When you’re in the position to list iconic album series, especially in the underground scene where one album has the potential to make or break you, let alone a series of them! It would be absolutely criminal not to include this series in your ‘GOAT’ conversations, and with this latest instalment, there could be enough evidence to have this series appear at the top of that list! Let’s talk about it!

So, this is the latest third instalment of the collaboration between MC legend Flee Lord and Producer legend ETO. Both these men have contributed to causing shifts in the culture in their own right, and even more so together! Across this one, we have ten tracks with 29 minutes of content and features the likes of:

And let me tell you this. This album starts off MUDDY! That opening track ‘RA3 Intro’ is straight into that grimy, no-nonsense nature that these two are so notorious for, and from there, the album only gets more and more savage, intense, and gritty! 

Whether you’re talking about the single off the album ‘Kitchen’ featuring the ultimate bully himself, NEMS, providing that cutthroat performance to an already bloodthirsty production!

There’s tracks like ‘Digi Scales’, a guitar-heavy street anthem that features scattered heavy keys and a skeletal boom Bap so tough it will scramble any hater from even attempting to touch it!

But what makes this song stand out is the involvement of the real Mr. Hood Rich himself, Conway The Machine, who towers over this track like a man possessed and puts down a masterclass in his wordplay, iconic pen game, and murderous vocal tones!

We can even look at the track ‘Moral Of Struggle’, which is the one track off the album containing a more traditional and homage to the 90’s era of Hip Hop with those harrowing piano keys repeating back and forth for a raw, minimalistic East Coast feel track! 

What makes this track unique is the feature of Starz! This man gave what could be considered as the verse of his career! Absolutely amazing! 

The production is as grimy and ruthless as one could ever expect from ETO, it’s banging in all the right areas and absolutely vicious in execution and technique! God damn these beats went OFF!

Now, what would this series be without Flee Lord? The one-man tank that has proven time and time again why he’s one of the most important and dangerous figures in the underground for his in-your-face, dominant and powerful demeanour that leaves everyone else in the dust, and this one is no exception!

In this album, you can hear him in his prime performing a vocabulary massacre over these instrumentals with a consistency of a switchblade at a fire rate of a machine gun. As per usual, Flee Lord is no joke! 

His methodical verses haunt the tracks with ridiculous refined energy. Like the grime reaper dragging his scythe over the ground of his opponents with his unpredictable nature to pop off!

His iconic street bars echo all over these tracks, his sharp lyricism and pen game are second to none, and he knows it. You can hear his passion and confidence across the songs, with his swagger and studio cadence at an all-time high!

Even when rapping alongside industry legends, he has absolutely no problem with holding his own and maintaining his status, composure, and chemistry with the powerhouses, and it’s a wonder to hear!

This very well could be the best in the series so far! It’s dark, sadistic, banging, and lethal. The features are ridiculous, and the MC is in peak form; this album is NOT to be slept on!

(The Vibrant World Of a Baby Giant)

Talk about an album that exploded over the socials when it dropped. All my favourite MC’s and producers swore on this album that it was one of the best to come out this year, and so with that much faith injected into one album, I had to peep it! So let’s talk about it!

This is the May 2025 release by the collaboration of MC Red, Amandala, and producer AbbotJackson. I first discovered Red on his feature verses he did for Al Divino’s mixtapes, and since then, he’s been on my radar, and so when I saw he had a full-length album, I had to reach out with this 13-track, 26-minute magnum opus!

Now, I understand the hype; it’s real. Let’s start with the production by Abbot. This man has accomplished the feat of combining the beautiful world of jazz and classical with the cinematic and theatrical mastering to create one of the most breathtaking offerings this year has to offer! 

You can hear the organic and natural elements of this album. Those angelic jazz notes, with those crisp and light drum patterns.

Those ever-so-delicate piano keys and thudding bass to give it that extra layer of depth are absolutely stunning. In every single track, you can hear various levels of detail, mastery, and precision, making every sound you hear glow on a frequency and quality most albums don’t have!

I want you to picture an album like ‘The Low End Theory’ or ‘Midnight Marauders’ and remember just how grand that record felt. How they utilised those breathtaking jazz samples, and that’s exactly what this album does! 

This album really feels like they hired a multi-million-dollar live music orchestra to produce the sounds this naturally gorgeous. 

