(My Offering, The Soul)

Well, I have a rather interesting predicament on my hands. After covering the B-Side Remix edition, I’m going back to cover the original instead of the other way around! Every day is an opportunity to learn something new, and today this is mine! But to be honest, any reason to cover this artist again makes it worth it! Let’s talk about it!

This is the original 28th January release that is an extraordinary pieced effort between by MC Jasz Official and Renaissance Tone! that acts as the original side of the same project I covered on his B-side instrumental remix! With the producers being

Renaissance Tone

-Old Souly

-Renaissance J

– Reazon

Especially now that I’ve heard the original layout for the beats and the fact that he was able to wow me and maintain a strong presence in both darker and lighter instrumentation across the two sides is incredible!

It’s common that MC’s can normally sound great in one area but not the other; a gritty boom-bap rapper shines in the mud but would struggle under happy and smooth production, and vice versa.

But not Jasz! This man says, lanes? Fuck ‘ em. He somehow pulls off strong performances, and that gives me goosebumps 10x fold after listening to his verses across this project!

Now, this is wild (because I very rarely feel this way with projects), but after hearing this one, I strongly prefer the sounds of ‘Side B’, and that’s no knock on the original production, but I can see the ‘mass appeal’ for the remix version, and let me describe why.

Across this project, I feel a lot more somber, slower, methodically paced in comparison to the other. One thing I can say is that using this production, the lyricism and vocal performances provided do pop out more and deliver a stronger impact of emotions and heartfelt reactions due to the deep and powerful music on display here.

Right from the opening track, I felt those heavy sequences of instruments rain down on the listener and fill the audience with in-depth reflections, mind-bending thoughts, and elements of ambient soundscapes that capture your brain until the very last second of the album’s length.

Again, by no means is this music bad! I can definitely see myself in the future when I’m in a more introspectively focused mood to gravitate towards these sounds more than the remix; it’s just after listening to both, and I guess I’m in a more groovy mood currently. I’m choosing the other, but the original production is still a masterclass of how to inherently bring out certain feelings and emotions using just the sounds, which is definitely not an easy feat to accomplish!

Compared to the latter, this record feels like a long walk in the rain with headphones on and the world shut off. The type of record you listen to when you want time to yourself to think and contemplate your life thus far and plan your next move!

I appreciate the intentions and approach of this record as it is a uniquely crafted atmosphere that I don’t hear many other rappers or producers utilising in the underground, so shoutout to the team for that!

As for the lyricism, the actual lyrics haven’t changed from side A to B, so if you read my B review, you’ll hear my stance on the main man and his features.

But I will say this: re-listening to his bars makes me appreciate all over again the man’s skill and talent behind the mic; he truly is remarkable!

As he was on side B, he has that direct type of flow, that engaging, rhythmic delivery packed with charisma and a strong vocabulary to match! The type of guy who could verbally massacre anyone in front of him but make it sound like the most graceful thing you’ve ever heard!

Fantastic chemistry between him and the features and an overall strong character across this album that makes his voice stand out, his conviction felt, and his skills shine!

If you loved Side B, then there’s no reason you can’t at least appreciate the original (regardless of which style you prefer socially); go check it out now below!

(Shine On)

Wow, we have hip-hop loyalty in the house! This track features two of the best from different lanes! One is an underground powerhouse, the other a mainstream legend that has spent the last three decades evolving the game!

So let’s get into a track that’s sure to break your neck!

This is the brand new by MC’s M Dot and features Wu-Tang Clan General METHOD MAN! Produced by SoulPlusMind!

This is two minutes and 29 seconds of some of the most electrifying and smooth hip-hop you’ve heard in a minute, and on that note, I want to talk about the producer in question!

Across this track, we hear an old-school influenced East Coast beat with a flare of the new school!

You’ve got those looping chords that remind me of the debut Wu-Tang Clan album in its heaviness and gritty texture applied to it! And on top of that, we have these subtle jazz horns as well as light keys and drums that give this track a truly stadium feel to it that is perfect for the introduction of Method Man!

There’s also this beautifully delivered vocal harmony for the chorus that is truly smooth and soulful! It brings a theatrical edge to the track that wraps up everything in a nice, powerful sonic bow!

