(Just A Sample)

After a strong showing in the first project I covered, I had nothing but high hopes for this man. A man who has an intriguing style and one who has a bright future ahead! How did this new one go? Let’s talk about it!

October record by MC Big V with production by Illin’ Noise, and together they drop eight tracks, 18 minutes, and the likes of

-Milly McJaggurr

-Synse

-Concept (shoutout to the main man)

-Geda

-Avokid

-Jimari

And with this set of roster (all but one I’m familiar with), come together, and right away, if we are talking about the aesthetics of the record, I fell in love instantly. Why? This album sounds like it was ripped straight from the realm of the early 2000s with the combination of Crunk, Soul Samples, and East Coast Gritty beats/West Coast G Funk vibes that make me think of artists like

-Kurupt

-Jay-Z

-DMX, etc.

Across this production, we are greeted with a variety of different samples and influences that feel like a homage paid to the old school. For example, we have tracks like

‘Aisle Seats’ which has a strong DMX feel to it, something off his second record ‘Flesh Of My Flesh, Blood Of My Blood’. You can hear that theatrical violin strings combined with that heavy bass and rhythmic drum pattern that is built for only the strongest lyricists to go OFF on!

Or if we look at the track ‘Ready’, which is something I’d hear Hova on in his early career! You’ve got those gorgeous vocal harmonies in two aspects. One acting as a choir, the other as an actual chorus sample!

On top of that, we have those thudding drum patterns, and as minimal as this beat sounds, it’s absolutely angelic in execution and takes me back to the golden 90s/2000s.

Or even if we look at the track ‘Point Em Out’, which is prime Kurupt feel! It’s the most G-Funk inspired track on the whole record, and it’s fucking phenomenal!

You’ve got those classic funky plucked bass lines that make me think of Parliament! On top of that, drum patterns that make you want to groove your body to the beat! Probably my top two instrumentals on the record! Since I love Dr. Dre, I feel his spirit is inherent in this track!

All this to say that this producer has executed a soundscape so strong that it becomes undeniable his skill and mastery of the production!

Once again, with the artistic direction of Big V, we see a level of charisma and conviction that is rarely seen in the business today. What separates his work from others is his creative and original approach on the mic while maintaining the old-school techniques and cadence of the legends while putting his own fresh spin on things!

Across this album, we hear V showcasing an even stronger performance than previously. He sounds stronger, more confident, more energetic, and less humble as he’s come to realise he’s a one-of-a-kind MC that most can’t touch!

The fact that he’s utilising only 18 minutes and still being as explosive as he was is nuts! His wordplay and vocabulary are solid, his flow is smooth and fluent, and his pen game is just as ruthless and relentless as it was the first time I discovered him!

I’d say this time around (as I briefly mentioned), he’s lost his sense of humble attitude and letting his natural swag, aura take control and let that speak for him! He’s showing a new side to him, one that can’t be ignored or tossed to the side and slept on! One that will leave you with sleep paralysis if you try!

The features for the most part are fantastic, and the chemistry is fire! The only part I didn’t like was on the track ‘Power’, the auto-tune singing I wasn’t a fan of, didn’t suit the track. But besides that, the rest of the track is good! And I guess he did say ‘I can’t sing but I’ll try anyway’, but still, I could have gone without it!

But that’s the only negative I can say about it!

Another solid record by Big V, and incredible beats by Illin’ Noise, and their chemistry is undoubtedly strong as well as the features! Go check out the record below!

(I’m My Own Muse)

It’s always an exciting moment for me to go back to an artist I’ve only heard once prior and see what they come up with next! With this artist specifically, I remember how dope I found the first album I coveted, and so I walk into this one with high expectations and an eagerness to see what he’s going to present us with next! So let’s talk about it!

This is the brand-new EP by MC Thought Provokah and production by the likes of

– Da Verse

– Kash Flow

– DJ Glibstylez

– buddy minnelli

And across this six-track, 17-minute project, we get a more developed and introspective look into a man’s soul who had already presented us with an extensive experience on his last album, but this one feels like a brief yet powerful expression of perspective, identity, and reflection on levels we didn’t have in the first one.

