Could this be the most eerie edition of the iconic series? I feel this one brings less of a ‘I’m one to look out for’ to ‘I AM that guy, fuck the rest’ and to meet this type of mentality within a span of few years is truly insane. Coming together with a man behind the beats who is just as prolific as him! First time collaboration and this one is not for the feint of heart! Let’s talk about it!

This is the brand new album and sequel by MC -Action Figure 973 and Producer - Soul La Flare and together they drop this magnificent set of 9 tracks that act as the perfect continuation of an already heavy series of albums.
I think Action says it best himself at the end of the opening track ‘I could stop right now, my catalogue would have me coasting’ and I feel to an extent that is true!
He’s made such a profound impact on the culture already that if he retired today he’d be remembered for his greatness!

But as his career keeps going forward, so does his ego. That mask amplifies his studio promos to next level bully rap atmospheres that only a few can reach. He ain’t humble and he’s not pretending to be either! This is a man who sells out physicals in less then a minute, has a re selling worth of thousands and has worked with the best of the best. It’s not hard to see where his brashness comes from and it’s well deserved!

Take concepts such as -20 MINUTE BLOW JOB! If that ain’t some top Don shit then I don’t know what is! On this track (much like every other) every second bar is a ridiculous brag of his lavish life and how unwavy the rest of the world is! Doing so in his trademark eccentric fluency that only he can pull off!

The track -GOING TO KILL YOU which is a play on a common chant used in wrestling normally for either a big man or a hardcore icon! When the crowd will chant ‘X Is going to Kill you’ over and over! It’s a fan favourite moment and of course Action had to put his own spin on it with that ridiculously hard chorus where he goes ‘One Of these kids is not like the others x3 one of these kids is dead!’
On this track we talk about what would happen if he became a wrestler and the events that would transpire! Talking about head lining wrestlemania or even putting an obi on the intercontinental title!
A lot of fun wrestling references over that insane instrumental!

When we discuss the production, we talk of course about -Soul La Flare! The man with 1000 beats holds on to the culture. A man more mysterious than the Wyatt family and harder hitting than Prime Nakamura! But what I love most about his contributions to this album is the darkness ‘pun intentional’ that he brings across the stage! Each track has its own distinct pressure that forces the listener to mean mug while sitting through this experience grittier than a crippler crossface from a pissed-off Benoit!

First track I want to highlight is -GOING TO KILL YOU my god what a fucking beat! It feels like a swarm of killer bees coming straight at you with murderous intent! You’ve got those deep trench keys that are combined with that haunting screeching violin chords with that sickening bass and drum combos!
This is one of those tracks you wouldn’t want to play in the dark unless your a way tougher cunt then I am!

In fact the opening track -KNOW YOUR ROLE has an equally terrifying score. You’ve got more distorted chords that linger 10 seconds longer in a loop than you’d want them too! They dominate the track that’s combined with some trenched bass that is barely noticeable but it’s gritty presence gives your body chills!
Quite the stripped-back track but man does it punch you in the gut like a straight stiff shot from Yota Tsuji!

The song -MAIN EVENT OF THUNDER has what sounds like a black hole of abrasive and experimental sounds while on acid! You’ve got those distorted and deep keys combined with some ruthless drum patterns and the re-appearing sharp keys! This one is hard to describe without actually hearing it for yourself but it’s a truly nightmare fuel track that further amplifies the savage bars by Action!

All in all, another solid home run by Action! His chemistry with Soul is probably the grittiest we’ve seen yet and to no one’s surprise they complement each other well! So you already know! Run this album up!