As far as the rapping goes, how can you go wrong with M Dot and Meth? Two of the best lyricists you’ll find anywhere in the world, and they are here to MASSACRE the beat, and that’s exactly what happened!

We have M-Dot starting off with his confident and sharp execution with his verbal assaults and impressive pen game, and that’s paired with his immensely fluent rhythm and flow that glides through the beat with a vibe that’s equal parts dangerous and elegant!

He showcases his dominating wordplay and style as he prepares for the arrival of the second verse in the

M E T H O D MAN! The man that many consider the living GOAT of Hip Hop has returned with his trademark flow that is often considered the best period!

His ridiculously smooth delivery and clever one-liners and puns, coupled with his ruthless execution of his pen game, leave him a force to be reckoned with even after three decades!

The pair’s chemistry is undeniable as they put the culture on notice with their performances that are equal in quality and execution (which should be obvious is not an easy thing to do!).

A track featuring two lyrical masterminds behind a dope beat, need I say more? Go check it out on the link below NOW!

(Built For Pressure)

‘I’m playing chess, while the other brothers are playing checkers.’ I think that line perfectly sums up this man’s career in 2025. A man with an underrated discography with singles and full lengths alike, with a one-of-a-kind personality to match, and now he’s back to showcase yet another single and show the culture how it’s done!

This is the brand-new single by MC Benny Watts and produced by, Sypooda and this is over three minutes of gritty boom-bap excellence that only he could cook up!

If I’m being honest, this beat kind of reminds me of a distorted take on G-funk! With those darker synth chords, those aggressive drum patterns, and scattered keys repetitive in the background!

Although this is quite a minimal beat, it has an eerie, haunting effect that I can’t turn away from! It’s ruthless, muddy, and raw in every way possible!

This is the kind of beat that you could play for hours and never get sick of! The way the instrumental is handled, there’s no break in the beat to stop it from being a song you could listen to for hours on end on loop!

Also, I love the ending with that promo by Daniel Bryan (or Bryan Danielson), not sure if it was a WWE or AEW promo, but regardless, a fantastic way to end the track as a huge wrestling fan myself!

Now onto Benny, as is his trademark, he demonstrated his aggression across the beats with this wicked pen game, cold-blooded flow, and sharp lyricism that could slice the head off any haters in the game right now.

From the moment this track starts, he goes in! Using a complex web of one-liners, puns, pop culture references, and double entendres to match! He was like a bar machine going off without taking a breath!

He provides on this track more charisma, eccentric raw energy, and conviction that he knows he’s the man to beat, and he’s waiting for the world to catch up and release it to! He’s brash, with the talent to back up his words and the skill to pair up with anyone in the game right

now!

Another thing I love about him is his consistency rocking singles solo! He barely needs features, and when he does, it’s only the best of the best. He knows he’s more than capable of maintaining a song by himself, and he provides it yet again on this track!

Link below. Make sure you check out the brand-new single for yourself and feel the immense power and impact he provides!

(God Complex III)

It’s been a minute since I last covered this producer. A man who I discovered towards the start of the year and one who has impressed me with his grimy executions. A man who has worked with many of my favourite underground rappers and one who has returned with two MC’s that I personally haven’t heard of, but considering he’s on the production, they are bound to be dope! Let’s talk about it!

Brand new record by MC’s Deziner Drugz & Villa Velli with us having Work Scorsese on the production! Together they drop a fresh batch of nine tracks withMondo Slade as the only feature across this 19-minute duration!

Since it’s been a minute since I last covered Work, I forgot how smooth and elegant his style is! He’s known for taking the ‘less is more’ approach and utilising a few key elements to create cinema that’s coated in gritty detail and muddy execution.

You could take any track on this project and it will prove that theory right. For example, we can look at the track ‘Big 3’ with the utilisation of that vocal harmony accompanied by those thick bass lines and beautifully added jazz horns! Those three elements come through to create one of the most powerful and mesmerising beats I’ve heard all year!

Or if we want to look at ‘SNK’ that once again features a vocal harmony ‘although more cut and chopped’ than the previous but still in the forefront looped as well as more thick, plucked bass and a consistent synth chord in the background ever so lightly going off and giving the track that extra level of detail!