On this one, we hear him utilise the short time to maximise the power and impact of his words and meanings. Once again, talking as no one else in the world is around except himself. He has a level of rapping that sounds less like an art form and more like a man alone with his own thoughts, just thinking out loud and letting his natural ideas be the candidate for the bars.

Despite this lack of ‘MC structure’, he still showcases things like fluent flow, verbal excellence, fantastic enunciations, and vibrant dialogue and in-depth analysis that makes you feel like you’re listening to the best author you’ve ever heard!

He makes his verses feel so organic that it feels like I’m listening to a spoken word album with dope beats other than your standard record. Another confirmation of this is the lack of features! (I can’t remember if that was the case for the first one), but regardless, it presents a further push into that ‘speaking out loud’ theory with no other voices to hear but his.

As I just said above, this album does indeed contain dope beats that manifest themselves across four beat makers that come together to create one of the most soulful experiences I’ve heard yet!

Each man presents a different and charismatic offering of killer production that almost feels ‘Christmasy’ in the way it’s executed.

The instrumentals that stood out to me are as follows. We had the opening track ‘Solitude’ with this beautifully delicate ambient jazz style beat that warmed my heart! You’ve got those light and subtle piano keys that combine with those infectious free-lance jazz horns and super light drums that give a strong Herbie Hancock vibe!

Combine this with Thought’s exquisite performance and this is literally the PERFECT intro! I also love how there’s about 30 seconds of instrumental with no vocals that helped focus the beat even further!

‘9th Wonder Little Brother’ (the third track) was another adoring track that I couldn’t resist. It was so fucking smooth! You had that funky drum pattern, that soulful vocal harmony loop as well as those screeching (what sounds like sharp violin strings) that give a bursting texture to the track!

This is definitely a track I expect Common to rap on and give that to the abilities of Thought and it becomes an instant classic!

Another track that stood out to me was ‘Slick Talk’. This track has an almost acoustic feel to it. It has a very smooth, surreal and atmospheric sound to it that I feel in love with. You’ve got those  light vocal loops with those subtle drums and plucked chords that sound glitchy but suit the type of vibe for this song!

This is the type of track you’d listen to while getting a hot chocolate ready sitting by the fire and relaxing after a long day at work! A more soothing experience for the listener!

All in all, the combination of the phenomenal production to the MC performances it all came together in such a magical way that it felt like (in the hip hop sense) they brought the spirit of Christmas to the front door! Go listen and see what I mean!

(MicTronics)

I’ve always said it. Discovering new talent in my line of work is one of my favourite things, and especially when that someone has such a rich background and history of the hip hop genre under their belt that it proves their level of passion and conviction for the game. With that in mind, I present to you.

MICTRONICS

This is the brand-new record by Afro Latino MC Mic Mountain and producer Tronbeatz, and together they drop a stellar 10-track project with the likes of

-CrDnlSn

-Thirstin Howl the 3rd

-The Bad Seed

And with this trio of characters to help elevate the record, we set the foundation for what is surely going to be remembered as one of December’s best efforts!

If we start with the discussion on the MC work, I can safely say that Mic has one of the most interesting and memorable performances I’ve heard all year!

This man feels less like a traditional MC and more like an eccentric author who is utilising his hip hop poetry in a colourful and engaging way that very few people (if any) are able to replicate!

From the very opening track, we hear his passion, his conviction, and most importantly, his individuality, where he spits bars sounding like the biggest hip hop fan you’ve ever heard who maintains his excitement and enthusiasm for the art that is converted into his delivery on the mic!

Across the album, he has a sort of free-lance flow where it’s not exactly traditional in execution (as in not uniform) but not exactly all over the place. He’s more of a Biz Markie meets Phife Dawg! He has the creative and explosive approach like Biz but the masterful technique and confidence of a Phife, and combined, you get a whole new monster!

I was obsessed with his ability on the mic. His unique flow, his aura-filled pen game, his obvious learned and skilled verbal techniques, and his timing, setting up bars, one-liners, puns, storytelling— all of it! He’s mastered every aspect of his rap shit, and he’s here to flaunt it!

Of course, we can’t ignore the features on here. I’m only familiar with my main man, The Bad Seed, but the other two do a fantastic job at elevating their said tracks and improving the record rather than just being there for feature’s sake!