To say this album has soul and personality would be a grave understatement. I don’t remember hearing instrumentation this well executed in years; it absolutely blew me away and will without a doubt be on my replay list for the next few months!

Now onto Red. Thankfully, I already experienced his talent on the Al Divino mixtapes, which is the main reason I was so eager to hear him go off on a full length, and that’s exactly what happened! This man is a PROBLEM!

He has the whole package. He has high enthusiasm, strong lyricism, fluent flows, and sharp wordplay. Across these tracks, he slices through the beats, leaving nothing but fire in his wake as he drops his lyrical bombs all over the real estate of production! 

I love his methodical and surreal nature. You can hear his thoughtful insight across the bars and his sharpness in his pen game. He ain’t worried about none of that fake trendy shit; nah, he’s only here to showcase why he’s one of the dopest lyricists going right now!

Another point in this arsenal is the fact he did this whole project without a single feature! Just him and the producer. I fucking love and respect that; he’s literally saying ‘fuck you all, I don’t need none of you,’ and that is why he’s the one to beat!

This is definitely an album worth all the hype in the world! It’s fresh, lethal, and masterfully crafted! Definitely check it out!

(Graph Beats, Vol. 10)

I’ll be honest, I never thought I’d be this knee-deep into instrumental albums going into my website! It’s an area of music I haven’t been the most familiar with, but too many dope artists seem to be releasing them, so I had to review them, and today is no exception! Let’s get into it!

So, this is the latest beat tape by powerhouse producer GraphWize. A man I first discovered working with MC Bub Styles on the production, and since then I’ve been following his career, going to places I don’t see any other artist follow, and so with the anticipation of this new record, I had to check it out and see the hype behind it.

This project has ten songs with 24 minutes of run time. 

For those who are unaware, Graph is the kind of producer who isn’t content with just staying inside the box. Whether it’s working for others or showcasing his own music, he’s always looking for ways to push the boundaries and create something ‘original’, and I feel this one is definitely another example of his ever-evolving approach to the production.

This album doesn’t sound like your everyday ‘Hip Hop Beats’ because he utilises sounds and influences you just wouldn’t hear elsewhere and definitely not with the mastery that he’s performing with! 

I’d say, this album has a dreamy, closer to ASMR/Lo-Fi, and outer-worldly essence to it, with a lot of the beats having such a harmonic aura. There are a lot of angelic notes and chords. I love how you can hear those subtle keys just glistening in the background of most of the tracks, and whenever you hear those synth chords, it sounds like you’re listening to a montage to the 80s. It’s amazing. 

I love how he’s able to mix in experimental, jazz, soul, synth pop elements into the traditions of hip hop. It feels like he’s hijacking an empty hip hop skeleton and importing his own versatile ideas and influences to create an experiment to his liking.

Because for a lot of these songs, you do still have the trademark traditional hip-hop patterns and drum beats, but it’s what’s added and is going on inside that blueprint that makes all the difference in this project.

For example, you have tracks like ‘Pressure’, which sounds like the kind of score aliens who kidnap you would play in their UFO as they fuck with your body with those looming synth chords repeating in a trance-like state! 

Or the song ‘Night’, which sounds like an honest representation of its name because when I close my eyes, this beat sounds to me as if I’m walking through a forest in the dead of night, alone and pondering the weight of the world one step at a time.

This track has those acoustic guitars way off into the background with those deep bass lines, darkly melodic keys, and almost a folk influence to the track with that guitar.

Each song is representing something unique and special to itself. Each track has its own soul, characteristics, and personality waiting to be explored. Graph is such a rare artist that he can literally put life into the songs and make it feel as if you’re walking into someone’s flesh and blood as you explore the essence of the music in its most vulnerable and honed formations.

I knew this album would be good, but I wasn’t expecting this. From start to finish, this could very well be the most breathtaking 24 music you’ll experience all year.

(Water Proof Uzi’s)

An aspect of doing what I do and covering so many underground cats is to see which ones stand out and hold their own, whether that be lyrically or produce such a refreshing product that it’s seen in a different light than the rest, and I feel this project fits in that category! Let’s talk about it!

