After hearing what this man had to offer in EP form I was already hooked. Someone who comes packed with raw talent, gritty charisma and a ruthless attitude. Combine that with a familiar producer and feature and you have a killer song that has enough intensity to stab you from within the sonic realm! Let’s talk about it!

This is the brand new single by MC -GAWDBLESS and Producer -Jondrethegiant and Feature -Franklin and together they re unite to create this heavy track that I’m sure will leave a lasting impression!

GAWD brings with him a rhythm and performance reminiscent of the 90’s in the sense of quality and striking style. He spends his verse using powerful street talk, brash lines that make the culture feel every single word he says.
Little things like ending his verse with ‘for GAWD sakes!’ Gives him the edge over so many others just for tying in a clever pun in the closer or for his vivid and at times violent sentences that force the audience to teleport themselves into the situation described and feel the wrath first hand!

Of course same can be said for the feature -Franklin who (just like on the EP) came in swift and precise with his wordplay and added the perfect chemistry to GAWD. Came in sounding like a though provoking bystander to the chaos of the streets documenting the events himself! The best example of a dynamic duo alongside GAWD and all this to say he provides the necessary contrast to the opening verse for a balanced and coherent narrative that everyone can get behind!

When discussing the production we have to strap in and say our prayers because this one is DEEP! It ain’t for the light hearted and once you press play you’ll understand why.
On this track we have those high shrieking chords that spring off in snippets in the background as well as some thick bass lines, modern style drum patterns and these gorgeous Jazz horns in a tad bit of a distorted acoustic that adds so much texture to the song!
I also love those droning synth style chords running throughout the entire song.

This is the type of track that puts hair on your chest, it’s brilliant and eerie in its simplicity. A solid producer can create an entire atmosphere on a mere few layers and that’s exactly what we have here! Shoutout to the producer!