Phenomenal chemistry between all three, and of course, Mic holds his own against those talented MC’s and maintains the energy of the overall record! Still, my favourite feature would have to be Seed! He’s a legend in this game and reinforces that on this one!

As far as the production goes. We hear Tron Beatz deliver in a big way! It wouldn’t be easy to create a soundscape for an artist as unpredictable and explosive as Mic Mountain, but Tron understood the assignment and delivered spectacularly on this record!

First of all, the production has this interesting and intimate blend between late 80s and 90s old-school hip-hop feel mixed in with present-day boom-bap underground rawness that somehow come together for the perfect blend.

For example, we have tracks like ‘Back In The Day Pt. 2’ which has an obvious old-school flavour with that ‘A Tribe Called Quest’ sample loop for the chorus that is accompanied by those heavy thudding drums, what sounds like distorted jazz horns, and then some light synth chords and some intricate cut and scratches as the song progresses!

There’s the song ‘Got That Motion’ which has a more delicate/ambient feel to it compared to the first track described, which reminds me more of the boom-bap influence!

We have those delicate piano chords, those plucked strings, as well as subtle drum patterns and these independent strings that run throughout the whole track in an almost free-will motion that gives this track an extra layer of energy!

Another track I loved was ‘Broken Glass’ which I feel truly defined that boom-bap shit. I’d say the coldest song of the whole list. Nothing but heavy and minimal drums combined with sadistic bass lines and very subtle keys.

You can’t find a better instrumental for Seed to go off on and as I described above he absolutely nailed his part!

As we get to the chorus there is this almost avant- grade instrument section that sounds all over the place but in an infectious way! Almost like the way the Beatles ended the track ‘A Day In The Life’ pure artistic brilliance.

In closing. Everything from the memorable performances to the elevated production and the features chosen. No filler on this album just pure talent and atmosphere. You’d be hard pressed to find a record more authentic this whole year! Check it out for yourself below!

(Absoulution)

A trend I’ve been noticing is the range of horror albums. Of course, you had your trademark Halloween records that fit the theme, but outside of that, there’s still a nice handful of projects that have that unique dark edge to them, and I gotta say I fuck with them heavily. And with that in mind, let’s get into this bloodthirsty mess that is the definition of

ABSOLUTION

This is the brand-new record by MC Absoulut Karnage and Producer Edd Bundy with a strong set of ten and the likes of

-Fubar

-Hi-Q

-Jake Haw

-I.N.F

And with this range of talent holding down the feature forts, we have a record that is every bit as entertaining, impressive, surreal, and deadly as I expected it to be!

If we start from the production standpoint, it really hits home just how diverse and unique a beatmaker can be who can somehow add a range of different genres and influences and yet still keep the project cohesive and fluent!

For example, we have that intro track ‘Out For Blood’ which sounds like a boosted horrorcore instrumental with those orchestral choir elements, what sounds like heavy-handed violin in the background, and such thudding drums that it almost comes out of the headphones alongside those intricate piano keys!

It presents as the interlude of pain and terror

but then to everyone’s surprise, we get to track two ‘No Fucks Left’ which has this tongue-in-cheek, acoustic feel to the song that is a complete hard left turn from the opener that it’s crazy!

You’ve got those acoustic guitar strings as well as those deadly drums that work in that two-step motion that is satire in every direction possible!

Then if we even look at the track right after that ‘Bad Angry Nuke’ we have this almost vampiric feel to the song! You’ve got those haunting organ keys, sharp violin, and once again terrifying drums that act as a skeleton for the track!

This is the kind of song I’d expect Count Dracula to pimp walk to when he leaves his castle!

Every song has its own specific flavour and meaning, and yet all have a purpose and reason for existing in the track, and that’s something that isn’t easy to do, yet just like Ted, he’s going to bet on himself (even when everyone else is strongly against it) and will go down in history for it!

As far as Absolut goes, he’s given the chance to try and replicate the intense power and approach of the production, and to say he achieved the goal is the biggest understatement I could give!

Across this project, we hear him at his most chilling, completely void of emotion and empathy, as he murders the beat!

