We are so back with this brand-new single! It’s been a minute and a half since I last covered this MC, but trust that he’s still going strong and continues to benefit the culture as this track obviously proves!
This is the brand-new track by MC CboiDaSauceGod, produced by -Midas, and features -RC SPACED, and this trio combined creates an unexpectedly smooth ride that you’ll want to keep re visiting over and over again! Let’s discuss why.
First of all, let’s talk about the MCs because Cboi kicks things off with a bang. I forgot how fluent and immersive he can be when he’s in that zone! Depending on the mood of the track is what determines what type of performance you’ll get from him, and on this beat, which blends soul and trap, we get a combination of the lavish and brash side of Cboi that helps showcase his skillful rhythm, his way with words, his organic charisma, and his fluency when it comes to the placement of his bars!
The secondary addition in the form of -RC SPACED did his job well too! He had a more in-your-face, rugged demeanour that fit well with the trap side of the beat that I appreciated. From his raw bars to his swift and sharp style on the mic, he added a nice complement to Cboi’s verse and overall created some fantastic chemistry!
As far as the beat goes, that’s the real star here (in my opinion) as we hear -Midas unlock a higher realm of consciousness with that angelic introduction with those chipmunk-style soul voice samples that feel echoing and like they’re submerged underwater alongside these light piano keys!
This song suddenly erupts around the 27-second mark with those heavy and abrasive drum and bass additions to the keys!
This is more of a mellow meets trap experience that I fell in love with immediately on first listen. The combing of the two worlds ‘Delicate X Gritty’ and coming together in the powerful atmosphere that it did left a huge impression and made me come back over and over again!