This is the latest album by MC Savage, The 3rd. A man who I’ve been blessed to discover as of today, and he comes with nine tracks, 21 minutes, and the likes of:

And I gotta say, this project really surprised me! If I had to describe the sound, it would have to be a ‘Street Motion Picture’ in music form. This thing is jam-packed with furious sounds, thrilling instrumentation, and an intense atmosphere that gives goosebumps all around your body!

From the opening track with those opening drum patterns, that evolved into that grimy, synth-filled, bass strings plucked so fucking deeply that it feels like you’re in an action movie right before the murder scene comes on! 

As the album progresses, that grimy, muddy soundscape continues and consistently evolves into darker, more violent motions as this record goes out of its way to present such an explosive and dangerous scenery that it’s impossible to look away from!

If I had to describe what this feels like to me, I want you to re visit the vibes and aura of the early Griselda mixtapes, back before the fame! Or even looking at a project from Mobb Deep in the early 90s when the production was unforgiving, relentless, and gritty in every sense of the word! This is how this album sounds to me, 21 minutes of savage production that will slap you in your face if you ain’t careful! 

As far as the rapping goes. He also impressed me on the MC front! What stands out about him is his methodical and aggressive approach to the bars. This ain’t about being the flashiest or fastest rapper but instead working on his precision, on sharpening his words and techniques to deliver the toughest bars possible and making sure his flow is deadly and fluent!

You can tell with each word uttered by Savage that he’s thought about what he’s going to say next, he’s spent time perfecting the bars and making sure everything sounds and is placed exactly where it should be.

I can hear the quality control in his voice alone. He has that natural enthusiasm and passion for this rap game and he’s mixed that in with his organic gutter tones and street cadence across the tracks that makes his voice rattle the beats he’s featured on!

I love the features he’s included as well! Although only three names, it’s just enough to provide that star power and showcase his ability to synchronise with others and show his chemistry but also not too overwhelming full of features where he damages his reputation to do the majority of the tracks by himself! I feel he’s found the perfect balance and all names go HARD!

Definitely an album you don’t want to sleep on! It’s intense, master-crafted and thrilling from start to finish!

(Things Will Never Be The Same)

This album title is as fitting as can be for this one as we see Titan of the underground make one of the biggest lane switches in his career thus far and with a notorious producer by his side to help with the shift, this is surely going to make noise in the culture! Let’s talk about it!

So, this is the brand new collaboration project between the two powerhouses MC and overlord figure Reek Osama & ground breaking producer Wino Willy who has produced your favourite rappers favourite albums in the past few years or more!

Together they drop a collection of tracks that refined and redefined what we knew about either artist and their capabilities!

Let’s first talk Wino. What is the biggest surprise is the softer and more melodic instrumentation for a Reek album. He did make various social posts regarding trying something different and so while this didn’t blind side me completely it’s still an eye opening experience to hear these sounds associated with someone like Osama!

We have those deep bass and luscious chords and delicate piano keys with some orchestral strings and beat notes that all come together in this ambient/lo-fi/atmospheric soundscape that is designed to relax the listener, put them in a state of calm harmony to just leave the worries at the door and sit back and enjoy a quality hip hop album.

Not only is this project harmonic but the instrumentation it self is crisp, it’s technical and mastered in elevating and composition. It’s trademark for Wino to turn any project he’s on into a masterpiece of intricate design and structure and makes any instrument/sample/genre glow unlike anyone else in the game right now. He’s the type of cat that can turn your average MP3 track into a Dolby Atmos level quality and when you add that type of ability to a delicate score like this one then the recipe can only result in a modern day classic!

Man, Reek Osama. This record may sound lighter than usual but he’s one man who definitely doesn’t. The type of MC that could perform on a children’s show and still make the program rated r for ruthless!

After a few listens of this album it almost sounds like he’s had a bad relationship with a woman and he’s using this album to get revenge. He sounds extra aggressive and it sounds pointed at someone! (Maybe it’s just me) but at least the first few tracks sounds targeted at a specific person! But regardless he’s back with his trademark muddy and grimy flow and lyricism with his notorious deep and in the trenches tone that always gives off this sadistic and lethal aura to every word he speaks! 

He navigates these calmer waters rather well considering his rough and rugged approach to his flow and delivery! Proving he can adapt with any environment and aesthetic and create a dope album out of it!  