This man is so savage he doesn’t need to be Cletus Kassady to wreck havoc with his carnage symbiotes. Fight to be HIM, his verbal Venom Knull any other competitor in the game as he continues to Marvel and stunt on the rest of the game!

When I was listening to this record, I was nothing short of addicted to the way this man utilised his wordplay, his fluent flow, his disturbing charisma, and his deep/in-depth lyricism that has such an aura that every word feels like a stack of bricks!

In so many occasions, you’ll listen to a horror-themed record and find they are just repeating the same corny, outdated, and cringe bars and performances (ICP, for example), but no, in this occasion, he’s actually bringing refreshing rhythm and personality to his bars that make them so addictive to hear!

As I mentioned above, he brings a small host of familiar names to the forefront to act as his click. Maybe they aren’t Shriek, Chthon, Knull, Maker, or Magneto, but they are from their own sinister 6 that got more on their minds than petty spiders!

These men have such a villainous chemistry that oozes throughout the whole record and quite any haters by showcasing dope and aggressive verses and sounds that will shake you to your core!

They say there are only two absolutes in the world:

-Death

-Taxes

Well, now add -ABSOULUTION to the list because this victory is nothing but inevitable!

(Ronald Reagan Sold Crack)

Man, I can’t even lie. This man has to be the most entertaining artist I’ve come across in 2025. He’s like my perfect combination of traits for a rapper: from his heavy conspiracy lyricism to his quirky and creative nature, he has everything that attracts me to an artist, and once again, I’m covering a project I never thought I would be!

This is the brand-new album by MC 4-IZE, and this time it’s produced by drugs_Beats, and together they drop an explosive 12 tracks, 36 minutes and the likes of:

-AOS

-Flash E Williams

-Daylyt

– Señor Kaos

-Headkrack

-Tommy Nova

-C-Red

-Minister Server

-J.Reu

And with his list of heavy-hitter accomplices, they release an album that is no-pull punches, uncensored, and directly influenced and targeted at the main in the title ‘Ronald Reagan’.

Now I’ll tell you all, I am the biggest conspiracy theory advocate I know! Anytime anyone brings up topics that challenge the status quo, I’m here for it, and that’s why as soon as I saw this project, I was here for it!

One thing I’ve come to absolutely love about 4-Ize is the fact that he’s like a genetically enhanced beast that is not only one of the strongest and most technically sound MC’s I’ve ever seen

but also one who can use his skills to centre around conspiracy and heavy topic themes without it sounding awkward, forced, or cringy! He’s the full package as far as I’m concerned, and he sounds better than I’ve heard him on this one!

There’s no pulling punches with this man; his lyrics are clearly pointed at Reagan, and he uses the whole of the 36 minutes to dig him a new one with insane verbal intensity, unreal charisma, sharp lyricism, and considering his topic matter, a flow that is out of this world!

Keep in mind he stands toe to toe with the likes of DAYLT and doesn’t falter! That should speak volumes to what he’s capable of in the booth, and his verses are as interesting as they are cold, bloody impressive!

I love more than anything when a record has a specific concept/theme attached to it, and this is the ultimate example of that! I was listening to the lyrics and performances as I would my favourite conspiracy theory podcast (shoutout Warmode), and alongside the features who absolutely NAILED their parts and elevated this hit piece to a whole new level, left this album to be one of the most entertaining and enjoyable I’ve heard all year!

Speaking of the production side of things, to match this kind of record, you need a score that’s cinematic, dramatic, and surreal to match, and drum beats pulled it off in a PHENOMENAL way!

This record plays out like a symphony of big sounds with booming instrumentation, bordering on electric in presentation!

That kind of music you hear on heavy subject documentaries with the loud instruments and suspenseful effects to draw out the maximum amount of energy and intensity from the songs, and I had a fucking blast!

I was literally forced to sit up right when I was listening to this record due to the execution of both the performances and the production! It’s like when you watch Godzilla and you hear that thrilling score that lets you know he’s arrived on the scene and shits about to get real.

Times that by a thousand, and you get this where there’s never a break period from the suspense, the audience left engaged as he uses his sonic prowess to stab a knife straight through Reagan’s image and character and expose him for what he really is!

