Another day, another review! It seems this producer has been on a roll trying to put a stamp on his already stacked discography! Working with the whose who of MC’s in this game and today he’s back with one more to create his trademark untouchable chemistry yet again!

This is the brand new album by MC -LUNAR & Producer -KHEYZINE with features from
-WHEREISFOX
-KAÏMAN L’ANIMAL
-ICEBERG THEORY

And let me start off by saying this. I love an album that has a killer intro track. To me albums that start and end the album off well are the smart ones because most people are gonna walk away remembering how it started and finished more then anything and I can say with full confidence that the way this album starts off his killer!

It’s got this real smooth and stripped back minimalism to it that I found infectious as hell! I’m talking a loop of acoustic strings, light piano keys in a Jazz influence rhythm, some raw drums and this ambient style vocal harmonies!
I do love how they add the occasional electric guitar strings for some added texture but otherwise it’s as stripped as you can imagine!

The song -Saint’s-Germaine Prayer Robe has this larger than life aesthetic that features what sounds like synth infused bagpipes! Combined with those methodical drums and thick bass lines! Although toned down compared to other tracks this one has a theatrical atmosphere to it that I couldn’t shake!

The final track -Soma Cruz was absolutely divine! First of all talking about some Buddhist Monks which was dope, but besides that we have those gorgeous vocal loops that remind me of Jackson 5 Michael Jackson! (If that isn’t him already can’t tell) either way that’s combined with some high pitched chords and some light strings and drums to create a soulful experience unlike any other! Again what a killer way to end the album!

As far as the MC work goes, two things came to my mind instantly. Deep toned voice and ridiculously smooth puns. He gave me a prime Lil Wayne vibe with his wordplay! Each sentence had a pun, phrase, double entendre and more. He’s giving us a masterclass in slick lyricism that is equal parts entertaining, witty and vibrant!

His voice brings that 90’s Hip-Hop homage with that gritty undertone, raw charisma and in your face attitude! And his penmanship brings a strong mid to late 2000’s feel to me as the culture became more experimental and MC’s felt more comfortable trying new lanes of writing and to me this guys performance is the best of both worlds!

His features were also interesting! None of which I can say off the top of my head I remember listening to but each caught my attention in their own individual ways! -KAÏMAN most of all since it was rapped in a foreign language but his strong cadence and swagger was all there in spades as was the case for the other two! Each artist helped amplify their specific track and it’s energy!

Definitely -KHEYZINE’S most ambitious project to date and it works! Strong MC work with atmospheric production and killer features! TUNE IN!