He’s released 2 albums this year and I’d say his album is where he sounds most passionate and emotionally engaged! Whether that’s due to things happening in his real life I don’t know but there’s definitely a certain level of emotional response in his bars and I don’t hate it! We’ve seen many artists lately express themselves in a new light and there’s no reason he can’t too! Plus he sounds dope doing it which is the main thing!

Overall, I really can’t complain with this album. The production is flawless and the performance by Reek is as heartfelt and gruelling as ever has been

(Luc Lion)

I can’t believe how many albums I’ve covered in the last few weeks by this man. It seems the more I review him, the more I’m gravitated towards his work, and this one seems to be his most exciting so far! So let’s get about it!

This is the latest album by Producer Jazzy Lion Man, and this time he’s working with MC Lucai, a man I only discovered with this album! This album has 16 tracks and only 2 features:

Now, it’s no surprise that, as his name suggests, Jazzy is prone to gravitate towards the heavy jazz influences and samples (and on this one he does too), but on top of that, I feel a more grand and adventurous nature about him when it comes to this production because the sound is more fresh, crisp, and atmospheric than I’ve heard him since ‘Jazzy Fatu’.

You can hear those ambitious instrumental cuts, those delicate keys, intricate melodies, and plucked strings combined with those precision-based drum patterns and organic lo-fi elements over this album that feels like a theatrical rollercoaster ride with the most high-end equipment! 

Across this 29-minute album, you can feel the love, the dedication, the appreciation for the music itself woven into this record. You can tell Jazzy wanted to do something special and pull off an epic assortment of instrumentation and arrangements that all come together to create this magnificent score that is ‘LUC LION’.

For me, this newcomer was the perfect chemistry choice for the record. To say they matched each other’s energy would be the biggest understatement of the year! The way these two bounce off each other, MC to beatmaker, is some of the best I’ve ever heard! The entire album, Lucai was relentless, not even stopping to take a breath, just straight bars after bars! He was throwing one-liners, puns, double entendres, witty lyricism, and more!

He was on a mission to show the world what he can do, and he did just that. His flow was deadly, his wordplay even more! With lethal efficiency and accuracy and a pen game so strong that it makes most pale in comparison.

It’s not only his strength in rapping that is so talented, it’s how well he syncs with Jazzy. I’m talking every beat feeling like it was ripped right from Lucia’s brain on what he imagined the perfect beat would be, and Jazzy extracted it from the brain to the board and created it exactly how he wanted it! I’m not kidding, this pair is ridiculous. 

I’m so happy I was given the opportunity to check this out because it’s fucking fantastic. I can’t pretend I’ll have time to cover all of Jazzy’s frequent releases, but this one is definitely one for the record books!

(Olympus Has Fallen)

Not to be mistaken for that shitshow of a movie back in 2013 with Gerard Butler. But instead, we have a new project by Da Grand Hova and Oktane, and together they are

This latest album by the world consists of 19 tracks with just under an hour in length. The features include

Now, as I’ve had many experiences with Da Grand Hova, I knew what to expect when it comes to his production, and as expected, the instrumentation was beautifully crafted, larger than life, and yet ambient and even minimalistic at times in its execution.

There are a lot of influences here from

-Art Rap

-Soul

-Funk

-Experimental

-Classic Hip Hop

And what’s impressive is how he can utilise these different sounds on the different tracks without it sounding clustered, messy, or awkward! It’s all done in tasteful compartmentalism, and it sounds amazing!

I love how organised yet at the same time how various each song is. You’ll never know what to expect from one song to the next, and with almost an hour of content to go through, you’re guaranteed to find something you like!

Anytime he’s on the beats, he always goes out of his way to make sure each sound, note, string, chord, whatever it may be, sounds as grand and naturally organic and cinematic as possible. It’s hard to explain unless you listen to it yourself; it always sounds natural, and that’s one thing I’ve always appreciated about his work!

Now onto the MC work! As I should have expected, it’s equally as natural, smooth, and in its own divine way devastating! I hope someone gets this reference, but I would describe it as when Tanjiro from Demon Slayer fights demons! He’s the most kind-hearted and pure being in the world, but when he’s got his mind set on killing you, nice or not, you’re dead!

That’s the best way I can describe this. You don’t ever feel any malice or hateful energy off this record. No pointless thug braggadocio or drug talk, just straight, dope bars that shine aura! 