36 minutes of explosive and deadly instrumentals that hit you right in the soul and leave you entranced until the record is over! The way he’s able to properly handle the features and find the right beat to execute them, as well as the unrivalled ability of 4-Ize, it’s not an easy task, and yet he does it without a hiccup!

I’m not kidding, I loved every second of this album! From Sonics to performances. The features to the concepts, it’s all perfect in my opinion, and I ask you all to give it a chance below!

(No Thanksgiving Pt .2)

A bit overdue, but happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the US! As I live in Australia, we don’t celebrate it, but I’ve always wanted to try Thanksgiving food; it looks amazing! Either way, with that out of the way, let’s talk about this new track!

This is the brand-new track that’s both performed and produced by artist God Gotti! A man I’ve had extensive experience with over 2025, discovering him earlier this year and haven’t looked back since, and even featured on a skit for one of his EP’s we go back!

But on this track, he wants to focus on a sequel! One that is banging in every sense of the word, with a beat so tough that it would cause you to mean-mug the world and have you bumping your neck till it hurts!

This track reminds me of a prime 50 Cent or prime Hova track! You’ve got those stadium-style horns that sound like you’re listening to the Super Bowl halftime band! On top of that, we have those infectious drum patterns as well as those light synth chords that give that extra level of substance across the song!

I feel a strong mainstream era, radio-heavy track that’s equal parts Lucius and raw! Definitely one of my favourite instrumentals yet; by God Gotti, he absolutely killed this one!

Of course, as the one who made the track, he goes OFF on this! Back on his no-nonsense, in-your-face, no filler type shit. I hear a verse that takes me back to the first time that I discovered the man! I’m talking about that powerful, in-tune, preacher-type aura that he gave off!

The type of energy where he would walk into the room, and they all stop and listen! I love it when he returns to his speaking from the soul style because it suits him so well!

We get a verse filled with charisma and raw emotions. He’s got his smooth and sharp flow with a lesson on verbal cues and wordplay that’s smart, introspective, and personal. He sounds like he’s out here just dealing with his current problems and unloading his mind onto the track, which makes the verse feel that much more rich and dynamic!

I love when he says – If you say that you love me, hope they see you cry.

That is a tough line and speaks to the truth of his mindset going into the booth! He’s out here showing everyone what he’s capable of when he locks in, and let me just say that it’s exceptional!

Another solid single by the god himself from that golden early 2000s beat to the authentic lyricism. This is one that I want everyone to experience at least once! So click on the link below!

(Brown Body Bags)

Based on the name alone, this record gave me goosebumps. From who the MC and producer were, I was already hooked. Some artists are so groundbreaking that they can generate hype before the music is played, and this is definitely one of those cases!

Let’s get into it!

This is the record by MC and Umbrella Collective’s own Daniel Son, with notorious producer Body Bag Ben, and together they drop a huge 10-track record with the likes of

– RJ Payne

– Jay Royale

– ETO

– Kobe Honeycutt

And man, as soon as I pressed play, I couldn’t help but mean-mug. This is the level of chemistry we need to hear! I’m pretty sure to most, this was bound to be an instant hit, but to actually hear it fortified that feeling 10x fold.

If we are talking about the production side of things, we hear Body Bag taking us through a masterclass of that underground boom-bap shit! A sound we are all familiar with at this point, but when someone of his calibre does it, it becomes a cinematic score that none can follow!

This whole record feels like a long, fluent song that is a sonic portrait of street poetry, adversity, violence, and ultimately rise and success! This production plays like a ‘rags to riches’ film where we are taken on a sonic tour of the mud and dangerous street corners and the adversity that comes with it!

There are certain tracks that stand out to me, such as ‘Brown Body Bags’, that intro track is undeniably relevant! That track has one of the most cold and chilling beats I’ve heard in a minute!

You’ve got those haunting piano keys, heavy drums, 90’s style cuts and scratches, and this consistent droning chord that plays throughout the whole track!

Another track, ‘War Cry’, is fucking insane. This track gives me a 1940’s PTSD turned into hip-hop form. As if you’re taking a glimpse into the torn mind of Oppenheimer himself!

