These two men had a ‘tremendous’ career in 2025. Two of the more powerhouse members of the underground who represent arguably the strongest faction in the game. Now they have decided to stunt on the game one time and kill the underground all over again! Let’s talk about it!
This is the latest album by MC’s and Feed The Family representatives -Top Hooter and Shaykh Hanif and they come strong with producers
-Cease Flemmi
-Rich Tayo
-2000 Souls
-Haas Almahdi
-Felons
-MichaelAngelo
And features -Lukey Cage who performs the intro!
I want to start with the production as we get a veritable list of names to accompany this duo and each of them create a banger worth of the two to go off on but here are a list of my favourites!
Firstly I want to discuss -MANDATORY that starts off with those wicked drums that lead the audience into the fully developed instrumental that consists of this rattling synth chord progression that gives this song an eerie vibe across the board.
We have those thick and engulfing bass strings, looming keys in the background and of course those striking drums and when you wrap all this up it sounds like the score to a Hitman absolutely lethal!
We have the track -BROTHERS OF DESTRUCTION I love this one because it feels like a 2020’s WSG style track! You’ve got the man himself -WestSide sampled in the cuts which helps add that larger than life texture to the track!
This one also has secondary vocal snippets that loop throughout the instrumental that’s accompanied by some plucked bass strings and rhythmic drum work that makes this feel like a mainstream gritty boom Bap excellence that the culture and the hood would bump on the daily!
I also appreciated the song -UNTIL THEN a heartfelt tribute track that’s embedded with Soulful vibes. You’ve got that beautifully crafted vocal harmonies that smoothly run through the song accompanied by some light and lush piano work, mesmerising bass lines and surreal drums that help amplify the atmosphere of the track! This is one of those early 2000’s vibes tracks and I loved every second of it.
Talking the rapping side of things you’d have to living under a large rock to not understand the chemistry between these two. If your new to the underground scene and this is your first experience with these two then understand this. They are two of the heaviest hitters in the game with their own unique characteristics, cadences and charismas that help them dominate their specific lanes while repping the same collective!
We already had the duo work of ‘BoriRock & Dun Dealy’ and their chemistry was obvious. This time around we focus on straight forward street lyricism that’s entwined with heavy imagery, old school influences and the pursuit of perfection as they represent the hustler or ‘zinger’ lifestyle in the bars and verses they spit.
Top Hooter is the grittier toned one of the two, his trademark style is more methodical because he doesn’t have to move fast for anyone! His words force everyone in the room to pay attention and today is no different as he brings his signature brash street talk to the forefront coming up with some of the most memorable one liners I’ve heard all year!
Shaykh Hanif is the higher Octave of the two with a more emphasis on wavy rhythm and use of adlibs, groovy charisma and an eccentric sense of street poetry that makes his parts feel infectious and impossible to ignore! He’s re living his past, present and hopes for the future of that ‘zinger’ life and the gift and consequences of living said life within the hip hop game! Definitely one of the most unique voices in the rap game!
The thing I love album this record is the lack of features. In fact the same for the Bori & Dun album! They understand they are the main event so why taint that with others? Between the two they have infinite wave respectfully and they can keep the audience on the edge of their seats each and every time with just ONE of them, what do you think would happen with two? I’ll tell you domination!
Whether they are ‘Keeping You Waiting’, ‘Handing Out Samples, or ‘Half A Whole Thing’ in the hip hop industry they are ‘The Hand That Feeds’ some would say the ‘Pyrex Visionary’ or ‘The Hooter Hyena’ regardless of how you see it they are on top and creating countless bangers that will be looked back on years later no doubt as CLASSICS!