BUT, in the same breath, they are some of the dopest bars you’ll hear in the game, so they are sharp enough to cut through the competition! His bars are fluent along with his flow. His razor-sharp intellect weeds off the haters, and his perspective on his verses is refreshing alongside his introspective pen game to match the lavish production!

Yup, this album is definitely better than the movie.  Fantastic chemistry between the two with quality features! What more can you ask for? (If we are talking about the film, a lot more!)

(Cymandre 3000)

You know what they say, there’s a first time for everything and today I get the opportunity to review a remix tape. Featuring the works of Brycon & Maître D and the vocal performances of the legendary Andre 3000!

This is a 16 track project with various 3 Stacks verses used for the vocal performances and across this album we hear different interpretations and re imagined sounds of the classic songs we all know and love and so at the end of the day I feel this project is one to listen to with open hearts and ears of a major ‘what if’ scenario comes to life and we get to hear our nostalgia in a realistic new light. So how does it fair?

Featuring the works of Brycon & Maitre D and the vocal performances of the legendary Andre 3000 blended with interpolations of the incredible 70s funk outfit Cymande.

Honestly, I actually love a lot of these remixes. What these two did to dare I say ‘brighten up’ and experiment with already established sounds really comes to be sounding fresh, exciting and just overall original. I know some fans out there don’t like when an album or single is messed around with (and I’ll admit to having that mentality with some parts of my life) but when it comes to music and artists trying their hand at an new style and paying homage to the arguable ‘Greatest Of All Time’ of yesterday by putting an alternative spin on things I think that’s completely justified and okay!

For example the remix of ‘Mrs Jackson’ which features a more soulful and slower instrumental to flesh out the strong message of the song that might get lose in the originals infectiously rap pop style beat.

Or the track ‘Hey Ya’ which we already know has one of the pop heavy beat of the Outkast discography well in this one it’s more slower tempo, soul/tribal sounding. Not to say I’m the biggest fan of this switch around but that’s the purpose of this record! To listen with your ‘imagination’ first ears second. This is an opportunity to let your mind wonder and see what the other side would have sounded like.

At the end of the day, some will appreciate this for the creative venture this is and some will hate it for ‘messing with the originals’ either way it’s an interesting and unique take on some of the most iconic rap songs in history and I invite you to try this out with an open heart and mind!

(Train Spotting)

Talk about an anticipated album! This one has been rumoured since the start of the year! And now that it’s finally here, how does it hold up? Let’s talk about it!

This is the latest collaboration album between MC Rome Streetz and Super producer Conductor Williams. If you don’t count the ‘Death & The Magician (Dusted Edition)’ by DJ Muggs, then Rome’s last album was ‘Hatton Garden Holdup’ in 2024, produced entirely by Daringer. 

Since then, he’s been building up hype from international tours to a handful of different singles and now finally dropping this 14-track record with 33 minutes and featuring only two names: 

-Method Man

-Jay Worthy

I’ll let it be known here. I absolutely love Conductor Williams! I’ve been supporting him since his work on the majority of the Griselda release, as well as his fantastic ‘Conductor, We Have A Problem!’ 3-part beat tape series. His production has always been experimental, dark, hypnotic, and left-field.

His music always features otherworldly sounds and distorted chords and strings that make you feel like you’ve been kidnapped by a UFO, and this is the ASMR they play in their spaceship. It’s always an experience, to say the least, to listen to this work, and this album is no exception!

This album features the trademark, mystical, distorted, manipulated instrumentation combined with the occasional unfiltered music sample normally added at the start or end of the songs to give it that extra splash! 

The main aspect about Conductor’s instrumentals, regardless of the album he’s on, is that they all have the effect of hypnosis on the listener! He’s found a way to turn repetitive, loop beats into a kind of ritualistic experience where your mind is stuck in a trance from the first to the last track, completely gripped by the production. 

That’s the effect his music has, and it feels even more amplified across this project! If I had to choose my favourite track on this album, it would have to be ‘Joe Pesci’, not only because he’s one of my favourite actors, but the way that song loosely features the rhythm for Stevie Wonder’s ‘Visions’ off his classic album ‘Innervisions’. It was done so smoothly and beautifully handled that I couldn’t help but admire it!