You’ve got those intricate piano keys going off in that loop! You’ve got those sharp synth strings, and of course, those hypnotic drums!

Every track on here is the definition of powerful and destructive in the best way possible. A soundtrack so cinematic you’ll feel exhausted after finishing the record! It’s just that good!

Of course, the other half of this record is the contributions of the Umbrella soldier Daniel Son. This man has already crafted a discography for the year that most would die for, but he ain’t content with that as he strives for more and you can’t get bigger than this collaboration!

Across this tape, we hear Daniel Son present us with an elevated and more evolved version of his trademark street poetry that we’ve come to appreciate over the years.

I can hear in his voice the sense of ignited passion and conviction. His new tier of ruthlessness and determination in conveying his vivid imagery and stories across the beats as he literally paints us the most gruesome of pictures and parables that we couldn’t imagine experiencing or living through!

His performances on this record have a hypnotic effect. The sway of his flow, his pinpoint rhythm as well as his in-depth lyricism all come together into the perfect storm of verbal executions that sound absolutely smooth in the ears! He’s always been an artist that has had a compelling approach but this just feels like an extra leg up as if he’s committed to testing himself and elevating his always high standards to that next level!

What surprised me the most about this record was the fact we got to hear BODY BAG himself as the dual rapper on this project! Not only doing the ridiculous beats but matching Daniel Son toe to toe (which is something very few rappers can do!)

He provides a more energetic and engaging performance to contrast Daniel’s gritty exterior. Body Bag showcases a nice use of wordplay with a smooth flow and eccentric style that makes him sound like fireworks going off on the beat! Colourful, loud and unmistakable!

I love the chemistry he brings to the table, I love the way they toss the verse back and forth to each other and the synchronicity that comes with it!

Adding to that then the fact they have brought to the table a handful of the dopest MC’s in the culture right now to further push this record higher and match even their respective styles as if it was easy? That’s fucking skill right there and it shows the level of respect and admiration each man has for the other!

This record is on that next level shit! A phrase used alot lately but one that rings true with this one. From those banging beats to the MC’s performances it all comes together for one ride that is sure to be named in the ‘AOTY’ list for 2025!

(KALEIDOSCOPE)

I can’t help it, but now anytime I see the word ‘Kaleidoscope’ I think of that Kendrick verse on the new Clipse record where he goes ‘Kaleidoscope dreams, murder and sirens’ but hey that’s just me thinking out loud!

Today, we ain’t here to talk about any of that 3. Instead, we got the latest installation to the underground. A brand new record by a man who I discovered earlier in the year, one who impressed me enough that when I saw this record appear on my Spotify I had to check it out and as expected I was pleasantly impressed! Let’s talk about it!

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the brand new record by MC Jamis and has production from Jamis himself as well as -JAZZFLEEMARKET and -Bead.

With features from the likes of

-Moses Excelsior

-NiVar

-Death & The Fool

-phlushd

-J Gray

-FACES

Wow, it’s been a while that I can say I don’t recognise any of the features or beat makers on the roster which makes the listening experience that much more interesting and exciting!

Now, if we start with the production (which is 95% Jamis himself) we see him not only increase the quality of his music but also the overall performance and levels of presence!

This feels less like a rap album but more like a cinematic score of a Tarantino film! It’s dark, heavy, surreal, immersive, and haunting all in one. There are so many explosive elements presented in this soundscape that it gives off a tense atmosphere that is impossible to shake off!

For example, let’s look at the song ‘POSSESSOR’ this literally feels like the audio representation of dread and despair. You know those scenes in thriller movies right before the villain is about to kill someone or take a victory? This is the music they will play!

It’s these absolutely gorgeously eerie violin strings that have such a huge impact on the song! Considering that one instrument dominates the whole song and the song is incredibly minimal but in that lack of layers lies a powerful sonic statement that can’t be ignored!

We have the track ‘DEERFIELD FL’ which honestly sounds like the alarm sounds you hear right before you find out your country is about to be invaded. It’s very doom-heavy and quite scary if I’m being honest (wish I wasn’t reviewing this record at night), but regardless, it’s a powerful listen but a creepy one at that.

