When it’s all said and done, I promise you this man’s extensive discography is going to be remembered as one of the greatest. In the past few years alone, he’s showcased a mastery and natural talent that very few can match. Now he’s back to push another MC that is sure about to blow up due to his involvement with this notorious producer! So let’s talk about it!

Now the first thing I gotta address and one of the main things I respect Deevo for is always putting on a range of new talent. Every new album he has names I’ve never heard of, which makes me happy because it proves he’s really down for the culture while most just rep it; he’s actually preaching it!
When we discuss the production aspect of this album, we see Deevo tune into the classic 90’s era. An era of no-nonsense beats and even tougher stance on quality. Back when not just anyone could make it! You had to be skilled and one of a kind to gain traction, and I feel this is the perfect influence for Deevo to show just how gifted he really is!
On this album, we hear 40 minutes of absolute wonder. From gritty and unforgettable soul fusions to that wavy, raw, and smooth combination of old-school hip hop combined with luscious chord progressions and wavering melodies that make this feel like a record straight out of the 90’s! I guarantee if this came out back then, the whole world would be on it!
This album reads like a fluent score that compliments every track that comes before and after. To me, there’s no song that outdoes the other but more working in unity to create one of the most flowing records you’ve heard in a minute!
One song I did find interesting though was -FOURBOSSCOMMANDMENTS because it seems to put a modern-day twist on the classic Biggie song -10 Commandments.
On this version, we hear a chorus that pays homage to the original song as well as a loop of the start of that song cut up! The way this song pays respect makes me smile because it’s not like he’s copying or plagiarising Biggie’s song but instead made his own take! So that stood out for that reason!
If we’re talking about the MC value on this album, we hear a man who seems to match Deevo’s mesmerising energy to a key. Like someone who has gathered enough experience to know what kind of cadence is needed to match this level of production, and his verses are equal parts powerful and compelling in their own ways!
Across the 40 minutes, we hear a man who, alongside the various features, comes in swinging and utilises his voice, his charisma, and natural energy to its utmost capacity to create an experience that partly reminds me of the legends that paved the way but also helps push the modern era into a new standard of performance that everyone should follow!
Speaking on the features, the chemistry he brings to the table is amazing. With men I’ve never heard of creating verbal explosions that help push the record further into greatness. If I had to play -DEVILS ADVOCATE, I’d say the best feature was -Tye Henney! There was just something about his verse that had me captivated!
What’s good about this MC is that he has a no-nonsense attitude about him. In certain areas, he’s rough and rugged, and in others, he’s more atmospheric and subtle, and in this case, going between the two different ways makes him a more diverse artist the most and helps make his synchronicity with Deevo’s beats that much sweeter!
