Let me quote the MC himself and what he told me regarding this album ‘This One’s much more chill and introspective’ his mind is probably so twisted it would make Marilyn Manson quiver in fear! Do you see that album cover? And this is more chill edition? Absolutely insane. Let’s talk about it!

This is the brand new album by MC -Eclyse and Producer -Skinny Bonez Tha Godfatha two men who I’ve had plenty of history with and as they come together under a collective banner their chemistry is as solid as I expected it to be! 10 tracks with the likes of
-Bleach
-ILLtemper
-Sadida
-G-Fam Black

And again he claims this is most introspective record while rapping words such as -Drinking blood of my enemies that is truly ridiculous to me but yet he’s one of those rappers who never fails to make a grand performance with his bars as he’s consistently painting a terrifying picture of gore and vivid imagery that’s tied into his spectacular rap style which consists of strong vocabulary and slick tones that has his tell a more varied story then most and one that’s normally stepped in horrific wordplay!

On this album he showcases his sharp and yet smooth delivery on the beats! His enunciations are solid, his presence is both powerful and terrifying and the way he’s able to construct different bars with different words is to me his idea of flexing just how talented he is! For anyone who’s listening to his discography prior to this, they should already know how good he is but this feels like that next-level shit!
That’s also because of the company he brought on this album! For example ‘G Fam Black’ a man who might be the only that’s as twisted as he is lyrically! They are a match made in hell and then you have the the song -Hazardous which has the remainder of the features come together under one banner of cypher style bar feast under that trademark boom Bap beat that will have you mean mugging the entire track!

As far as the production goes, this might be the best I’ve heard of him yet! Maybe he just has excellent chemistry with Eclyse that it sounds more crisp but I found each track on this one more exciting then the next! He killed the entire 28 minutes!

From tracks like -Feather Pen Scriptures that has this thrilling instrumental that starts off with those heavy handed chords in that piano style loop that later evolves into this cerebral rhythm that features those thick bass lines and sinking drum patterns as well as this constant shrieking chord in the background to add an even more eerier effect! If this song ain’t a soundtrack to a serial killer then I don’t know what is!

We have the song -Highest Form which takes a more chilling approach to the sound that begins with those delicate keys in that unsettling pattern that later evolves into this beat combining rhythmic drum patterns, regular flowing keys and some subtle bass lines that gives your stomach that antiquated/worry feel that you get whenever your anxious! (Which is lowkey a problem for me because that makes me need to rush to the toilet!) that’s how immersive this track is, it feels like real life anxiety!

-Channel A Blueprint stood out to me as well! Firstly it has this mellow atmosphere to it that I fucked with heavy! With those lucid keys in that dream sequence loop, droning drums and plucked bass strings that also have that beautifully tragic chorus with that vocal performance that felt sombre in its execution! Definitely stood out to me more than the rest!

A duo that’s definitely worth keeping your eye on that’s amplified by the various features! Is it his most ‘chill’ album yet? I wouldn’t say so but it’s definitely dope!
