We are back! This MC is back. He’s been on quite an intriguing run this year from the plentiful singles to a record with Mike Martinez! He’s definitely doing something right to appear on everyone’s radar, and that includes mine. So how does his new single fare? Let’s talk about it!
This is the brand-new single by MC LOZEE with production from -ASTRO BOY, and together they come equipped with two minutes and 28 seconds of sonic meal that will keep you well fed with bars and tough beats!
On this one, we have ASTRO bringing to life a theatrically heavy instrumental that has these absolutely luscious strings that have a beautiful high pitch to them that brings a cinematic feel to the song!
This is also accompanied by some rhythmic drum patterns, thick bass, and a light use of vocal harmony that comes every ten seconds or so that gives a bit more texture to an already in-depth song!
Once again, we have LOZEE, who at this point has given the culture some of the most thought-provoking bits of verses we’ve had so far. The thing is, with each new single passed, we get to see and hear a new side of his mind, what he’s thinking in the moment of the booth, and how he can craft said emotions and thoughts into useful bars!
That’s the biggest part of him that I enjoy! Sure, he has great natural charisma and genuine talent in his technique, but the fact is, he doesn’t use the same story twice.
It seems he’s always trying to provide us with something new and compelling to tell us, the audience, with each new verse shared, and that’s something I can hella respect! He’s writing every new sentence thinking ‘What can I say on here that I don’t say last time’ and that mentality alone is special!
Now, whether he’s actually consciously thinking that or not, I don’t know, but that’s how I feel whenever I hear him!
