. It’s the type of track (at least for me) that evokes memories and heavy memories and nostalgia, which is definitely the kind of experience I’d want to feel while I’m at home in bed, not at work haha, but regardless, it’s definitely one of the most heavy and concentrated songs I’ve heard in 2025!

To accompany the track, we have once again FlyG, who this time around sounds more surreal and methodical to match the tone of the track. He once again utilises his newly trademarked lyrical prowess. With a very powerful opening line by going ‘Why did you take that love?’ Again, since my mind is focused on my Nan, that line almost broke me (I saw almost purely because I’m at work and can’t be crying like a bitch here), but if I was at home, yeah, I’d be gone.

He’s decided to empathise his fantastic wordplay with the sad and heartbreaking atmosphere of the song, and pairing emotions with his genius vocabulary, you create an experience that can’t be compared to!

I love how towards the end he just starts slowing down, stops rapping, and just starts talking from his heart and thinking out loud.

To me, this gives me an idea of his mindset and mental going into the booth. I can imagine that he finished his written or memorised verse, then just sat there while the beat kept going, and his mouth just went on without his control.

Ironically, this kind of motion is what I’m scared of and why I’ve never visited my grandma’s grave. I feel not accepting it is the only thing keeping me from spiralling, and I feel (in a similar fashion) FlyG is just speaking things into existence at the end just to talk and let his heart time to express itself even if just for a few seconds.

Man, I wasn’t expecting to be hit this hard emotionally over this track. If my opinion means anything to you, fucks, just now this track was so powerful it broke even me! If you want to experience raw emotions, then give this a try!

(LIONSBREATH)

My GAWD, why does this duo have to be so fucking smooth? I can’t talk for you guys, but sometimes when I listen to a song or album and it hits you immediately with a certain wave, you can’t help but lay back and mean-mug the world in confusion like ‘DAMN, how are they doing this!’ Well, this is how I feel every time these two combine, and so, we gotta talk about it!

This is the latest collaboration single by MC sensation FLYG and producer Jazzy Lion Man. Both men have been on a crash course this year, releasing consistent and envelope-pushing records that have changed the structure of the underground, and when they come equipped together, it’s nothing short of magic!

Starting with the production. As hard as it might be to believe, this could be the smoothest beat I’ve ever heard from Jazzy! This beat is unreal.

We’ve got those folk-like/ambient chords that sound like I’m walking through the open world of ‘Zelda: Breath of the Wild’. They repeat in a hypnotic and absolutely gorgeous loop that just takes your breath away!

On top of that, we have these jazz-style drum patterns that provide a kick of life and rhythm into the instrumental to complete the whole package.

I think upon writing this, I’m on my 10x re-listen, and each time gives me goosebumps! I almost have to force myself to write this review due to its tranquil effect! Absolutely immaculate in execution and atmosphere!

On this wonderful score, we have FLYG. A man who I feel (based on the over 600+ reviews I’ve done this year alone) has developed most as a lyricist. I remember his earliest work I covered. While it was good, I knew lyrically he could evolve, and when he did, he just exploded, and that’s what we are seeing with this and his last few drops.

A man who is becoming more and more confident and powerful with his pen game and performance on the tracks. He’s utilising a more vocabulary-heavy structure with plenty of one-liners, puns, and thought-provoking bars that make you pause and think about what was just said.

I love how he officially started his verse ‘There Could Never Be Another Me’ and that sets the tone for the rest of the song. Because yeah, I haven’t heard anyone as solid as he is in the past few months.

His vibe is smooth and slick while remaining sharp and deadly lyrically as well as entertaining and enthusiastic on the tracks! He’s truly the whole package.

This is a duo I could never get sick of and if you’re still sleeping on him, I hope this track gives you fake ass back-packing fucks sleep paralysis! Go check it out

(Victor Charlie)

Man, what a collaboration! Both of these men have had a profound year in 2025, both in their own lane, but if this is a sign of a record coming, this could be the best release by both men so far! Let’s talk about it!

This is the brand-new single by MC powerhouse CRIMEAPPLE and legendary producer VDON, and together they dropped exactly two minutes of straight raw sonic footage that is sure to cancel out 90% of the content out there right now!

Starting with the production, VDON is channeling his eclectic boom bap influences with his no-nonsense, gritty, and muddy instrumental that is sure to leave you mean-mugging the world for at least the next 24 hours! It’s ridiculous.

