This is one of those artists I’ve been vocal about since I first discovered him. A man who defines originality, creativity and thinking outside the box. A man who has captivated the underground with his take on the Hip Hop genre and this time around he’s back with a double album to remind the audience once again JUST WHO THE FUCK HE IS! Let’s talk about it!

And that’s another thing. Although some names I know and fuck with, Money always introduces me to some fresh talent I’ve never heard of before! He’s second handedly building my report of rappers in the culture that’s so dope!

And man even from the opening track this album made me smile because it’s already unorthodox in execution! From that isolated vocal performance that sets the tone for the record. Sure it later evolved into this Jazz/Soulful instrumental full of lively guitar strings that reminds me of ‘Maggot Brain’ as well as some lush bass lines and smooth drums!

As the album continues we have tracks like -BOOM which feels dreamy as if I was astral projecting! It’s an almost 5 minute track that sinks your mental into the essence of the layers and doesn’t spit you out until the track it does, to say I was mesmerised would be an understatement! It starts with these lush and subtle keys that glide across the track in true harmony that later evolves into this mellow hip-hop track that is filled with smooth Jazz Horns snug in the background, more delicate keys in a secondary layer and some hypnotic drum work that wraps around the track to create a song unlike any I’ve heard all year!

Man, I can’t speak enough on Money. It’s already established his production aspects and his mind for the ‘music’ side is incredible but he’s also one of the more unique MC’s we have also! In a similar light to a man such as -Doza The Drum Dealer (another man I respect heavy) they both share a similar cadence in the fact that they are more or less free lance with their vocals, they don’t follow a set structure or path and end up creating their own rapping symphonies where words and bars land whenever and however they want to and they still make it sound stylish as fuck!

In this case, we are talking about an album that’s almost an hour in length and somehow (especially in this day and age) Mogly makes his verses sound entertaining, cinematic, lively and overall fun enough that you don’t feel bored or tired out by the length! He’s always so colorful with his wordplay, dynamic in speaking, his enunciations spotless and his swagger immense! The way he can immerse himself into the music itself as if he’s one with the soundscape is second to none and that also includes the chemistry!

Regardless of who he surrounds himself with he’s able to lock in synchronicity. From the names I am familiar with such as -Shottie & SKAM2? To the rest of the largely unknown names I got to experience Money hits it off with all of them and creates an explosive chemistry that makes each track feel not only elevated but individual in nature!

So far, the first album HIT A HOME RUN! From spectacular production to thrilling performances and captivating features this one has it all!