Whether it’s his thrilling beat tapes or his notorious production features across every rapper from Rome to Drake! Conductor doesn’t know how to miss! 

Now, Rome. The man who has been rising up the ranks for the past few years now, and one I only started to pay attention to after his major Griselda release ‘KISS THE RING’. This man has been on everyone’s mind for a while now, and further proof of this is how much anticipation this album had based on very few facts of the release date leading up to it. 

The hype alone made us all patiently wait, and that’s mainly because of this MC Rome. 

This man has become the dictionary definition of ‘Brag Rap’ personified. You can expect with every Rome verse to be roasted, hear him boast about his women, wealth, rise, and career.  He ain’t scared about pissing people off by flaunting his success into the faces of the haters and even his contemporaries! He’s the man right now, and he’s going to tell you about it!

He has his trademark slick delivery and flow. His in-your-face gritty lyricism and cocky studio cadence. This level of energy and self-confidence is perfect for the ‘Griselda’ brand, and his top-notch pen game is evident here more than anywhere!

He proves his worth in the game by rapping alongside the legendary Method Man! Proving he’s not only worthy of sharing the track with him but showcasing his growth, talent, and sharpened skills! 

This album is as good as I was hoping it would

be! The production was flawless, and Rome proves once again why he’s the one running shit right now!

(ZINGCLOPS)

It’s incredible that there’s an artist out there where each new album I hear from him (old or new), I’m convinced it’s his best one yet! Very few artists have this level of consistency, and he’s one of them! So let’s talk about it!

This is the 2024 release by FEED THE FAMILY’s own Borirock. The man who has shifted the culture single-handedly with a list of albums in a row that defy all logic of being that good without a dud yet. We are talking a solid run from 2024 to now! And this is one of those albums, which includes 13 tracks with the features of 

-Al Divino 

-Top Hooter

-Estee Nack

-Shaykh Hanif

-Mickey Diamond

That is one solid roster to bring forth for this record, and with fellow FEED THE FAMILY member Tremendiss on the production, this was bound to be a modern-day classic!

The thing about Tremendiss is his ability to tune any sound, instrument, or aesthetic into something grand and cinematic. He could be recording an acoustic guitar album and somehow make it sound like a million dollars. With every album I’ve heard him produce, he always elevates the production to a new, unreached level of quality, grit, and supreme performance that turns a record into a masterpiece score. 

His attention to detail is second to none; across this album, he utilises so many different aspects such as raw vocal loop beats with skeletal hip

Even tracks like ‘COKE IN LOGAN’, which has these eerie organ keys that sound like a villain in a haunted castle playing a tragic melody in the dead of night! 

Each track on this album is different and equally masterful and engaging. It’s as if each track has a will of its own and takes over the soul of the listeners with its beautifully written beats and instrumentation! I ain’t joking, this is the best I’ve heard Tremendiss; if he ain’t one of the best producers out right now, I don’t know who is!

Now, onto Borirock. The man with enough energy and personality to fuel 100x artists and still have enough to drown in. The rap game really hasn’t seen a character like him, and it’s that wild, unpredictable aura that makes all his releases stand out for their replay value and entertainment factor!

On this album, he brings his trademark wavy vibes with his ridiculous levels of enthusiasm and passion on the tracks! The way he delivers his bars feels like fireworks on the tracks; it’s explosive, colourful, and loud! He ain’t never one to censor himself or sound lacklustre; it’s always 100 miles per hour speed or nothing!

Plus, his adlibs are always fascinating to listen to! It’s like a sonic adrenaline shot that pumps up the listener! The fact he’s on the track with Al Divino on most of these tracks should be illegal. Whenever they are both on a song, it feels like I just drank 5x energy drinks back to back; I’m always left with too much energy then I know what to do with! 

I also love how this album ends with a Mickey Diamond verse! Mickey and Bori are a match made in underground heaven, and it was the perfect way to close the album!

Also, I love the artwork, name, and intro skit to this album! How it’s about Cyclops (Scott Summers) being the best character! I personally prefer Wolverine, but I love the comic influence on this album!

Overall, another classic release by Bori! At this point, I’ve heard him work with five different producers, and he was fluent with all of them! The levels this man can adapt are ridiculous and skilled beyond comparison! Definitely an album you can’t miss out on!