Also, not to mention the tremendous verse by powerhouse Mondo Slade who never misses!

Lastly, we can look at ‘Groundbreaking’ that to me has a more 80’s Soul feel to it. You’ve got those groovy horns on a subtle loop with those consistent piano keys and light piano keys with a tad bit of bass that isn’t as prevalent as the other tracks yet noticeable enough to add texture to the track!

In all these examples, it highlights the technique of Work to literally ‘Work’ with the least amount and create the most atmosphere, and it’s in that skeletal approach that I fuck with heavy!

Now onto the MC’s in question, again two men I haven’t heard of yet but both who impressed me without much effort. I loved their unity and chemistry on the track as they pass the verses back and forth with perfect harmony and precision!

This feels like some Mobb Deep, Red and Meth, Estee and Al Divino levels of synchronicity between the two men, never a song or verse lacking or taking away from the one who came before or after, just two solid additions to the songs as they share the same rhythm and quality between them!

I love their rough and rugged energy, their chaotic and equally eccentric style of performance combined with their dope penmanship and rather impressive lyricism tied with that vivid street poetry!

They paint elaborate pictures with their verbal prowess being so descriptive that you can feel yourself being transported to what they are talking about and where! It’s that powerful of a gift they have for their craft.

The fluency across this record never stops, although it’s less than 20 minutes, it’s not a stop bar after bar, not letting this ridiculous production by Work be in vain!

So, what are you waiting for? This is one of the dopest records you’ll hear of the month! And that promise is Serpent Tongue Certified!

(So I was Thinking…)

Talk about going way back, this is a man I covered way before I started my website. Back when I did YouTube interviews and ran all my reviews via Facebook. Now, after many years and switching up my platform, I figured it’s only right to go back and re visit an artist I fucked with heavily!

This is the brand-new record by MC Jean P. The MC with production from a variety of sources such as

-Wakko

-Trumaine Jordan

-LAKIM

-Trade Voorhees

And features the likes of

-Todd Zack Jr

-Rrama

-llora Skye

Right off the bat, the same feelings of excitement came back from what I felt on his last record. The thing that has always had Jean stand out to me was the way he’s able to make his production pop and sound as lively as possible! The producers he brings to tapes make the music that’s colourful, bright, and engaging, and it’s beautiful to hear!

Coming with a variety of influences from

-Jazz

-Soul

-90’s Hip Hop

-Alternative Art Hop

And it’s not just that he’s choosing a certain variety of sounds; it’s the fact that they are able to have them presented so cinematically, theatrically, and surreal in presentation.

For me, no track screams those points more than ‘Olivia’. For me, that hit every point with that gorgeous jazz horns and light drums. It’s so minimal yet so fucking atmospheric in nature, the kind of beat I’d love to hear for hours and never get sick of!

As expected from Jean, across this record, it’s got a few skits scattered throughout the track as he presents his introspective ideas, social commentary, and just thoughts in general. I’m normally not a fan of skits (something I’ve been very honest with over the years), but across this album, it’s done in a tasteful manner that doesn’t feel like a detour from the music itself, rather a spoken word extension of it!

Man, Jéan, this man is a force to be reckoned with on the beat. What has always stood out to me is that he’s always had this damn near spiritual/preacher quality about him that I just adore. He doesn’t have the cliché tough guy, street rapper vibe or the overly experimental for the sake of it type rapper or the overstated boom bap guy; instead, he’s a guy who’s always walked in his own lane!

Across this record, he brings his trademark introspective qualities to the centre stage. He’s confident, smooth, and fluent. Always sounding like a man who just sits in the booth and just speaks his mind! Very rarely does it sound like written-down bars more than him speaking out loud!

He utilises these instrumentals fantastically. Making sure to choose beats that complement his soothing style the best and letting the listener get lost in the synchronicity between voice and beat.

The whole time I was listening to this record, I was blown away by the fluency of it. I mean, there’s no break, awkward transition, or nothing. It’s the kind of album you’ll want to listen to while walking around on a summer’s day enjoying the nature around you while letting your mind go to ease!

