This has easily been one of the most anticipated records I’ve come across in 2026. Ever since I discovered him in early 2025 he’s been on the top of the list. A man who is the human embodiment of ‘Originality’ who re invents the wheel with each new drop and today he’s pulling off a concept that no one in the history of the game has done yet and that’s a record based on ‘Felt’ and if that ain’t the most innovate ideas then your just lying to yourself. 

With all this mind and with a fantastic producer by his side it’s time to discuss what could easily be ‘AOTY’

And firstly I want to commend this duo on having the confidence to pull off such a long album in this day and age of horrendous attention span they said ‘nah son, we have that X factor the culture wants to hear’ and they were spot on! While the 41 minutes may look intimidating if your not one whose use to long albums, it’s a sonic adventure where you’ll find time moves so fast you’ll blink and the record will be over! 

Starting first with the production side of things, I ain’t gonna lie I had never heard of this man prior to pre release singles and based on the way Chubs talked about him in our exclusive written interview I could tell he was someone special and his beats proved it! 

From the beginning to the end he showcased a variety of sounds and techniques that helped fluctuate and enhance the grand themes and messages spread throughout this album. It’s like a a combination of chaotic & cinematic fusions that somehow mesh perfectly together to create hip hop art.

There’s so many points of this album where I found myself mean mugging the instrumentals themselves. It’s like he’s trying to bring an animated world come to life on some ‘Who Framed Roger Rabit’ type shit. Each track feels colourful and sentient! As if we are listening to 18 individual pieces of Soul that forms a sonic creature that FiveEight himself brought to life! While I was listening to this album I didn’t hear ‘songs’ I heard ‘manifestations’ turned into hip hop beats. 

The very essence of pure but mixed with that unpredictable melodies that emphasis that ‘chaos’ aspect I mentioned above! 

His style, dedication and love for his beats is uncanny. He’s definitely a man who you can tell bleeds his heart ,soul and life into the instrumentals and in turn creates absolute precision and depth that very few can attain! For me it’s impossible to choose a favourite beat as they all serve a higher purpose of creating a strong atmosphere working together with the ones that came before and after! Truly Marvelous work by Five!

Someone who I obviously wasn’t new to my main man Chubs. One thing I’ve come to respect about him as I get to know him more personally over the years is his professionalism and sharp mindset. He’s a man who has a vision, a plan for how the music should turn out and he follows it to a tee! 

As far as the man’s rapping goes, it’s gotta be no surprise that I found it absolutely extraordinary! 

This is a man who can cultivated a distinct sound and rhythm that can’t be touched. A harsh and raspy tone that’s recognised within seconds and a flow that is unmatched. Wenger he’s on the Mic he takes centre stage and that has never been more true then on this one!

Hip Hop’s most dynamic author. A man who can literally bring words to life, with just a few key sentences he manifests a visual so strong that no VR can hope to compare.

Across this tape, he’s as sharp, straightforward and strategic as I’ve ever heard him. The way he can lay out a game plan and execute it literally he’s like a culture Julius Caesar. His charisma and confidence at an all time high and his wordplay to match.

I just found myself mesmerised at his attitude and attention to detail. The way he can manipulate those phenomenal beats to his advantage and make his words sound that much more profound and deadly! 

Chubs in his quest on bringing back the ‘BURL TALK’ days and incorporated that into his music with the same edge and ruthlessness as the days and doing so with enough force and determination that you know it’s going to come off equality as gritty and clean cut as possible! 

I also love how he communicated and rocked with the features he brought to the table. People you can hear he obviously has history and smooth

Chemistry with as each person helped elevate the specific tracks they were on and push the album in a stronger direction! 

Whether It’s a vampiric inspiration, wrestling or Felt. I could and will listen this man rap about anything because he’s just that fucking talented! He’s a man who walks into the room and everyone stops and listens. Pair that with one of the most innovate producers I’ve heard in a minute and you got a recipe for a modern day classic. It’s as simple as this, if you ain’t peeping this then you ain’t for the culture son!
