This is one of those artist I’m so happy I reconnected with. After a long period away from this man’s music and only recently reviewing on of this albums I can safely say he’s back in my artistic forefront. A man who has a distinctive sound about him that others don’t and with that being said let’s talk about this new one!

This is the brand new single by MC -MiyagiSun and Producer -BGOnDaTrak and together they drop this fluent banger of 3 minutes and 15 seconds that I can guarantee will surprise alot of you and captivate others!

Let’s start with the production side of things. On this one we have a rather interesting combination of instrumentation and influences from the that classical style vocal harmony that is looped around the song with a few different stages from random snippets to a crash out sound that we hear especially at the start! It’s as if they are using the main vocal loop but deciding to give it a whole truck load of different mix and match endings is the best way I can describe it!

Also the fact that it doesn’t always appear as your traditional loop. Sometimes it will go for 20 seconds with no vocal loop and then reappear out of nowhere. That’s an insanely creative use of the sample. 

On top of all that we have some subtle bass, methodical drums and some plucked strings! A very intricate take on an instrumental that makes  it all the more satisfying! 

As far as the MC work goes once again we see Miyagi showcase his ‘wax on-wax off’ style of lyrical performance. Meaning he has this calm like a still river flow where he sounds like the most unbothered man on the planet but dropping some of the most Socrates type bars you’ve heard in a minute! A master of the mind and the tongue. 

From his rapture threat delivery, his philosophical mindset and his cool demeanour he makes each bar across these three minutes hit like a punch of Bruce Lee, quick, unnoticed and yet deadly enough to knock you out! As usual he doesn’t need a feature. He is the main character! He’s the reason you tune into the track. When he spits the world listens and for someone like me who spent my teen years admiring MC’s of his cut and lane I appreciate this all the more!