As expected, he pairs well with the features he chose, as they actually add value to the tracks instead of being there just for feature’s sake. Great chemistry all around!

If Furious Styles made a record, I feel it would sound something like this. Undeniable wisdom spit over lively production! Although this came out last month, it’s not one you can ignore!

(Serenity)

Man, what a fucking year for 6th Man! They’ve been swarming the field, and now we have yet ANOTHER record by one of their strongest soldiers! Don’t believe me? Let’s talk about it and prove you wrong!

This is the brand-new record by MC Powerhouse Crotona P and Produced Silent Someone! With a fresh 11 tracks and the likes of

-MONEY MOGLY

-DOZA THE DRUM DEALER

-LEX NYRE

-BROGAWD

-M DOC DIEGO

-MR. RIPLEY

-MIKE TITAN

-SLIK JACK

-G FAM BLACK

And I gotta be honest with you all, what surprised me first and foremost was how groovy the production was! This is shown immediately in the first few tracks with that intro track having those delicate and plucked keys alongside that 90’s vibe hip-hop feel and those high-strung synth chords!

Then we have that almost Mexican/Spanish festive outro that makes me feel like I’m at some dance event, and it got my body dancing for sure!

As the album goes on, it continued that lavishly executed vibe with constant scratch work by -JS-1 who provides the record with that classic era influence throughout the track!

On this record, we have elements of

-Soul

-Funk

-Jazz

-Gospel

There’s a variety of sources to draw from across this album, and not to mention the fact we have the surprise addition by Doza! I love his recent collaboration with 6th Man as he’s one of the strongest producers out right now, and he always adds amazing flavour to the record!

I fucking love how fluent and eccentric the instrumentals are on this record! I was expecting them to be tough, gritty boom-bap variations, but no, it’s providing a more soothing and atmospheric experience that really helps highlight the style and nature of Crotona’s bars and characteristics on the beats!

Speaking of the man, we have Crotona himself. A man that’s always been a standout for me in the 6th Man crew! Although the whole collective is dope, he’s definitely up there with Seed and them!

What makes Crotona such a unique MC is his style and his way he handles himself on the mic.

He has such a technical talent that it just reminds me of verbal alchemy set. The man is Edward Elric on the beat (if you know, you know), switching it up, manipulating beats, re arranging paces and structures, trying out different rhythms, executing clever one-liners, phrases, double entendres, vividly told stories, and more.

This man can and DOES do it all every time he gets onto a track, and when he’s laced with a full record with the likes of Silent Someone, he’s sure to go off in a big way!

I love how he complemented the beats given, how he syncs with them instead of against them, and he brings new life to the already busting instrumentals and speaks soul into them. I love how he’s able to not only maintain but thrive against those various MC’s enlisted on the features! Names a lot would say are some of the best going right now, and yet he still holds his own!

Every time I get the pleasure to hear a Crotona feature verse, EP, or LP, I know I’m in for a treat, I know I’m going to be shown the true art of lyricism, and he never disappoints! Going a round I didn’t expect with his production, proving even further without a doubt that he’s one of the best rappers alive, period!

(Mountain God 4)

It ain’t easy to maintain a series of albums, let alone to reach a 4th! But these two have proven to be part of the 1% who could actually pull it off! After a successful line of records, they have returned to prove that (at least for them) catching lightning in a bottle ain’t as hard as it seems! Let’s talk about it!

This is the brand-new record and sequel by MC Poe Mack and producer Van Gunz, and together they drop a fresh 14 tracks with the likes of

-DJ City Rich on the cuts

-Slvrbck Lauren and -The Bad Seed on the MC feature!

You know, when we talk about the production on this one, I have to say I was pleasantly impressed! Why? It has a nostalgic feeling to it that makes me feel warm inside! For example, track ‘Small Town Man’ which samples that classic song that I can’t remember the name of but one that is always played on the 80’s radio stations!

Not only this song but songs like ‘Praise Be’ which has this heavy synth pop vibe with those long elevated strings in the background, those delicate keys, and those methodically paced drums that make this whole track feel like the soundtrack you’d hear at the end of a late 70’s or 80’s thriller movie when the main character is going through their ‘redemption’ arc.

