Another day, another new artist to cover. At this rate, I feel I’ll cover over 1000 new names before the new year, and they keep getting better! I didn’t know what to expect from this lot, but I can safely say I enjoyed what I heard! So let’s talk about it!

And with this verbal entourage with them, this one is set to be a banger!
If we discuss the production first, we talk about a soundscape that is reminiscent of the golden 2000s era of hip hop. I was teleported back to the days of prime -T.I./Young Jeezy/50 Cent in the way it has that mainstream influence with those golden instrumentation that you could play on any radio or club! Nothing but 7 bangers!
A certain number of tracks stood out to me for the better! One is -Life I Know, which hits so crisp and sweet that it makes you want to play it over and over again. This one consists of those subtle chipmunk vocals, groovy horns, thudding drum beats, and some light chord progressions in the background that make this feel like prime 04 Kanye! It’s beautifully executed and takes all your stress away!
There’s the track -NEVER, which has this minimal ambiance to it that I found additive! Combining those looped vocal harmonies with those plucked strings and rhythmic drums to create a hypnotic beat that was replaying over in my head even after the album was done! It goes to show just how much you can accomplish with the ‘less is more’ mentality!
There’s even the track -CROWN, which brings the beautiful sounds of Reggae-infused hip hop right to your doorstep with a combination of those sharp chord progressions, funky strings, and some amazing drum work! This feels like Ziggy Marley turned underground! Combined with those vocal performances, and you have the perfect track ‘to be one with nature’ too!
As far as the MC work is concerned, we have a man who is absolutely dominant in his field! A rapper who wants all the representation and presence and takes it upon himself to be as sharp, vicious, and energetic as possible on top of these unforgettable beats!
He has a certain edge about him that I found kickass! An in-your-face personality with precise delivery and a rough and rugged flow that forces you to mean-mug your environment with every new bar that he drops!
I loved his upfront approach to the wordplay. A man who combines street poetry with masterful vocabulary to create an engaging performance that draws you in with every word. I love his gritty, brash talk style that makes you feel like he’s talking directly to you! His powerhouse aura combined with his rather impressive use of versatility in his words makes him the ultimate threat!
Not to mention how he kills with the features! Some people just have guests on for the sake of having them and not really utilising the artists given to the full advantage, but that’s definitely not the case here! Each person helps elevate the tracks 10x fold and unite to amplify the record to new,l dope heights!
I would definitely recommend this album as I think each area hits hard and is done with quality and mastered techniques. But please listen to the link below and tell me what you think!