You’ve got those intricate, rapid-pace piano keys that are right in the forefront of the beat. Accompanying that, we have these hypnotic drum patterns and a thick bass line so heavy you’ll find it impossible to stay in your seat listening to this one!

This is the kind of beat you listen to when you want to go out and commit crimes! The type of song that will give you a wave of adrenaline and confidence that no other drug could give you! It’s ruthless, relentless, and above all, memorable!

Alongside VDON, we have CRIME. The man who has turned himself into a household name in the space of a matter of years, and it’s got shit to do with luck but because of his unique and individual style that no one else can touch!

On this track, he showcases his infinite charisma and flawless rhythm that makes his flow and wordplay seem absolutely effortless.

He’s sharp with street vocabulary so intricate you’ll think you’re listening to poetry while he’s spitting some of the toughest bars you’ve ever heard!

Across the two-minute span, he doesn’t miss a single beat. Every breath lands exactly where it’s supposed to, and he does so in the most efficient and consistent way possible! It almost sounds like

all his thoughts just rhyme instinctively, and he’s not even thinking of bars instead just thinking out loud!

An absolute phenomenal pairing between two of the greatest in the industry right now, and if this is a taste for a VDON-produced CRIME album, then that will be early Christmas!

(Scarface)

Another exciting day because we get to experience the brand new single by the powerhouse killer himself, Pro Dillinger and FutureWave, and this one is just as hype, if not more so, than his last one! Let’s fucking go!

3 minutes and 15 seconds. This track doesn’t fucking play! This song only just came out, and I’ve already had it on my 5x replay! This shit goes beyond hard!

Talking about the production, we have FutureWave utilise that gritty Daniel Craig James Bond soundtrack vibes! You’ve got those hypnotic chords in a repetitive progression that forces your face into a mean mug while those distorted strings and mesmerising drums hit you in the face harder than Mike Tyson!

Combine that with that thick bass line, and you’ve got a track so deadly it will get you a real-life 5-star GTA rating, forcing you to go out and purge the city! That blood lust, quit your job, and watch the world burn type shit! I mean it, this vibe is absolutely incredible!

Of course, the other key to this puzzle is Pro Dillinger! The man with the notorious lore associated with his name. From Umbrella to Dirthouse, he’s been a titan in this game for years, and he’s forever maintained his cold-blooded, cut-throat, and violent sounds that is the bar to match for all those wannabe hardcore rappers who think they’re tough! He’s the one to decide if you’re real or not!

On this track, he ain’t playing around! As soon as the beat, his first words are ‘I’ll put some money on your head’, that’s how a REAL OG starts a song! No bullshit, fake shit, or wannabe shit, just pure raw bars and cold aura that will scare away all other competitors!

It doesn’t matter how many times I listen to them together, I’ll never get over the chemistry between Pro and Future.

They are a match made in chaos, and they run this shit! It’s as if Future can see his exact thoughts and makes the beat accordingly!

With Pro sounding more ruthless than I’ve ever heard him and Future sounding more surreal and methodical than I’ve ever seen, this track is yet another highlight into why ‘Dirtwave 3’ is bound to be album of the fucking year!

(No Luv)

The grime lord is back in the building! I’ve lost count of what number album this is for him now, but regardless, with every new release, he’s showcasing a new side of him and doing so in powerful fashion! So let’s talk about it!

Brand new EP by the legend himself, REEK OSAMA! Part of his incredible steamroll run of projects in 2025, and this time around, he’s partnering with producer $AVEME, and together they drop six tracks and 12 minutes of pure, unadulterated energy!

Now let’s start with the production! This time around, I get a more abstract and ambient feel than any other release by Reek this year! For example, you have the track ‘No Luv’, which has this instrumental energy with a beautifully crafted soul sample that’s repeated over gospel organ, violin, and light drums! It’s easily the most subtle I’ve heard Reek use, and that goes into the track

‘Angel$’, which features these distorted, almost electronic notes. These sci-fi-inspired long chords in different octaves! Alongside these hypnotic drums and synth chords that give this a bit of a ‘Deadmau5’ feel.

Which I know is weird to reference for an underground rap album, but that’s what it reminds me of, and I love the switch-up in sounds!

But then you have tracks like ‘Nile Green’, which has such a mesmerising beat! It’s hard to pinpoint the influence, but as abstract as this may sound, it reminds me of a ‘Forest Swords’ album, specifically the album ‘Compassion’ in those short, deep chanting aspect vocals with those long and skeletal chords!