We have tracks like ‘The Tabernacle’ which is the track with Slvrbck on it. This track has a more gospel feel to it with those choir-style vocal harmonies but broken apart with those heavy, raw drum patterns and those light strings in the background that make for a rather compelling 90’s hip hop feel type of track (as it literally features a sample and cut of Biggie Small’s vocals).

The song ‘The Alphas’ which once again samples a classic track with Queen’s ‘We Are The Champions’ using that opening line and looping it, and bro, to think I’d hear Freddie Mercury on the same song as one with Bad Seed? That’s yet ANOTHER bingo card entry I couldn’t have ever expected and one I can’t unhear and wouldn’t want to!

This track has those delicate piano keys and heavy drum patterns that make for a rather interesting combination of Underground Rap and 80’s pop rock influence!

And if there’s any question that Seed would kill

it on this track, then slap yourself; he ain’t never taking no L’s! He kills it as usual!

All these tracks have a special feel to the production that not only wasn’t I expecting but brought a refreshing energy to the whole project that I fell in love with instantly! Shoutout to Van Gunz for this one!

Now onto Poe Mack, the one who doesn’t understand the meaning of the word quit! He absolutely nails his verses as he has done every time he approaches the studio, and on this record, he sounds better than he has!

We hear him on this record more aggressive, more relentless, and more ruthless sounding than I remember him!

He ain’t playing on this record; he’s got that sharp and cold lyricism! That flaming pen game and that undeniable rhythm that is soaked in power and conviction that makes each beat tremble with his vocal performances!

I love the gritty aura he brings with him; his in-your-face, I don’t give a fuck attitude is so addictive! Just like his brother Seed, he has the same mentality of not giving a fuck what anyone says or thinks, and it’s refreshing to see someone else with that same level of confidence and integrity!

He’s so fluent across each track, never a L taken or weak bar to be found. Each verse is done with the utmost care, excellence, and enough devotion to shame out your local preacher! He’s letting the world know that he’s the man to beat and he’s walking the walk, letting the verses speak for themselves!

Make sure you go check out the duo’s latest edition because it’s guaranteed to not only blow your brains but leave an impression you won’t be able to get rid of!

(Run Towards The Monster)

What happens when two titans collide? When two of the most influential artists of almost the last decade come together to form one mind, it’s a sonic statement of legendary proportions and one that screams ‘classic’ on name alone. With that in mind, let’s talk about what is the latest (and probably biggest) contender for ‘AOTY’. Let’s go!

This is the brand-new record by legendary MC Ty Farris and legendary producer Apollo Brown. They drop 13 tracks, 44 minutes, and bring with them two powerhouses in

-Mickey Diamond

-Top Hooter

That duo speaks volumes to me because those two men carry more weight than 100 MC’s each! So to have them both together with Ty is absolutely ridiculous and made me hyped even before I heard it!

What can I say about Apollo’s production more than ‘classic’ at this point? He’s built himself an empire that is untouchable at this point in his career. He’s beyond a producer and more in the leagues of art professors and godly skill come to life!

Across this record, he showcases what I would say are his most memorable and spiritual instrumentals I’ve heard from him, period. These sound less like ‘traditional hip hop beats’ and more like elaborate and cinematic scores that have a hint of sacred energy stored up inside of them!

For example, tracks like ‘Details’ sound like music created in the midst of a secluded village in the middle of nowhere! With those flute sounds, angelic vocal harmonies, subtly light drums, and aspects of violin strings playing in the background with a small sprinkle of delicate keys that sound absolutely fantastical in execution. I honestly felt lifted and zoned out when listening to this track; the beat was beautiful in the purest form possible!

Speaking of tracks, the one right after ‘Authenticity’ is the perfect track to have the legendary Mickey Diamond featured on it! A one-of-a-kind artist that can be recognised by his first word on a beat! Across this track, we have another mellow and atmospheric track!

This one is accompanied by long keys, a more upfront vocal harmony with a hint of chipmunk-style pitch to them, as well as some synth chords that all come together for this heavily distilled track that somehow sounds abrupt and smooth at the same time!

It’s no question whether Mickey killed it or not; there hasn’t been a time where we haven’t!

