(Interview With OcBully)

For the production who reached out to who? Did you link with Tremendiss or did he come to you? And do you guys have a history prior to this album?

:I want to say I met Tremendiss & he could correct me if I’m wrong at the first FTF album listening party & we been locked in since then! & for this project I reached out to Tremendiss to purchase a couple beats & we met at JPegs studio & he asked me if I just wanted to collab on a project & that’s how “Food For Thought” came about.

Going into this. What would you say was your intention for the albums sound. Did you have any set ideas you wanted to convey sonically?

:Going into this I knew Tremendiss was a very seasoned Producer & I just wanted to rap & involved my love for cooking/food in this project, & as far as the sound everything went hand to hand Tremendiss knew the sound & I just projected for real.

When deciding what song to choose as a lead single what goes into it? What made you guys choose -Sweetest Aroma?

:When I recorded Sweetest Aroma Bori was with us in the studio that day & he liked the track so we locked in the feature & when I was in the city we locked in for the video & S/o to BoriRock for always motivating me to push my music or as he would call it my ar

As far as the lyrical side is concerned. How long ago did you write the verses for these songs? Have they been stored for a while or are you a write on the go kind of MC?

:“Chef’s Knife” was the only one I had written a week or two prior meeting Tremendiss at the studio I didn’t have a beat for it but found it as soon I heard the beat for “Chef’s Knife” & everything else was written as I heard every other beat on the album.

What was the inspiration behind the album title -Food For Thought? And was there any other names considered prior to this one?

:The Name for the Title came around Actually brain storming with my brother Crack & I brought it i believe to the second studio session where everyone there agreed/liked that name for the title

Do you have a favourite track on the album for any personal reason? And if so which one and why?

:Pardon my French toast but I fucks with all of them! But if I had to choose “Hell’s Kitchen” one I banged it out as soon as I heard the beat & two being able to show my Dominican roots in fitting in Spanish bars felt dope.

Where do you go from here? Can we expect more from you in 2026?

:2026 expect more visuals, Music, more Art, & try to give more of me.

Stuck on a desert island and you can only keep one album for the rest of like. Which are you choosing?

:If stuck in a deserted island the one album I could keep for the rest of my life is 50cent “Get Rich Or Die Trying” that album my essence, I always loved Hip-Hop but this album made me want to rap as a kid On Dawgs
