Black Handz

Yet again another Rulerz Inc release! After I finish this write up I should check on my website how many of these artists I’ve covered so far! They definitely seem to be on a mission to stamp their name and influence into the culture and this one is just one more brick into that empire!

This is the brand new track by MC -ACE De Niro & Producer -Self Taught and together they generate this rather chilling song that gives a more cold cut experience then most for the month! Let me explain

First of all if we discuss that instrumental we have this hypnotically structured beat that reminds of the 90’s in a lot of ways. The kind of loop based raw cuts that you’d find on a ‘GZA-Liquid Swords’ the type of track you could listen to once and have it stuck in your mind for days after!
The first thing you notice is those light yet bright keys that dance all over the beat in the same glorious rhythm! Those at the start are accompanied by this film snippet that sets the tone for the rest of the song!

As the song advances we hear the introduction of some plucked bass strings, shrieking synth chords that maintains itself throughout the entire track! Combined with some methodically paced drums and with these layers they craft an instrumental that will pierce your mind and soul until your left into the next week unconsciously tapping this tune on the work table without even realising what song your tapping! It’s that fucking powerful!

When we discuss the MC work we have a literal ‘ACE’ in the deck. He’s a man that makes his presence known immediately! Their ain’t no subtle or build up required for his performance it’s just straight forward, brash, unapologetic and raw!
So much so that right to the very end of the song he’s still talking shit damn near accepella! He doesn’t care if there’s a beat or not he’s gonna tell you what’s what and I gotta say it was fun as hell to experience!

In true 90’s essence he brings that savage, no thrills cadence that is based on the trademark elements of strong lyricism, passionate performances and fluent flows. Back in the day if you had those 3 things were golden and decades later if you apply the same logic your ACE! He doesn’t need to do any experimental shit or act wild he’s a MC Menance that is only interested in him and him alone, fuck a feature he’s all the track needs and he proves it!
