(Blue Tears)

This very well could be the pairing of a century. Two of my favourite artists coming together to create a timeless piece of art that will definitely be hard to beat! So without any more delay, let’s talk about it!

This is the brand-new album by MC BlueHillBill and Producer/Feed The Family member Tremendiss, and together it’s 12 songs, 30 minutes, and features

-Borirock -Kil The Artist, and fuck me is this the definition of a mesmerising album.

Let’s start with the production aspect first, with me saying this. Every single time I hear an album produced by Tremendiss, I can’t help but wonder ‘how’ as I’m left speechless at how he’s able to utilise either his immersive vocal loops or his cinematic instrumentation. He makes everything he touches sound like sonic bars of gold that leaves a burning impact on the listener, and no more of a finer example can be found than on this one!

So many instances where I was left sat back in my chair thinking to myself ‘This guy is a madman’. I mean, literally every single beat I can’t imagine working unless Tremendiss is the one working them! That intro track -Everyone Dies? With that haunting and emotional vocal loop that eerily resonates with those methodical piano keys and plucked strings!

With such a small amount of layers, he’s able to create tragedy in a bottle.

There’s that gorgeously layered track -Chasing Ghost with that soulful vocal loop? It reminds me of Luther Vandross the way the singer delivers that smooth and crisp note that he wraps around the entire song!

That’s combined with some slow-paced drum patterns and swaying chord progressions with a slight tweak of guitar strings! The first time I heard this one, I was blown away; could very well be Tremendiss’s most beautiful instrumental yet!

The song -Trauma gave me a strong late 1960’s/1970’s vibe with that Grease era vocal loop that is accompanied by those distorted chords, thudding bass, and some nice and rhythmic drums! This one had a more laid-back and smooth

Vibe to it compared to some of the others!

BUT if I had to tell you all the one beat I heard on this one that made me go ‘wait WHAT!’ was the song -Maya Angelou that one left me speechless! Besides that Ali intro this one has what I can only describe as magical. It’s simply shimmering keys in a purely hypnotic manner that’s mixed with some tuned bass! This sounds like the kind of instrumental a shaman would play to get you in sync with your spirit and soul! The fact that he chose this as a beat to rap on is wild AND IT SOMEHOW WORKS!

Of course the second part to this equation is my main man BLUEHILL! A man we’ve already seen drop a standout release with producer WHOA1.0 and now he’s back to reclaim his spot on top working with another premium beat maker. As I’m sure I’ve said many times before Blue has utilised his one-of-a-kind voice, pitch, and rhythm to separate himself from literally everyone else to the point where you can identify his verse as soon as it starts!

Whether we are talking his infectious adlibs with the ever-so-unique ‘I Love you’ which I’ve never heard used in a gangsta rap setting. To his ridiculous manipulation of his wordplay where he can string together sentences like raw dough and twist, shape, and form it into any possible combination and position he sees fit on the beat!

On this one he drops a lot of heartfelt personal moments such as the case on tracks like -Trauma where on the same song he drops this cold bar -I had (tremendous) trauma selling rocks in the streets to feed my fucking family that shit had me making the S5 Homelander disgust face!

The fact is, Bluehill can mix any concept of vocabulary together and make it work, like on the final track talking about -eating caviar pancakes what a wild concept! Lowkey sound disgusting but fancy at the same time!

He drops gems like this constantly, he’s a man who leaves hundreds of quotes per album. From -I watch Godfather twice a year keep my mind sharp to -Dreams of meeting Scarface in studio 54

He’ll just be saying the most outlandish yet boss lines you’ve ever hear in your life and do so, so casually it’s unbelievable. Of course he’s not alone on this one as he brings with him top tier talent from Bori to Kil The Artist as they come into drop pure fire on the track!

I found Bori’s verse a lot more compelling and serious then I’m use to hearing from him which was a nice touch of something different and Kil properly murders that finale track talking about how he’s riding in the same car they killed biggie in! Savage

If this duo wasn’t compelling to you from the name stake alone, when what are we even doing here? Two of the strongest men in the industry today and they are only getting better with age! Peep it down below!