This album has so many versatile elements that I’ve never heard Reek use before that it’s actually left me stumped on how to describe this album. If you’ve never heard any of those artist comparisons I mentioned above, then I draw this album down as ‘Deep, meditative electronic music vibe’ with subtle hip-hop and soul elements.

It’s very different and phenomenal at the same time!

Now onto Reek. The music itself might be switched up, but one man who never does is Reek. He could be wrapping over the ‘Xtreme Dinosaurs’ theme song and still sound the grittiest in the room. He’s always on his boss underworld shit, and performance is as savage as ever!

Instead of sounding awkward over these diverse beats, he reigns over them like the devil controlling gods earth with a sharp eye and a breath of fire! He’s always watching and always ready to smoke any song/verse that comes his way!

Once again, he’s rocking no features in this 12-minute massacre and doing so with cold-hearted precision, sharp lyricism, and wordplay so bloody you’ll be left stained for life. Listening to Reek perform is like walking through the toughest streets at midnight and hoping for the best.

It feels dangerous and raw and the kind of experience you couldn’t hope to forget! Even over this original score, his ruthless presence and overwhelming adlibs on the beats make for a most remarkable and relentless performance!

Once again, a massive W for the Osama. It seems no matter who he’s paired with, he can’t hope to fail! If you want to hear Reek like you’ve NEVER heard him before, then peep this!

(Blood On My Hands)

I’m so hyped to hear that this man is back! The legend himself. After reviewing his last record, which I’ve since categorised as one of my favourite wrestling-themed albums of all time! And now he’s back with

BLOOD ON MY HANDS

So, this is the latest album by MC Teek Hall and produced by the legendary Cee Gee! Together, they dropped eight tracks with one feature in -G1ToTheRescue, a close associate with Teek!

And I’ll start off by saying this: compared to the other album (3MB), this one feels a lot more of a balanced effort of (Wrestling/Hip Hop). The other one felt like a wrestling album with elements of Hip Hop, while this one feels like a rap album with elements of wrestling.

So that’s neither a positive nor a negative critic; it’s just an observation! You still have plenty of references and one-liners and phrases, as well as sample snippets of various things, but in no way as far as the other album took it!

The sounds on this record are absolutely beautiful and mastered to perfection (as expected from someone high in calibre as Cee Gee). The music itself is mesmerising, methodical, and surreal all in one!

I’m talking

-Ambient/Intricate Keys

-Light Drums

-Hypnotic vocal samples

-Synth chords

-Thick Bass lines

-Glossy keys

-90’s style cuts and scratches

It’s in these various elements where Cee works his magic and makes one of the most surreal moments in hip hop this year. The instrumentals are more on the ‘minimalistic’ side compared to a lot of shit coming out lately, but because of the quality of the producer, he’s able to utilise fewer sounds and make more!

As expected, Cee was able to bring a grand and polished flair to this record that very few other producers could match. This album feels lavish and rich in depth and detail, and it makes for a record I can foresee having tons of replay value to the listener!

Now, onto Teek. As I explained before, he’s toned down on the references a tad, but that doesn’t take away from his dope abilities as an MC, period, and he’s showcasing that across this project!

We get to hear his trademark eccentric personality and energy! His remarkable sense of timing and flexibility across the beats and his effortless approach to rhythm and lyricism across any topic and theme (not just wrestling) makes him a standout MC!

Even when talking about wrestling, he has a way of storytelling where you feel like you’re there in the room with him. You feel yourself transported into the situation he’s describing, and you can picture the events as if they were your own. His natural passion and conviction on the mic make every word he says feel larger than life and more colourful and flavourful than most other rappers in the industry!

I love to hear him go off on a track! He sounds like he’s giving a 2022 MJF Promo! He’s slick, sharp, and ever so cunning with these words while keeping the attention of the audience solely on him for the duration of the mic time! And when he drops the microphone, you can hear a pin drop!

He’s one of the most underrated and unique MC’s out right now, and to grab the attention of a legend like Cee Gee, it proves the point 10x fold. This man is bold and original, and we need more people like him in the industry! Go fuck with the album!

(The Beat Hashashin)

Now, I’ll admit going into this I had no idea what to expect. Based on this man’s previous music and the kind of creative mind he is, I was ready for anything. Needless to say, I was given what I was expecting, which was the unexpected! Let’s talk about it!

