In the beginning, there was pure Codenine and hidden characters. So said the trap lord. Only the realest were invited to partake in the first feast. This was also known as 

THE FIRST SUPPER 

This is the brand-new album by the culture kingpins 23 Incredible, and it features their prime talent in -??? x CODENINE, and together they come packed to kill with the likes of

And with these beat gods on hand, this duo returns to make underground miracles the likes the world hasn’t seen since the days of Jesus. I’m talking about that heavenly distribution of powerful chemistry and performances that will turn water into bricks! Feed the 5000 fiends with just the two ZINGERS! They are out here doing the impossible while the rest of you still doubt what’s right in front of you!

The two heavyweight verbal apostles come one hand on the ghetto Bible, the other on the Glock in case shit pops off. When they’re in the booth together, not even a fucking anaconda could persuade them to eat no apple; they stay in that culture garden and made it their mini mansion! 

But for real, I loved their chemistry together. I can’t believe they decided to go this hard on the overkill to have these two bosses on the same album! It’s like listening to non-stop KO shots hitting you over and over again without any rest! These two have already dominated their fields separately, so to imagine this sonic calamity that is this partnership is the definition of ‘the apocalypse come to life’. 

They are literal brothers at this point. They finish each other’s bars, have the same thought processes, and come without any hesitation on the mic. It’s insane the fluency behind the two of them and how easily one can finish the verse after the other starts!

If you’re new to either of these two men, you need to understand that usually if you have either of these two on a track, it’s a tall task and more to expect the other artist to match the verse just performed! That’s how solid these two are, but they match each other’s gritty charisma and energy to a tee, and to hear it across 11 different tracks is absolutely insane! It’s like listening to lyrical purity on a level none of us have ever heard prior! 

And of course, there are no features on this one. Why the fuck would there be? Who can be expected to match the two bar for bar? I’ll tell you, NO ONE. They are in a league of their own, and they prove it on this one! This is the kind of synchronicity you could listen to for hours and never get sick of! And I mean that with all my heart! 

I ain’t gonna lie, the production surprised me on this one! Not in the quality aspect, I had no doubt each track was gonna be absolutely stellar, but in the actual sonic influences! I was expecting non-stop bloodthirsty murder beats! (And there is definitely a lot of that), but there’s also more mellow/Jazz heavy takes which I fucked with just as heavily!

For example, track 2 -FOREIGNEXCHANGE, as we hear another ridiculous beat by -BONEWESO with the combined efforts of those luscious Jazz horns, rhythmic drums, scattered hi hats, and then the later introduction of those ambient-style chord progressions that make me feel like I’m listening to an alternative universe version of -A Tribe Called Quest! 

We have tracks like -ONEWAYTICKET, which is produced by -cedarlaw$, which has a heavy soul feel with those gorgeous piano keys in two different layers and that light angelic vocal harmony in the background and that thudding drums and plucked bass! A rather minimal track, but it feels like you’re in a whole new dimension! It’s good to see Cedar in the spotlight like this again; he’s one of the most underrated producers in the game!

The outro track as well I wasn’t expecting to be mellow -SUPERSAYIN’ produced again by -BONEWESO as we hear this combo of long and smooth Jazz horns, hypnotic plucked strings and light keys in the background that makes me feel like I’m teleported to the 70’s in how the atmosphere feels! 

I’m glad they actually included a variety of sounds and instrumentation across this tape. This just further proves the versatility of these two MC’s who show that they can rap on anything and make it a must listen!