You’ve got these manipulated ambient/violin sounds that are distorted to fuck and sound like something straight out of a horror movie. Truly amazing and disturbing all in one!

There’s even the track ‘WHERE DO WE GO’ which begins with the atmosphere of a classic trip to Italy! Until the track evolves into a further exploration into the chaotic and ambient atmosphere of long, drawn-out intense chords in loops!

This song is incredibly interesting because your brain wants to relax listening to this, but the way it’s processed has such an eerier undertone that I can’t ignore or shake!

To say the production on this record is memorable is a huge understatement. You probably won’t be able to sleep at night after this, but it’s memorable nonetheless!

If the production is that intense, can you imagine what the man who is both producer and MC will be on his own material? I’ll spoil it for you, he’s terrifyingly talented at maintaining the ambience of the record.

Across this 45-minute album, we hear him step into his dark realm of possibilities and produce some of the most chilling performances I’ve heard all year!

Of course, he’s got the basics perfected from the strong pen game to the clever wordplay and powerful cadence, but what separates him on here then the previous work is his unpredictable flow and delivery.

He has incorporated a more aggressive and freelance style that makes you wonder where and how he’s going to strike next on the beat! It sounds like he’s just rapping wherever he wants and in whatever tone, style, and cadence he wants to shock the audience!

I haven’t really experienced much like it before, in some tracks he’s your traditional MC with structure and rhythm. On other tracks it’s almost like he’s a narrator to his own music and he varies his voice into different keys to fit and enhance the theme and narrative provided! He’s a fucking human chameleon and it’s truly wild.

With the various new faced features they also provided unique and original perspectives and personalities that leave a memorable touch! There was one guy on the song ‘POSSESSOR’ the second verse who stood out to me for his almost ‘XXXTentacion’ style verse it sounded dark and gloomy but stood out!

This album definitely isn’t for the faint of heart (either that or I’m a bitch) but regardless it’s as I keep saying a MEMORABLE experience that I guarantee you ain’t getting rid of any time soon! Check out below!

(Omega Red Vs Deadpool)

I can count on my one hand the number of times a record on artwork and title alone has got me excited for a record, but this moves right to the top of the fucking list!

With a duo so powerful it literally feels like you’re listening to a pair of mutants flexing their superpowers, this new record is one for the books! Let’s talk about it!

This is the brand-new record by MC’s Supreme Cerebral and Banish Habitual! Together with producers Clypto and Kaoss, they help bring forth 12 dominant tracks featuring

– Eloh Kush

– Planet Asia

And let me say this, this collaboration is absolutely MONSTROUS. Everything from the performances, flow, rhythm, energy, conviction, pen game, cadence, bar set-ups— everything is top-tier between the duo.

As soon as we hear them across the opening track, it’s clear (as they say themselves in the second track) ‘this is grown folks’ music, who better to do it?’ And with that attitude in mind, they proceed to inherit their verbal savagery and go berserk like Logan on the instrumentals!

Both ridiculous MC’s in their own rights, but when they come together for the collaboration, pure unadulterated magic happens. It gave me goosebumps to hear one pass the second verse to the other and watch them kill it!

Watching their unique characteristics combine into one synchronous effort that is enough to stomp out any of your favourite rappers!

The risk that I’ve come across way too many times in my experience hearing collaboration albums is that one outshines the other and causes an awkward and obvious power shift that makes the listening experience weaken as a result.

BUT on this record, we have two iconic equals who match each other’s strengths, skill, and experience!

It’s like two brothers coming into the studio and complimenting each other’s qualities!

On top of their own strengths together, they also share extraordinary chemistry with the features involved on the album! Adding only the strongest in the underground right now and bringing them in for the sole purpose of massacring the tracks, and that’s exactly what they do!

As far as the production goes. We have another set of pairs that are responsible for bringing the sonic flames to adapt to the verbal heat provided, and these two execute the task perfectly! Across these 12 songs, we have nothing but the strongest and most powerful adaptations of the underground hip-hop sound!

This whole record plays like a score of the highest order. A fluent, crisp, and vivid soundscape that feels both cinematic and muddy in the same sentence!