So, this is the brand new project by MC Ric Da Shadow. MC and accompanying him are producers

-Someone

-Studio 53e

-Ginsing

-Ana Logiik

-Promotheus.

And -Eclypse on the feature!

And across this nine-track album we get so much interesting music! For example, that intro sounded like pure musical art. Kind of like ambient techno. Real subtle and beautiful with those foreign whistling sounds that just made the whole overture such a breathtaking way to start a record! Loved that intro.

From there we get deeper cuts of more hip

Hop sounds such as track 2 ‘Locked In’ which reminds me of a badass French movie with a bank robbery scene!

It has these amazing what sounds like short and sharp violin chords alongside subtle bass drums and this other harmonious chord that is subtly heard going off in the background like a horn or something but either way combined together and this becomes a fantastic official track to kick the record off!

The third track ‘Samurai Soul’ is a return to what the intro brought to the table with those beautifully ambient and atmospheric music! You’ve got those long and sharp strings, minimalistic drums and this time around we have this choir-style vocals that are subtle yet powerful!

It adds a new layer of depth and surrealism to the track that I absolutely love!

This whole track is probably my favourite on the whole album because it’s both gritty and cinematic which is my favourite combination!

Even if we look at the fourth track ‘Subterranean Art’ it is pretty much exactly what the song says. It has the sonic equivalent of a beat made in the depths of the oceans!

It’s very moody, eerie, and has a creepy vibe with those haunting piano keys and what sounded like a scream or muffled voice in the chorus? Almost like a man trapped in the bottom of the ocean, which is like my nightmare come to life! This whole track, although scary, is absolutely theatrical in execution!

These four are an example of how profound and powerful the producers are in making an album that sounds less like ‘music’ and more like ‘a living, walking, breathing painting’. Absolutely incredible!

Now, to the man who’s responsible for rapping over these incredible beats, we have Ric. This man goes absolutely HAMMER on these beats, and it’s definitely something you have to hear to experience!

He has a certain level of charisma and enthusiasm to him that makes all bars so fucking eccentric and infectious to listen to!

His level of flow, engaging wordplay, and vivid lyricism has him standing out from most in the pack right now! I love how he puts so much emphasis on his words and the way he pronounces them! He doesn’t just say words; he speaks them into existence with power and conviction!

Depending on the aura of each track, he has the amazing ability to match the tone and theatrical energy of the songs, which is absolutely insane! He can synchronise with the beats given and become the perfect vessel for the MC role!

He’s the kind of guy who’s more capable of holding down a record by himself, and for the most part he does exactly that!

Man, this album was absolutely phenomenal! From that production to the MC work. This is a MUST LISTEN for all to listen to this year!

(Immaculate Conception Freestyle)

Well, we have an exciting development with this man’s career. In the form of a freestyle, furthermore in a freestyle form over a well-established dope beat! As I would say, ‘if you’re going to go for broke, go all the way!’ And he’s definitely decided to swing for the fences with this ridiculous beat, and to say he does it justice would be a severe understatement! Let’s talk about why!

So, firstly, the beat is the critically acclaimed beat by Harry Fraud (off the Ransom album Lavish Misery’s opening track), and the beat, as I’m sure you’ve all heard, features those smooth guitars, methodical drums, delicate keys, and the very subtle yet gorgeous vocal harmony that gives a breath of fresh air to the whole track!

It’s a beat that’s made its rounds since last year, so I’m sure everyone is already familiar with it, but still, it doesn’t hurt to give a quick refresher for the ones who haven’t heard it in a while!

Now, unlike the original, this time we have the MC Jhiakhana doing an organic freestyle over this classic beat, and boy does he GO OFF!

From the first bar to the last, it’s just epic one-liners, dope phrases, double entendres, and more! I love how many wrestling references there are! Especially towards the end! Double especially that last line ‘On my way to 8 figures, like that Charlotte flair lock’— perfect closer line.

On the wrestling bars side, he just sounds the best he’s sounded in a minute. He sounds confident and powerful! Re assured and sharp on the track! His flow is smooth, his energy supreme, and his charisma, enthusiasm, and conviction are all at an all-time high (especially for a free style).

I love the aura he’s riding on this track! I love how natural it feels. You can tell he’s reached a new pinnacle otherwise foreign to him, and from what I’ve heard is coming down the pipeline, I can’t be any more excited for what’s to come!

So, get off your seats, find this track on whatever DSP you use, and experience the magic!
