Now let’s start with the MC part. I’ve noticed the more I cover B1, the more I see the pattern of making any rapper that jumps on his track perform some of the best verses you’ve heard from the said person. Again, going to the respect factor I talked about in the intro, he’s a man who must cultivate so much that each artist features wants to do their absolute beast because all of the bars on here are killing!
From Le Zeppo’s smooth and commanding vocals that set up the track with strong lyricism, comfortable tone, and the freshest quality check you could ask for to lead the other two men!
Flashbang Jimmy comes in heavy with his rhythmic wordplay that feels like a colour explosion on the beat with his fast-paced, sharp delivery, and in-your-face intensity that helps double down the audience’s attention span!
B1 in the third spot, which is an absolute criminal choice for the third position due to how powerful of an MC he is! From his aggressive and raw performances that combine a verbal attack that you could never prepare for but one that’s solid, compelling, and stays engraved into your brain for days to come!
The finale verse with Loe Pesci was an insane choice as he’s given the reigns to go off with the longest verse on the whole track! Another confident, slick, brash, and brilliant rapper who showcases his nonchalant approach mixed with grimy lyricism and an immense flow that oozes all over the track! A definite standout performance!
I think I’ve said this about every new beat I hear of B1’s, but I’ll say it again because I genuinely mean it. This is my favourite instrumental from this man, hands down! I’ll tell you why!
This song has a dark, ambient, jazz, lo-fi feel to it that all comes together incredibly well! You’ve got those groovy yet somehow eerie piano keys combined with what sounds like a distorted chord progression that loops around the track, combined with some thick bass! Also, there might be a screeching sound of a keyboard held down to make that pitch!
So simple yet so atmospheric. This is the kind of beat I’d listen to beat tape edition and use it to spike my creativity. It’s thick and haunting yet beautiful in its own twisted way!
