Looks like we are back with a man who, although a recent discovery, is one that I found extremely compelling with his style and approach. Now he’s back with a brand-new single that’s ready to set the month on fire just because of the end! Let’s talk about it!

This is the brand-new single by MC LOZEE and producer Brokenfinga, and together they drop a solid three minutes and ten seconds of pure, unfiltered, and undeniable hip hop that seems to be paying homage to the old school!

Let’s start with the rhyming patterns on this one because, just as I described with the beat, I feel LOZEE is making a verbal statement and declaration that he’s a product of the golden era, and he’s trying to bring that same quality back into the new school, and he does it with buckets of style and charisma!

I loved the way he inherited the GOATS, such asStyles P,Guru, Jay-Z,Nas. He has the same passion and confidence behind his words; each bar feels impressive and, most importantly, IMPORTANT, not just throwaway bars for the sake of them. He’s headstrong with a talent for cooking dope bars with supreme penmanship, and for a moment, it did feel like I was transported back into the 90s or very early 2000s with this one!

The beat is also reminiscent of this fact as we are given an incredibly luscious beat that consists of heavy, mind-blowing drums, plucked strings, magnificent chord progressions, as well as some light keys that all come together to recreate the magic from, as they say themselves, ‘From the era of mixtapes when DJ’s were great! This really does feel like a blast from the past to that era, and you can see the soul inside the instrumentation! 

The purity of this track is insane. He’s someone who is bringing the same love and energy that was commonplace but now sadly is rare to see. Although the beat is trademarked, it’s something refreshing and awe-inspiring to hear something of this calibre in the new day, and Broken did one hell of a job!