A few key tracks that stood out to me are as follows. We have that dynamic intro track ‘Stove Broke’ that has that classic example of ‘boom bap’ excellence with that classical vocal sample loop alongside those subtle piano keys and violin strings engaging the track to its maximum potential!

It has that early 2010s energy to it that I fuck with heavy! It’s minimal and yet surreal in proportion!

We have the track ‘Project Ethics’ which I love mainly because I’m pretty sure Clypto sampled the song ‘Speaking Gently’ by ‘BadBadNotGood’ off their album ‘IV’.

That loop is happiness in my ears as I love that album and song very much! It provides such a nice, spacious to the record!

On top of that ridiculous beat, we have these thumping bass and subtle drum patterns that give a sort of skeleton to the track to attach to!

Another track I fucked with heavy was ‘War Torn’ because of its theatrical nature. This is what I imagine PTSD sounds like! You’ve got that forever looping vocal harmony that sounds somehow both lifeless and harmonious for a truly eerie sound!

On top of this, we have these haunting keys subtly going in the background and these chilling violin strings playing through it! As well as this random synth chords coming for a few seconds acting as a kind of pre-chorus sound!

It’s no doubt these two producers were the right men for the job to execute what can only be described as mammoth-size instrumentals for two of the best MC’s going right now!

This is a record you can’t afford to sleep on. Those who do can’t be for the culture! Simple as that!

We are so back! With not only a highly anticipated release but a sequel! This is a record that got me hyped as soon as I heard the single that dropped recently, and ever since this project became one of my most anticipated, and it’s finally here! So YES YES, let’s not waste any more time and get into it!

This is the brand-new album by MC FLYG and producer Drega33, and together they are responsible for eight solid tracks running just under 20 minutes in length!

This record, I gotta say, kicks things off with a bang! That intro track was fucking incredible! I loved that soulful vocal loop with those sharp synth keys and light drums and what sounds like a short burst of a flute sound.

Either way, this track has the perfect blend of smoothness, elegance, and delicate rhythm that took over me!

As the songs go on, we get nothing but bangers after bangers with production such as ‘GO@T’ which has an almost ‘surf rock’ vibe to it with those plucked electric guitar strings, organ sounds, and that soulful vocal sample (in a male’s voice this time) to create an aura-filled track that feels like a sonic stress relief pill!

You’ve got tracks like ‘CMBKHM’ which has a more classical 1960s vibe to it. From that old-school vocal sample to those humming sounds, subtle plucked strings, methodical drums, and those intricate keys!

This song feels like a peaceful walk through the local forest on a perfect day with a blue sky!

There seems to be a habit of structure across this project with the production. Soothingly structured beats with classic vocal snippets and minimal layers to fully utilise the ‘less is more’ practice, and no one does that better than Drega33!

Of course, that man is only HALF of the equation. The other half is my main man FLYG. If I thought he sounded good before, he outdoes himself yet again with a record of performances that rival anything he’s done or anyone has in 2025!

Across this album, he gives his lyrical assault the updated ‘bloodlust’ difficulty as he spits sharp bar after bar that feels like verbal fatalities across the beat, targeting each critical piece of the beat and leaving a lasting impression on every single second of the songs!

His art of one-liners goes above and beyond. If you sat there with pen and hand and tried to write out all his clever puns and set-up lines, you’d need a whole textbook of blank pages to try to memorise everything! He’s a man who never settles for the basic shit; sometimes, he’ll set up four different bars to full circle the fifth in crazy pay-off verses!

One thing he does a lot on this record that I love is his more freelance, studio-talking segments he does towards the end of the songs! It makes me believe he’s becoming more and more comfortable with his sound and adapting his style that he’s dropping these ridiculous bars and then flexing about how good they were! (And rightfully so.)

Another aspect I love is the zero features. Not that he doesn’t collaborate well with other people (his previous four-track EP with Ant Kelly was absolutely ridiculous! Plus his feature with King Androit among others solidifies his chemistry with the underground.)

BUT nothing proves quality and longevity than a man who is confident in his own ability and pen game to rock a whole project with just himself, and that’s exactly what happened here!

Another fantastic effort by FLYG and Drega33. A duo that can’t take an L if they tried! This is definitely a record I want you all to click below and feel that magical synchronicity that only they can make!