If we mention Mickey, then we gotta mention the track that I already reviewed, ‘Flawless Victory,’ an absolute masterpiece of a single that leaves you on the edge of your seat the whole track with that ridiculous bass, haunting keys, as well as those fleeting sounds in the background that add that extra layer of substance!

Not to mention, we get the FEED THE FAMILY General Top Hooter across the track, bringing his ruthless street poetry to the forefront as he brings ‘Flawless Victory’ to the track!

If having a critically acclaimed figure such as Apollo wasn’t enough overkill for the album, we have Ty! A rapper so revered that the physicals of his last record, ‘Timing Of A Tarantula,’ are selling for insane prices on the market! That’s the power and influence he brings, and all that and more is shown on this record!

As is trademark, he brings his calm, collected, and confident voice and rhythm to the tracks. He drops bars like a profound author writing words that come to life to the audience, a man so passionate and skilled that a single verse by him can stick into the minds of fans for months and whole albums’ worth? Is automatically leaving a lasting impression on the masses.

He sounds less like a rapper and more like a philosopher spending his days enlightening the masses and trying to spread awareness, social commentary, and dope bars along the way. Kind of reminds me lowkey of Furious Styles. A man who’s wise yet street, a man who will teach you the world but one you don’t want to step against, that’s the perfect description for this man!

His flow is so smooth and un intruding that it feels like a loose piece of grass gliding through a flowerbed uninterrupted and free. He makes every bar feel effortless as he shows off his various technical skills on the mic and his overall cadence!

What I find fascinating about this man, is the way he interacts with features. Not just on this record on various occasions he never sounds like he’s competing (definitely never lacking) against a fellow MC but sounds like the wise spokesman in the room, never failing to impress and yet never forcing himself to appear as the centre of attention when the world knows of his potential and overwhelming knowledge!

A fantastic mash up of legends and yes I’m well aware I’ve used that word alot over this review but that’s because it’s deserved. All 4 men involved in this project on any given day can give you ‘AOTY’ material, so for them to combine efforts is something truly legendary!

(DANCING WITH WOLVES)

I know I’ve said this multiple times throughout his career thus far (and every time I mean it), but I swear this time is gospel because after his incredible EP with the likes of Ant Kelly, we already have a single which features my new favourite beat by the man, and the fact both these were released so close together is insane— another solid reason to take notice of the man they call

FLYG!

This is the brand-new single by MC FLYG and Brooklyn Producer SketchTurner, and together they dropped a three-minute and 15-second track that put my mind at ease!

First of all, I want to discuss the production because, man, that was a gorgeous beat that sounds soulful, delicate, and harmonious all in one! The kind of beat you listen to when you’re having a tough day and just want to wind down and leave your troubles at the door!

Lowkey, this beat kind of reminds me of the classic Odd Future beats on the earlier Earl Sweatshirt or Tyler, The Creator records. You’ve got that subtly utilised vocal harmony with a slight chipmunk pitch, which I absolutely love! As the intro of the track passes, we get some jazz-feel drums set it, then some sharp chords, and what sounds like a flute sample on loop!

There’s also some piano keys as the song develops, which I love because this song reminds me of a cornetto ice cream! Never a boring bite, and that’s what makes this one of the most intriguing and satisfying beats out right now!

As far as the MC work goes, is there ever a reason to doubt FLYG? After all the effort and work he’s putting in this year and his constant evolving and improving, he can’t miss, and on this track, he doesn’t!

I love how he’s deciding to make a longer track to showcase even more of his impressive lyricism and more specifically his setting up of his notorious one-liners and puns as he’s always finding new creative ways to spin and spit bars to make the listener ponder and think!

With so many lines to choose from and the risk of making my review unreadably long in response to it, let me just say that he continues to stun me every time he opens his mouth. (Pause) His verbal expressions and technical abilities are beyond most!

It’s not even a case of me saying ‘most of the time’. No, literally every second of the track he’s devoted himself to this formula of spitting fantastic puns, phrases, double entendres, and one-liners to push the limit of his creativity, his ability to craft sentences in a fun and entertaining way!

The way he always checks his charisma and personal cadence on the track and never sounds off or gassed with his flow, instead remaining smooth and calm with a hint of flexing in his voice due to his confidence as a dope lyricist!

Once again, another great track with phenomenal production and verses to match. See for yourself in the link below!

(#MINIMANSIONDUSTVOL.7)

Man, what an incredible journey it’s been so far for this man and his 23 Incredible crew and affiliates. If nothing else, they have spent the last 10+ years re inventing the wheel and showcasing new opportunities for the underground that weren’t available to be conceptualised until they put the work in.

This record reads like a celebration of all the hard work, blood, sweat, and tears, and incredible dedication to the art that has led these men to release the most captivating albums of 2025! With that being said, let’s get into the 7th volume of one of the greatest series tapes, period.

This is the brand-new volume compilation series by Estee Nack, produced by Mr. Rose and Bone Weso, and features across the board the 23 Incredible crew and affiliates such as

-CODENINE

-TOPLIST MAGNETIC

-AL DIVINO

-NYEUSI LOE

-HYROGLYPHX

-SMELLO

-THEHIDDENCHARACTER

-BORI ROCK

And I have to point out the insane elephant in the room here: a record produced by BOTH Mr. Rose and Bone Weso? Are you kidding me? If this isn’t overkill, then I don’t know what is. These two are easily two of the most captivating producers we have right now, and the fact that they are collaborating had me ready first thing payday to buy this on principle alone!

Across this record, I honestly feel they are stripping everything away and going back to the classic 2018 era vibes that got them the attention they used to snowball to begin with! I feel a strong

-HAMMERABI -TRIPLE BLACK DIAMOND II -IMMORTALKOMBAT era beats and presentation. Again, this feels like a celebration and the crew paying homage to what brought them here, and it’s in that nostalgic underground sounds that draw me in the most!

These beats have that trademark balance of mellow distorted jazz vibes mixed in with that raw boom-bap influence that combines into a soulful listen that has an aftertaste of grit!

Bone Weso, a man who doesn’t need any introduction, but on his cuts he has absolutely no problem tapping into the same atmosphere that Mr. Rose is presenting, and from track to track it’s impossible to tell between either beatmaker on whose making what (which is fucking impressive).

One thing (among many) that I love about this album is the use of these theatrical outro snippets; some sound like David Lynch, others just historians talking about things like Cortez or ancient ceremonies.

These types of things are common with Bone’s records, but across this Minimansion addition, it really adds an extra level of eerie and detail to already phenomenal instrumentals! Proving that to these two men it’s more than just ‘music’ but a lost art form that most get wrong!

Again, I can’t say enough how much I loved the combination of these two across the tapes. It’s got everything I wanted: nostalgia, fresh beats, dramatic effect, and smooth, undeniable melodies, and they do all of this 10x fold.

As far as the MC work goes, Estee sounds more relaxed and at ease than I’ve heard him in a minute. Realising he’s in his home element, surrounded by his brothers and family, he’s able to breathe and drop a more comfortable version of himself, and in that, we get a more soothing and eccentric form of an already eccentric artist!

It’s ridiculous to assume Estee could sound even greater or have an even more fluent and wavy flow than he already does, but he accomplished it across this tape!

We hear him glide over these beats like smoke from a fat blunt with every bar he spits. I found myself non-stop mean-mugging and banging my head until my neck hurt, then I banged some more!

Alongside his notorious freelance rhythm he’s known for on this one, he brings a few tracks that actually come with more melody and singing parts by him! And I mean why not! His voice isn’t bad, and he’s surrounded by family, so this would be the perfect opportunity to try new things, and it comes out no surpriseingly amazing!

As he is featuring with family all the verses and fellow MC’s outdid themselves across these beats! Whether you’re talking about the OG Mini mansion feature in CODENINE absolutely nailing his verse or ground up brother Al Divino who always has perfect chemistry with Estee as he has for over a decade now!

To the features of lyrical snippers in THEHIDDENCHARACTER or the Wavy Dawg Bori Rock! Each and every person holds their own and helps bring their own dose of charisma, energy, cadence and strength to the tracks and it’s flawless effort on their parts!

Once again, another stunning effort by Estee and the crew. When It’s all said and done I guarantee you they will consider this collective as some of the best to ever do it, period!
